"This is a tranquil courtyard retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. While its location is in a very touristy area, it's an unparalleled choice if you're here to experience Hanfu in Jiangnan. Pingjiang Road itself is quite pleasant, definitely better than Beijing's Nanluoguxiang, as at least 90% of the shops are genuine local businesses. Initially, seeing all the vibrant qipao styles made me feel a bit out of place, and I almost considered moving to the Niccolo the next day. However, realizing that all the famous old Suzhou cuisine restaurants were nearby convinced me to stay. My booked 'Elegant' room was essentially a larger room, but I received an upgrade during check-in, which was great, especially being on the third floor. The public area on the first floor had a somewhat aged, old-house feel, but the upper floors were much better. I was genuinely surprised and impressed by the Bvlgari White Tea toiletries. The slippers had a very distinctive Jiangnan aesthetic, and the housekeeper even gave me a new pair to take home!"

"After a disastrous night at a small hotel near Suzhou Amusement Land, where I didn't sleep a wink and had to search for a new place overnight, choosing a Marriott property was definitely the right decision. I called the hotel around noon before leaving, and they initially informed me that no rooms were ready. However, upon arrival half an hour later, they still managed to check us in and even provided complimentary tickets to Hanshan Temple on the spot. The hotel is admittedly a bit dated, but being over 30 stories high, it offers fantastic views. The elevators to the upper floors were remarkably fast. The room was carpeted, and given my child's dust mite allergy, the fact that he didn't sneeze once all night speaks volumes about its cleanliness. Despite its age, all necessary amenities and facilities were present and functional. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious – almost as big as the main room! We didn't use the bathtub, but heard from other guests that the hotel could arrange on-site cleaning and disinfection; we just didn't want the hassle. A thoughtful feature was that the room didn't require a key card to activate electricity; it had its own power card, so the AC wouldn't switch off if you left the room briefly – a much more convenient setup than what you find in smaller hotels. The air conditioning, by the way, was incredibly powerful; we had to adjust the temperature several times because it got too cold! Even the bathroom had AC. The hotel breakfast offered a huge variety of dishes, and there were always plenty of seats available. They even provided takeaway boxes, and many guests took advantage of it. One minor quibble was that the milk for coffee was room temperature, which wasn't ideal. So, I ended up ordering cold milk via delivery and asked the hotel for ice to make my own coffee. My child devoured three bowls of fried noodles, declaring it the best hotel breakfast he'd ever had. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for accommodation near Hanshan Temple; you absolutely can't go wrong here."

"This stay was great! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the front desk staff mango welcomed me warmly and patiently answered my questions. The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the smart devices are super convenient to use. The breakfast has a wide variety of Chinese and Western options and tastes great. The surrounding transportation is convenient and traveling is very convenient. The price/performance ratio is very high. I will definitely choose this one next time I come here!"

"A perfect spontaneous getaway. The hotel service was exceptional. Upon check-in, they even added us on WeChat, and were incredibly responsive to any reasonable request. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly efficient and genuinely warm. A special shout-out to the lady at the breakfast pancake station, who warmly recommended a delicious chicken pancake. It was so truly exceptional, I devoured it before I could even snap a photo! When the noodle chef wasn't around, she even went to help at the noodle bar. What a wonderfully enthusiastic and hardworking 'busy bee'! This hotel is a real gem, and I'll definitely be back!"

"A little hotel in the modern area. The room looks very nice, it’s clean enough. There is a self check-in, which is puzzling for a foreigner, but the manager immediately helped us via WeChat and answered all the questions in no time. The room was on the second floor, so there is a nice view on the street, but unfortunately there were construction works going on outside, which started early in the morning. You can hear neighbours on the staircase and ours were really noisy singing songs and slamming doors at night. For hot water in the shower you should wait around 5 minutes. Also I’d like to see some tea on the room, there is none. Still, that’s not much of a problem, so overall experience was good."

"Our family booked two standard rooms and was absolutely delighted. Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautiful, traditional Chinese courtyard, complete with pavilions, rockeries, and lush greenery – truly a case of 'small but perfectly formed.' Our first day in Suzhou happened to be rainy, but honestly, we had no desire to leave our accommodations at all! Our rooms were decorated so warmly and tastefully; every detail of the design felt thoughtful and intentional. The concierge at the front desk was incredibly responsible and always responsive. Their service was impeccable – attentive yet never intrusive, making us feel completely at ease. Fresh afternoon fruit was also provided daily! The photos truly didn't do it justice; it was even more stunning in person. The bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable, ensuring we had a great night's sleep. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would absolutely visit again if we get the chance."

"Upon seeing online that the Lamborghini Scriptorium Hotel offered lake-view rooms, I eagerly made a booking. We were visiting Suzhou Museum with our child during the last few days of summer vacation. Arriving at the hotel, we were immediately captivated by its exquisite garden features. The staff's warm and attentive service further put us completely at ease. In particular, Yuki and Grace stood out for their professional and enthusiastic service, always going the extra mile for guests. Our room boasted upscale facilities and offered a comfortable, home-like ambiance. The spacious lake-view balcony provided expansive views and was literally right by the water, allowing us to see the boardwalk stretching into the lake from our vantage point. It was also incredibly convenient to take a stroll downstairs to the iconic Gate of the Orient, which could even be photographed directly from the hotel. Both the hotel's own Chinese restaurant and Su Mian Fang (Suzhou Noodle House) offered excellent quality dining. If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I would definitely choose this hotel and its lake-view rooms. The only minor drawback was the relatively small size of the hotel's swimming pool. However, as the hotel is part of the same group as the Crown Plaza, the staff enthusiastically arranged for us to use the Crown Plaza's pool. Their outdoor pool, open during summer, offered truly magnificent views of the lake and the Gate of the Orient!"

"I really loved this place. I had a view over the river and it was a very nice view at night. The hotel phoned me early the morning of my first day of stay to ensure that I did not get lost. I also forgot my charger there so they even sent me this via post back to my home . The location is great as it is just outside of Ancient Town.You basically cross a small bridge from Ancient town and you are there! The nice thing was that you are outside of the hustle and bustle of China Town but still close enough to quickly walkover. The room is great and cosy. I would stay there again."
