The Florida Keys are located off the southern coast of Florida. They are a string of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles south / southwest, forming the southernmost part of the continental United States.The Calusa Indians inhabited these islands over 6,000 years ago. In the early 1500’s the conquistador, Ponce De Leon sailed these waters and nearly wiped out the tribe. In the early 1900’s, the Florida Keys were only accessible by boat. This changed with the completion of the Henry Flagler Overseas Railway in 1912. Both master bedrooms have private on suites. The kids room, is actually a hidden behind a book case and has a Harry Potter theme. There is a double and two twins in the kids room. Be sure to surprise your kids with the hidden door and see if they can find it upon arrival.
