A lovely looking hotel, and friendly reception, comfortable beds and pillow.
But, so noisy as the rooms are not sound proofed. The bathroom looks lovey, but a bit impractical as there were leakages and water on the floor after a shower.
Breakfast is served next door - simple and adequate.
So much blaring noise from across the lake - difficult to really relax.

near the tourist train station. walking distance to the ancient city. overall it's good but only complaint I have is the smoking...the lobby allows people to smoke and also at night I think I can smell smoke in my room.

房間比較大，很漂亮。和圖片一樣，天熱的話感覺會很涼快。是我在眾多酒店裡選的一家。出門去哪裡都方便，也安靜。酒店給的攻略也很給力，我都是按着看景點，按着吃了好幾家。很客觀的建議。如果可以把衞生間的衞生細節再弄乾凈一點就更好了。房間我喜歡亮敞一點的。這有一點點的暗。但是不影響。白天都跑出去玩了，時間如果多，可以好好在房間喝個茶。

酒店的位置很好，很漂亮很出片。
沒在古城裡，但是距離古城東門僅兩百米，步行一分鐘可到，走到建水小火車首發站五分鐘，而且有免費停車場，對自駕客很方便。
院子是古宅改建的，所以佈局沒有那麼明亮的，在房間裏有點黑。
房間裏設施不錯，看得出老闆在盡力改善，但是我們入住的除夕和初一，一共停電三次，其中一次長達五六個小時，對我來説有點難受（能理解，不是酒店的錯）😣但下次來應該不會再住古城片區了。
早餐有米線還有粥飯、點心、雞蛋，
服務很好，入住和退房都幫忙搬運了行李。
如果老城片區能電壓穩定，體驗感應該會大大上升。

The guest house is just a few minutes walk from Chaoyang Gate, the eastern entrace of the old city. It's in a small alley, so very quiet. The rooms were clean and well-equiped. The owner lady was extremely warm and welcoming, offering all kinds of advice for first-time travellers in the town. There is usually a toufu-grilling and tea session in the evening when you can socialise with the other travellers. Breakfast started a bit late, but had a good variety of food.

A cup of tea here is a lazy time in the afternoon. You can leave the noisy and flashy city life, enjoy the simple peace, feel the simple customs and experience the local national culture. Let the tired body, impetuous heart, a long time to relax.The rooms are equipped with complete supporting facilities, broad vision, sufficient sunshine, comfortable and intimate, spacious and bright. The tea flavor of each room is rich. They are all star hotel quality latex mattresses. All the linen on the bed is Hilton's. all the guests who have stayed in praise of each other and sleep soundly and sweetly at night. quiet , nice place to stay. easy walking distance to the old town. the owner was really kind to help me w my bag and send me to the main road to get a taxi which was v appreciated else I have to drag my bag along the small lanes.

衞生：民宿裏他家要説第二沒人敢説第一
環境：建水古城朝陽樓內，步行去朱家花園幾分鐘，位置和環境都是最好的
服務：店家老闆是個温文爾雅的女士，平時很少説話（但因我本人入住生病，反而麻煩她親自給送了外賣點的粥，因為走的匆忙沒能當面説聲謝謝，回到北京寫評論，這裏道謝🙏了）然後開始説説服務，接我的是客服大姐接:那態度是我見過的南方女人裏最熱情的，沒有之一！因為酒店地處古城內，停車衹能停在別人家飯店門口，入住和離店都是她給搬運盈利，不到1米6的身高，好能幹！👍
再説説酒店大哥，很外向和健談，得知我發燒後還單獨跑葯店給我買了個新的水銀温度計🙏，這次帶孩子來也匆匆去也匆匆，以後再去雲南出差，一定開車過去陪你喝點小酒😜
總之，我們一家四口今天回到北京了，這次建水之旅真的特別🙏對我們的照顧，尤其我生病期間，感謝🙏感謝！希望有緣再見。如果以後你們來北京一定記得電話我，讓我也盡地主之誼。

MMabelThe place has so much history and culture - we are privileged to be able to be able to experience it all during our time in Jianshui.
The host (Zhao) is amazing - when we first arrived, he brought us around the place and told us all about it. During our stay, he goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable. He even accompanied me to the pharmacy to get some medication. We felt right at home after a day and felt sad to leave.
This place is close enough to the ancient city (7 min by foot). Around the corner, there is a local morning market. It’s small but you could see the hustle and bustle and even pick up some local fruits/food!
Room is not big but it is sufficient and clean. We weren’t confined to our room because the communal area is very inviting. You get to play with the occasional resident cat and dog!
Overall, this is a highly recommended for travelers seeking unique experiences!

Location : a 5mn walk from the Old city, and from lots of restaurants at night. very easy to find.
Staff : very nice staff! Despite not speaking English, they tried their best to please me. They helped me book a taxi, and talk to the driver. I was disappointed I was not in the building with the garden, and granted me access to the garden part.
Hotel : Congratulations to the designer, who is a VERY talented person. The design, mixing old and new, is absolutely stunning. It respects tradidtions, but with a twist.
the garden is exceptional. having the tea there was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Rooms : they are super luxurious, huge, with marble bathrooms and Japanese toilets. But a loise of traffic noise from mine.
Only downside : this hotel is made of two buildings, which are on the other side of the street. The fish tank building has this amazing fisthtank, but it located in a VERY noisy street. My bedroom was overlooking the street, it was difficult in the morning. The garden building is super calm in an alley, all the rooms are overlooking this incredible old garden, no noise. I would recommend the owner to clearly indicate in which building the rooms are during the booking to avoid any potential disappointment upon arrival. rooms in the fishtank part are the cheapest.
Overall I was happy with my stay, it's one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. But beware of the building you are booking to avoid surprises! I wish I had stayed longer.

BBrownThis was my second stay at the White hotel in Jianshui. The check in process is almost instantaneous, and the very friendly woman at the desk can speak English. The rooms are very spacious, extremely clean, very well appointed, and there is really nothing to be improved on. I would certainly recommend this place for others to stay. It is an easy walk into any part of the ancient town as it centrally located. Great place to stay. If I go back to genuine Shui for my fourth trip, I will certainly stay there again.  There is underground parking a one minute walk from the hotel and guests park for free. This is a really huge benefit in the ancient town of Janish way.

PPengguna TetamuThis was my bad for not checking more closely, but this hotel isn't located inside the ancient city. If you were to come from the train station and then take a bus to the ancient city gate, it's a bit of a walk to this hotel. I believe it'd be a good stay for drivers since there's a parking lot, but not for people without cars. Moreover, there is currently really loud construction right outside the hotel that starts early in the morning, so be mindful of that. Otherwise the room itself is fine, pretty spacious and clean.

The team is really kind, and my stay was quite happy time.
Located at a few meters form the South gate of the ancient City, buses that bring to the railway station and to the long distance buses station are not far.

AAaron CedricI always stay at this hotel when I come to Jianshui because it has a central location and very nice rooms. And my Gosh, the shower is amazing!!! High pressure and different levels of hot water, including 'lobster boil hot' if that's your thing. I also like that they use local Jianshui pottery in the room... nice touch and makes you want to buy some... which they sell in the lobby. Oh, and the shop immediately next door also sells pottery, and his pottery is quite unique compared to the rest of town.... it's a bit expensive but you can tell master artists made it... whereas most pottery around town is clearly made by novices or computers. Anyways, back to the hotel, I included 2 photos, one of my room and 1 of the view from my room. The front desk can also help you arrange local excursions or whatever else you ask for, although I have to admit that some front desk workers are friendlier and more helpful than others. Im not sure if they speak English since I only spoke to them in Chinese. All in all, I feel very comfortable recommending this hotel since it's a good value and has been reliable for me.

YYunyousihaiBG一大家人定了4間房住了兩晚到建水古城住在他家，剛好把小院包了，，環境古香古色，老闆熱情耿直，房間乾淨，家人都非常滿意舒服，我都是做酒店行業，不比高星級酒店差。所以必須認真評論，第二天礦泉水，牙刷，一次性馬桶圈套都重新填補，主動詢問衛生需不需要打掃。最主要環境真心好。裝修細節就可以看出來。晚上老闆主動把座椅放在小院我們休息聊天，下次有機會再到建水必須再住這裏

PPengguna Tetamu整棟樓裏全是古董和字畫，對於書畫愛好者簡直天堂！！！床單被褥都很乾凈，房間明亮通透，通風換氣好，上下樓是古建築那種樓梯，有天井，有亭台，喜歡中式古建築的來住吧，不喜歡不理解這種風格的希望不要詆毀。

Take the number 18 bus from the station. Get off at 永祯路口（建水大道) 站.
Be aware that the budget rooms are downstairs on the ground floor, where the bathroom drains smell and where the downstairs lounge area is, so you get the noise of guests laughing and joking at midnight.
If you qualify with Trip.com for a late checkout, they won't give you one because it's against their policy - so Trip benefits are a waste of time really.
But the hotel is generally good and the staff are friendly.
