Hotel berhampiran Neicheng, Jiayuguan

The hotel is situated about 20minutes away from the train station. we got in quite early and they allow us to check in. they even upraded us to a bigger room. swrvice is amazing. they have assisted us with the travel plan way before we arrive. that helps with our planning. the cleanliness is above acceptable range. their laundry room is great although i didnt get to use it. we still had some cloths oeft for the next journey so we dont really need to use it. best thing is that they provide a great individual packet of soap for washing. The front desk staff was so friendly that they even helped us booked a cab driver to bring us around to all the main attractions. That helped us save a lot of time trying to get the didi around town. Going in to the places of interest is fine, problem is getting a car to come out. So we decided to book for the full day. The breakfast was really satisfying. Full line of food for breakfast and enough for all choices of travelers to choose from. Would definitely recommend the hotel. A great and clean place to stay for sure.

The room was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Upon my arrival, the lady at the front desk thoughtfully offered me skin moisturizer, knowing how dry the weather is in this region. Before I checked out, this morning when I check out, she also provided several bottles of water and wet tissues, reminding me to take care of myself in the dry climate. The security uncle were equally helpful. When I was looking for coffee, he went out of his way to switch on the coffee machine and assist me without hesitation. What separates a good hotel chain from a great one is not just the quality of the rooms or facilities, it is the people. The genuine care, kindness, and attentiveness of the staff made my stay memorable and left a lasting impression.

Very impressed with that hotel and the staff. Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around. The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅 The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system. Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely. The fitness area is a bit minimalist. Self laundry is available and works great. I will return for sure. A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option.In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops). Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

자위관 호텔(嘉峪关宾馆,Jiayuguan Hotel :관청 쓰처우즈루 문화 보란위안,关城丝绸之路文化博览园店, Guancheng Silk Road Culture Expo Park)은 4성급 호텔로 가욕관역에서 6km 떨어져 있으며 화차점에서 4,15로 공교차가 가욕관 시내를 연결해주며 4로 공교차를 타고 주강빈관(酒钢宾馆,JIU GANG BIN GUAN) 버스정류장에서 하차하면 됩니다. 가욕관을 대표하는 4성급 호텔답게 객실은 넓고 쾌적하며 청소 상태 양호하고 어메니티도 잘 갖추어져 있습니다. 직원들도 매우 친절하고 외국인도 의사 소통에 아무런 문제가 없습니다. 가성비도 뛰어납니다. 내가 가욕관을 다시 방문한다면 반드시 이 호텔을 다시 방문할 것입니다. 좋은 호텔입니다. 엄지 척! 별 다섯입니다☆☆☆☆☆

Another Staff always competent and friendly. Room appears to be all new construction- comfortable bed, nice lighting scheme, decent sized bathroom, solid new electric sockets and buttons, spacious room in general, probably as good as it gets for non-smoking in China, friendly staff, fruit stands in quick walking distance, walking distance to busses that will can get you to the high-speed rail station (#12), and that will get you to the Great Wall Pass fort place (#4).

The room was a bit smaller than we thought, especially the bathroom. But it's ok for an overnight stay. The staff was helpful and showed us the laundry room, which was a bonus for us motorcycle travellers. Breakfast was good with a good selection. The only thing is, it's advertised as a coffee hotel but we have to pay for the coffee, only instead coffee was free in the room. We've stayed in a coffee hotel before and espresso coffee was free.

Clean and spacious. Some eateries and massage salons around the area. Shower area separate from toilet. There was a water cut one morning which the hotel didn't inform us, though it was a scheduled maintenance. They restored water supply when we called up the front desk.

Good location near major sites and restaurants are nearby and walkable to Datang food street. The reception Staff and those serving breakfast are fantastic. The food is varied. The Queen business room is sizeable but I found the shower room needs hooks to hang my clothes and draining can be problematic if I use a lot of water. The air conditioner was not working apparently they were doing some refurbishing. Overall the location, breakfast. Room size and staff give a good value

Our stay was excellent. We arrived at night, very tired after a long journey, and were warmly and efficiently welcomed. The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The service provided by all the staff—from reception to housekeeping and the breakfast area—was consistently kind and professional. A great advantage was the self-service laundry facilities, which allowed us to wash our clothes conveniently. Another highlight was the varied buffet breakfast: everything was fresh and delicious, and we truly enjoyed it—trying a few new dishes for the first time! The location is outstanding, just across from the station. We would gladly stay here again without hesitation and will certainly recommend it.

Overall, decent stay. The hotel has a great aesthetic to it, although it can be a bit dark and dim at night. The room lights match this aesthetic and are pretty dim as well. The room itself was a bit on the smaller side, with a bathroom door that doesn't give much room for you to enter between its swing range and the toilet. The bathroom door did not seal well and water got all over the floor. There isn't any space in the bathroom to put your stuff, and only the shower door handle to hang your towel. There isn't a strong cigarette smell in the lobby or room which is a pleasant surprise compared to most chinese hotels, only a slight lingering smell in the hallways. Breakfast which was included was very nice. The hotel is on a street with decent amount of restaurants and shops. Location wise I don't think there's much to do in the city and one would mostly travel by taxi or didi anyway. The staff were very pleasant and one of them even let me stay in my room until 4pm without charge since my train wasn't departing until the evening.
