The environment is great, and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. It feels like being taken care of at home!

Let's start with the positives: The room was clean and hygienic, with a separate wet and dry area. It was very spacious, and the amenities were well-stocked, even including some local snacks. The breakfast offered a lot of local specialties, saving us from having to go out to eat, which was a huge plus. The staff were also very warm and friendly. My only complaint is the sound insulation. First, there was the crowing of roosters in the morning, and then the heavy slamming of doors every time someone left their room. I must have heard it dozens of times in one morning. I personally suggest at least adding some soundproofing under the doors and buffer stoppers to each door so they don't slam shut so heavily. That would make a big difference. That morning, I was actually quite frustrated, as you can't expect all guests to be considerate and close doors softly. The facilities should provide proper sound insulation. However, the wonderful breakfast managed to soothe our frustration.

A hidden gem. I don't even want to share this review to make this hotel too popular! As a person who doesn't speak very good Chinese, the staff at this hotel were very accommodating despite the language barrier. When you first arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by a creative garden complete with outdoor dining areas, swings, a fish tank, and more. On check in, the receptionist was very attentive to all of my questions and directed me to the places I asked about through wechat. It was very easy to follow the directions. I was also offered a spread of fresh fruit to enjoy before settling in my room. The room was spacious and clean and had the most advanced toilet that I have ever used! There was a wide open window for a beautiful view of the dialou across the pond. The suite of amenities was also much appreciated, including snacks, toiletries, and slippers. A highlight of this hotel is the breakfast. They not only provide the standard Chinese breakfast fare such as porridge and pastries, but also served local kaiping specialties. They also have food you can order off of a menu but I didn't have anything during my stay. Upon checkout I was also given a goodie bag filled with local specialties and treats which was much appreciated!

The B&B is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the room is clean, comfortable, and very modern. The service was excellent; the owner and manager were incredibly warm and generous, making us feel right at home. They even offered unique local souvenirs. A special shout-out to the self-service breakfast, which had a rich variety of dishes, including many local specialties. It was a truly enjoyable stay.

I booked this guesthouse randomly and was so pleasantly surprised! The room was exactly like the pictures, even more exquisite in person. The custom furniture had a unique charm, and the tranquil view outside the window made sitting on the balcony with the breeze incredibly relaxing. The cleanliness was exceptional; I couldn't find a speck of dust on the tables or even in the window sills. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless, and the mattress had just the right amount of support, perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The soundproofing was excellent, and the double blackout curtains ensured a perfect night's rest. The air conditioning cooled quickly and silently. The staff were incredibly friendly; they not only prepared welcome snacks but also thoughtfully provided travel tips. The location is about a ten-minute walk from the main attractions, with restaurants and small shops nearby, making it convenient for both getting around and shopping. It's absolutely perfect for couples or solo travelers – a true hidden gem of a guesthouse, highly recommended!

Arrived at night, and the lighting and ambiance were so inviting! The soft lights and beautiful surroundings really captivated my family. The room was also exceptionally clean, and watching the Diaolou outside the window from our room at night was just stunning. We slept wonderfully, and in the morning, the air in the courtyard carried the fresh, idyllic scent of rice paddies – so refreshing. We even had a delicious special lunch. We'll definitely be back!

Came for a fall break stay at this B&B, here's my honest review! 1. Great for kids: sandpit, rocking horse, piano, and karaoke. 2. Food: complimentary fruit buffet, and the breakfast is rich and varied (worth praising, everyone picking up food wore masks). For dinner, I recommend the crucian carp baked rice (has ginger, so maybe not ideal for kids) and the lotus leaf baked chicken. 3. The B&B is located inside Zili Village. In November, there are still beautiful rice paddies nearby, and it's a 15-minute drive to Chikan Ancient Town. 4. The duvet in the tatami room was a bit small, but you can ask for an extra one, and it was delivered promptly even past 10 PM.

I'd give this hotel a mediocre 3-star rating. The food was good, the outdoor dining environment was comfortable, and we even received a souvenir upon departure. However, for a hotel priced at over 700 in a fourth-tier city, and with such a high 4.9 rating, the overall experience was far below expectations. Firstly, it's the first time I've encountered such an expensive room rate without a dedicated butler service. No one reached out to me via WeChat throughout my stay, and there was no phone in the room, meaning I had to go down to the front desk on the first floor to find a staff member. Upon arrival, no one offered to help with our luggage to the room. When trying to order crucian carp, they consistently refused, insisting on recommending crucian carp with rice. The female front desk staff member was quite assertive. Secondly, the sleep experience was very poor. We came seeking the tranquility of the countryside, but were woken up at 8 AM by the sound of drilling from nearby construction. It completely ruined our initial intention of relaxing. I also mentioned this to the gentleman who seemed to be the owner at the tea counter, but he simply brushed it off with a casual remark and left. His attitude towards guests was also rather cold. For breakfast, the taro was rotten and smelled bad! They don't have heated buffet equipment; all the food is served in regular plates. What's more, guests were required to wear masks when getting food. Their own equipment is inadequate, yet they expect guests to accommodate them! Finally, the check-out experience was not good. We had planned to have lunch at the restaurant at 11:30 AM. Just as we were about to order, the same female front desk staff member informed us that we had to check out by 12:30 PM, so we decisively gave up on having lunch there. At over 700, the price is already on the higher side for Kaiping, but it didn't match the corresponding service quality and living experience. The value for money is a bit low. I definitely won't be staying here again. Next time, I'll try Lazy Cat.

The owner is incredibly warm and professional, the room views are absolutely stunning, and the surrounding rice paddies offer fresh air and a beautiful environment. The lobby is stocked with fruits and snacks, and there are even more complimentary snacks in the room. Breakfast is also very rich and varied. While the exterior may not look as grand as a typical hotel, the interior is on par with a four-star establishment. Snacks are replenished daily, and the TV even comes with a premium subscription. Plus, there's a fantastic breakfast with a nine-compartment platter, porridge, and noodles. This truly is the pinnacle of B&B experiences!

My 89-year-old father's review: Our whole family drove to Guangdong for a trip, and we booked a guesthouse called "Wushisandu Zhuxia" to visit the Diaolou in Kaiping. Based on my past impressions, guesthouses usually can't compare to hotels in terms of food and accommodation. But to my surprise, upon checking in, my eyes lit up, and I found it to be excellent! I couldn't help but give this 'unassuming' guesthouse a big thumbs-up: First, let's talk about the 'hardware': 1. This guesthouse occupies a significant area, with a garden of about seven or eight mu, featuring a man-made 'waterfall' with gushing water, a koi pond for viewing, swings for leisure, and many flowers and plants, giving off a feeling of a secluded paradise. 2. There's an elegantly and warmly decorated common area with tables and chairs for relaxing, unwinding, and having breakfast. There's also a piano that serves as both a decoration and an instrument (my granddaughter even played a tune), creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. 3. The guesthouse has three floors of guest rooms, but there's an elevator, just like many hotels. You even need to swipe your room card to operate it, which is both safe and convenient. 4. The rooms are bright and clean, and the bathroom even has a smart toilet with a bidet function, which is quite rare even in many star-rated hotels. Now, for the 'software': 1. Upon check-in, each room received a complimentary set of five different small pastries. 2. The common area offered nearly ten types of complimentary fruits for guests to enjoy freely. 3. You can order dinner according to your needs, and the food is delicious and savory. 4. Breakfast is entirely homemade, and its exquisite level is no less than that of a star-rated hotel. There are many varieties, all delicious, and you can enjoy them as much as you like, along with coffee and local specialty hot tea. 5. Upon departure, each room received a complimentary local specialty gift (fermented bean curd, tea, noodles) as a souvenir. It's truly touching that a guesthouse can achieve such standards and humanized service. We repeatedly expressed our sincere gratitude to the guesthouse owner, and this also motivated me to promote and publicize their establishment voluntarily. For this purpose, I even took many photos to get a more intuitive and direct understanding of this guesthouse.

The B&B is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The garden-style design shows that the owner is someone who loves life and meticulously maintains the place, keeping it clean. The rooms are tasteful and well-appointed, even offering small snacks. A special shout-out to the breakfast – the pastries are exquisite and perfectly seasoned, and you can try several local Kaiping rice cakes, all generously filled. The home-cooked dishes are large portions and delicious too, highly recommended. I'll definitely visit again.

We had a great time and the owner was lovely. The room was very clean and it is walking distance to Zili Village, coffee shop and restaurant. Overall the location is very convenient! Looking forward to come back again!
