Hotel berhampiran Theodor-Zink-Museum, Kaiserslautern

I enjoyed this hotel very much. My treatment was wonderful and the staff is very professional. friendly, courteous and go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Room was amazing. Clean and comfortable!! Great location to get around from. Breakfast was great and a nice addition. Highly recommend it!!

Hotel location is excellent, just a short walk from train station (slightly downhill) and close to old city center / touristy areas and farmers market on Saturday. Rooms are basic but very clean. Air conditioner is great, especially during the hot summers. Towels slightly old, but very clean - everything is changed daily. Bathroom again is basic, amenities are only body shampoo / shower gell - so if you need additional items (eg cotton buds, shower cap, etc.) then bring your own. Breakfast selection is not bad. Hotel design is modern / compact. Closets are open, which is great - gives the room more space and less likely to leave anything behind in the hotel. Beds are flexible: two wins which can be passed apart or together, as needed. Pillows, sheets and blankets are very comfortable. Service is good - the front desk person was new, but the manager was on hand immediately to resolve any issues. There is parking behind the hotel - but not many spaces, so you will need to be early to get a space, or lucky. Highly recommend this budget hotel - especially if you are traveling by train.

Leider ist das Hotel nicht so leicht zu finden, wenn man mit der Bahn und Bus anreist. Wenn der Busfahrer gefragt wird und noch in die falsche Richtung verweist, wird es richtig schwierig, zumal wir in die entgegengesetzte Richtung geleitet wurden. Erst bei Nachfrage bei Anwohnern haben wir den Weg zum Hotel gefunden. Unser Hinweis an die Rezeption, zumindest an den entsprechenden Bushaltestellen einen Wegweiser zum Hotel anzubringen, wurde nach dem Verhalten der Mitarbeiter bestimmt nicht an die Geschäftsführung weitergeleitet. Im Grunde macht das Business-Hotel einen guten Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind klein und zweckmäßig, die Lounge mit der Bar einladend und gut besucht. Die offenen Räume für das Frühstück können auch sonst genutzt werden. Auffällig sind englischsprachige Gäste und die Kommunikation mit den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern des Hotel bereitet keine Probleme. Das Frühstück ist ein Selbstbedienungsbufett mit 2 Kaffeevollautomaten, Mineralwasser, Milch, Säfte, Fleisch- und Käseaufschnitt, gekochten Eiern sowie Cerealien für Müsli. Die Normbrötchen sind leider aufgebacken und nicht sehr schmackhaft. Zum Glück gibt es auch Graubrotscheiben. Eine Besonderheit ist der Pancake-Automat, den wir auch noch nicht kannten. Nach Auskunft der aufgeschlossenen und freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen die für Nachschub beim Frühstück sorgen, ist dieser Pancake-Automat bei allen Gästen sehr beliebt. Wir hatten über unseren Reiseveranstalter Halbpension gebucht und waren dann doch über das jeweilige 2-Gänge-Menü sehr verwundert. Anscheinend erfolgt für die vorgefertigten Produkte der Mikrowelleneinsatz. Am ersten Abend gab es einen gemischten Salat sowie Nudeln Arrabiata und am zweiten Abend Hähnchen-Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln und Ben&Jerrys Eis aus dem Pappbecher. Bei dem nicht besonders schmackhaften Angebot sollte das Hotel auf die Halbpension verzichten. Am dritten Abend wurden wir auf das American Restaurant Diner´s Kullman verwiesen. Dort konnten wir a´la Carte-Essen für 15 € pro Person auf Kosten des Hotels. Das gute Essen dort war für uns eine ein schönes Erlebnis für das bisher doch unzureichende und wenig schmackhafte Hotelangebot Abends.

This is my second stay at the Schloss Hotel in Landstuhl. I have also stay at another hotel on a previous business trip. I selected the Schloss over the other one for a variety of reasons, one of which is the location atop the mountain. As we were still facing COVID-19 restrictions, I did not know what to expect. Suffice it to say, while the bar was closed, it was still possible to buy beer and drink outside or in your room. The usual breakfast buffet turned in to something more simple; however, there was plenty of food, just not fresh eggs. What I did find surprising was that the spa/sauna was opened. I took complete advantage of this. All in all, a very nice stay as expected. I really find the employees to be friendly and helpful.

We stopped nearby at the Tesla supercharger. What a luck to be able to eat at this excellent restaurant for the third time! There is a large choice of foods, from vegan to different meat dishes. We tried different things in our three visits and were very enthusiastic with the quality and with the personnel. We look forward to coming again.
