Excellent hotel staff and service . The food provided is very good especially the Italian restaurant. The swimming pool is superior with beautiful scenery. Give us an unforgettable memory in Rhodes.

This is a great hotel, the food, drinks, service was excellent. We were a bit disappointed that the inside gym was not ready, especially as our room was above and we could hear all the banging, however this was more than made up by the Pilates and aqua Pilates taught by Katerina who was an excellent teacher of Pilates. We also did aqua gym and a bit of Zumba. I especially loved the Asian Restaurant, and the top balcony where you can sit with a cocktail and watch the sun down. The cart dor Icecream was delicious and so many flavours, we all loved them. My grandson also loved the fresh pancakes.

It’s true the check in is very slow , I had even processed on line a pre check in with all our details before we arrived. A little frustrating as all we wanted to do was to get to our room to freshen up after a long journey. Having said that the staff at the hotel were amazing . A special mention to all the bar staff at the beach bar. All work so hard and nothing is too much trouble . The pool guys and life guards were all great. I had a slip by the pool and hit my head, no one’s fault except my own. However the pool guys were amazing and checked in my well being the next day. We did have some short power cuts , this was due to the fires in the south of the island which did not inconvenience us at all. The air con worked well in our room, another room not so good but the hotel sorted it next day. We did try to book the ala carte on line before we went but found it difficult. Don’t despair you can book when you get to the hotel. We did the Greek ala carte fun night with gorgious (aka goose). The Asian was a lovely evening trying different dishes. The pool is amazing , kids pool with slides. The aqua park near to hotel is a 20 minute walk , a hike up hill but well worth it. We had a great day there too. The all inclusive food is good. You can always get something to eat. Drinks are all premium. You can get table service in the beach bar so you don’t have to queue up. Usually you’re queuing for cocktails. The bar staff will always do any cocktail you like. Again amazing staff and so hard working. Beach!!!! Unfortunately it was my only disappointment. It’s very stoney and snorkelling not great. However the sun beds on the beach are lovely and comfortable. We was a family party of 11 people in 4 rooms. We all had a lovely time. It has to be said that what makes a holiday is if you’re courteous to the staff then it’s reciprocated. We all made the effort to say goodbye before we left to everyone who had made us feel special. In turn they had told us that it makes them feel special and helps them enjoy their job. I would like to mention all those staff individually but would take me too long. Take the bus from outside the hotel to Rhodes town , go to old town lovely restaurants and worth a visit.

It's worth pointing out that I booked this hotel based on the fact that there were more positive Trip Advisor reviews than not, which was becoming increasingly hard to find! I did take the negative reviews on board, however, and I have to say that I would absolutely agree with the majority of these. Having said that, we had a fabulous holiday where we all fully recharged and I have no regrets in booking. A quick run through of what we believed the resort was lacking with some suggestions on how it could improve: - The queue to be seated for breakfast, lunch and dinner could sometimes be really long. Whilst the tables are nicely spaced out, perhaps more could be added outside with the addition of parasols as some tables were lacking sufficient shade. - Ensure that once seated, guests are offered a drink as quickly as feasibly possible. On most occasions we had to seek out a waiter ourselves (and it couldn't just be any old waiter!) to put in a drinks order, and on occasions the drinks arrived long after we'd finished our meal. - An additional coffee machine at breakfast would help ease the pressure of the waiting staff. Hundreds of guests queuing for only one machine wasn't the best start to the day. - Whilst we're on the topic of queues, the queue for the beach bar was RIDICULOUS. We got in the habit of ordering 2 drinks each every time we went to this bar to avoid the queue as much as possible, but also because the cocktails were so small. They tasted delicious but far too much ice and not enough of the good stuff. My suggestion would be to have a drinks machine where the guests could help themselves to various soft drinks. Even a self-service coffee machine might be useful here. In addition, having some of the more popular cocktails made up in the advance might help - for example, we have been to resorts where they had pina coladas and mud slides pre-made as a 'slushy' which could then be served as a non-alcoholic drink or add the rum or vodka for those who like theirs to be a little spicy. It worked very well. - Also, a menu at the bar would be great. Having to go into the App to locate the menu was rather tedious, especially as it's quite nice to be gadget free whilst on the beach. The inside bar was much quieter during the day and it was always nice to grab an aperitif on our way up to the room for us to drink whilst getting ready for dinner. - More queuing required for the Creperie. My son had had one every day (his holiday vice) but the queue was always 20-30 mins. - There is only one block of toilets for the pool/beach and beach bar area. There are only 2 ladies' toilets and so more queuing was required here. Another set of outside toilets would really alleviate this. - Don't book this hotel if it's the Chocolaterie and patisserie which has sold it to you. The 'Chocolaterie' is simply a selection of puddings from the buffet. Not once did we ever see anyone serving or eating here. When we asked about this we were told that

When you look online for a holiday the pictures always look amazing. On arrival at The Dama Dama we we're not disappointed. This hotel was everything and more of what we wanted. Perfect. Welcoming. Relaxing. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent choice of food and drink in the main restaurant. With a la carte dinning too, if you fancy an Asian, Greek or Italian night. We enjoyed two out of the three, just to make it that little bit more special for us.. Our room was perfect with plenty of space. Overlooking the sea from our balcony. Coffee machine and fridge in the room, with drinks stocked up on a regular basis. Crystal clear sea, shingle beach, but even then you can overcome with swim shoes. Beautiful pool which is an absolute delight at night when it is all lit up. The lobby and beach bars always a hive of activity serving a wide selection of drinks. If you want water sports there's plenty to do. Great animation team who offer plenty of activities if you want them. Gym and spa are available if you want. Who could ask for more? We certainly couldn't. It was the same height as Mary Poppins.... Practically Perfect In Every Way.

Me and my friend stayed here for a week. The hotel is lovely. We had one of the garden bungalows which had a large room and large bathroom and was very modern. The only issue was getting suitcases up and down the stairs to the room. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Reception booked us taxis when we needed them and room service and housekeeping staff were concerned when I was stuck in the room for 24 hours due to illness. Both offered to call a doctor which luckily was not needed. There are improvements which could be made and have been mentioned by others. There need to be more bars. There is only one on the beach and one in the main lobby. There is a long queue at the beach bar in the day and at the lobby bar in the evening. We were told that the beach bar was open until midnight but we found it closed when we dined at the Greek restaurant. We could only have soft drinks, wine or beer with dinner because the bar wasn’t open. It was difficult to get reservations at the a la carte restaurants. There was only availability to dine at the Asian restaurant at 9:00pm during our stay and we couldn’t get booked into the Italian restaurant. We were also told on arrival about the snack area next to the lobby bar which served desserts until 10:00pm and then pizzas until 3:00am. When we went to get a pizza at 1:00am after a night out, we found it was left over buffet food from dinner which was disappointing and we didn’t risk it! Room service was an additional cost and not included in the all inclusive package. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the improvements mentioned would definitely have made it an even better stay.

We spent 11 nights in Dama Dama. If you want a super long detailed review, scroll down. If you just want a summary: Pros - beautiful grounds. The pool, gardens, views. Amazing. - Sunbeds are very comfortable - The a la cartes were great - Good location to reach lindos and Rhodes old town - Great all inclusive drinks - Amazing October weather! - Right on the beach To improve (but definitely not bad) - the buffet quality and variety - Keep beach buffet lunch open in October - Set clear expectations of rooms and their views on the website to make the best decision At check-in, we experienced a bit of a long wait. I’m not sure why. A few days into our stay we mentioned on our survey that our experience was perfect but the check-in had room for improvement. I have to give credit, the supervisor requested that we meet with her and she really took our feedback on board. We couldn’t have asked for more in terms of customer service, we felt listened to and we weren’t really complaining, it was just one thing that could’ve been improved. I’ve seen some people checking in since and the process seems a lot smoother with people being offered drinks and to go down to the buffet before it closes for the night which would’ve made our experience better :) ultimately we were just tired and hungry! Our bags were brought to our room by the lovely doorman. Pool The pool is amazing but absolutely FREEZING. Even after a round of aqua gym it’s still cold! The sea is 10x warmer. We also used the indoor pool once (which was also freezing! Please at least heat this one) but it was a super relaxing space to be in and a nice luxury touch to the hotel. Gym The new cardio indoor gym is nice but the weights section really need to be moved to here. The outdoor section is dangerous with little shade and unstable decking. The racking isn’t screwed to the floor and the whole thing moves, so does the bench. Dangerous and in need of improvement. Beach I ignored everybody’s advice against beach shoes. It’s not a nice to have, it really is a must. I’d say it’s dangerous to go in the sea without them as it’s so rocky. We loved the beach and we’re not beach people at all. The loungers were so comfortable and the sea was beautiful and warm. It was so clear you could see loads of huge fish, if you’re into snorkelling you’ll have a great time here. The hotel having its own section of beach felt pretty luxurious. Sun-beds We had no issue really. We’d grab one on the way to breakfast or if not we’d go to the beach where there were always some free. By the end of our stay we could get one anytime of day anywhere we wanted. They are by far the comfiest loungers we’ve ever experienced! We also had use of one of the cabanas for a couple of days which was a nice treat. Beach bar We spent a lot of time here. Very accommodating and friendly staff, we stayed for 5 night in October 2023 and had a lovely time. The thing that stood out to us the most was how friendly and helpful the staff were and they were so accommodating to our needs - we experienced some issues with our shower and within an hour they were able to send up someone from maintenance to fix it. We were given late checkout for free by Claudia who was always really friendly on reception. Despite having some issues booking the restaurants, once speaking to the manager we were able to get reservations for 2 nights of our stay (unfortunately the Greek restaurant wasn’t open but the Asian and Italian restaurants were very nice). The reception desk was also very helpful at telling us how to get into Rhodes town which was a nice day trip. There is lots of seating and we always managed to find sunbeds at the pool or beach and the pool is lovely. We also booked a cabana by the pool for a day which we were then told was complimentary which was very nice and unexpected! The only negative for us was as it was October there was limited staff and at points there was quite a lot of queuing for drinks, food, ice cream etc. however the staff always tried to get to you as quickly as possible. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Overall this hotel was very good and we really enjoyed our stay. It was more like a 5 star hotel than a 4 star. The service on most days was good and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The photos online do not do this hotel justice, as it is much much bigger than it looks and has a lot more of a luxury feel to it. We stayed in a basic room but this did not feel any less expensive from the rest of the hotel. We did have a two minor issues with the hotel though. Firstly, the hotel allowed guests and other hotel guests to fish on the beach pier where adults and children were swimming. When we questioned the reception about this, they said that it was not their responsibility to look after the guests whilst in the sea as this was the lifeguards duty. The lifeguard was not seen the entire stay. In our opinion this was a total lack and disregard for safety by the hotel and I understand that the hotel disagreed with this, however they still have a duty of care to their guests whether it was their responsibility or not and should not have allowed this to continue. Secondly, the main pool was freezing cold and you could not go in it. We went to the beach as the sea was warmer. We would still recommend the hotel though as it was very beautiful and accommodating.
