　ホテルの第一印象は清潔さと落ち着きでした。フロントや客室、廊下などの装飾は控え目で、気配りが感じられる上品な雰囲気があります。2間仕様のデラックスツインがお勧めです。寝室とリビング？がドアで仕切られ、ドアを閉めるとTVなどの音が寝室にあまり聞こえません。疲れた人が先にベッドで横になれます。観光に便利です。広沢池とJR嵯峨嵐山駅まで徒歩15〜20分。ホテルに車を駐めて、清涼寺と化野念仏寺、祇王寺、二尊院を徒歩で観光しました。嵯峨嵐山近辺は車は渋滞で動けません。駐車場も満車です。ホテルにレンタサイクルがあります。スタッフの対応も親切です。

建物や内装の見た目はきれいにされていますが、扉や部屋のつくりを見ると古い建物のようでした。我々が宿泊したバス・トイレ付の部屋は１ルームにベッドと小さな机があるだけでした。 阪急嵐山駅からは近いです。ただ周囲に夜間21時以降オープンしているレストランはあまり無かったです。駐車場はホテル横にありますが普通のコインパーキングで割引などはありません。私は20時～朝8時頃まで停めて駐車料金1000円ほどでした。徒歩10分ほどで渡月橋に行けるので観光拠点としては便利かもしれません。 料金は金曜夜だったこともあり1泊16,000円ほどで割高に感じました。

The hotel is all about the rooms as is a tiny hotel with no restaurant or facilities. But the rooms are amazing. At 38 sq metres, these rooms are huge. The fixtures are all top quality with a Nespresso Professional machine and wonderful showers. Very close to the train station as well as the main sights of Arashiyama. They welcome you with a delightful handwritten and charming welcome note. Highly recommend.

周邊有超市、藥妝、便利店，距離嵐山嵯峨站約10分鐘腳程。三人住這複式民宿簡直爽爆，應該有的設備都有，wifi空調都很好，唯獨廚具有點油垢，但問題不大，給好評！

I stayed in a western-style double room. The hotel is in a beautiful area convenient to Arashiyama Park and the bamboo way. It’s a short walk to Arashiyama station. On check in most of the front end staff spoke English and explained the hotel with some hotel literature in English. If meals are included they are served at the in house restaurant. The front end staff will provide a ticket and reservation window for you to show up and you claim new tickets each day you are entitled to a meal. Unfortunately most of the restaurant staff did not speak any English and the menus are in Japanese so those with limited Japanese may have some difficulty. Meals are kaiseki-style and I really enjoyed dinner on both nights I stayed. Breakfast consists of a combination of Japanese served dishes and buffet. The room was a good size for Japan and includes a private shower for those who don’t wish to venture to the onsen. The public bath was standard to most public baths I’ve been to. What was strange was I couldn’t find a thermostat of any sort so my only options were warm a/c or open window. There’s a small garden in the middle of the hotel however it’s nothing special when compared to the surrounding areas which are definitely worth a stroll through. Note that they have large size yukata if the standard does not fit. I am 183cm/6 ft tall and I appreciated the staff being proactive about offering the large size. Considering the price I paid for the room and half board I had a good time. Arashiyama is definitely worth a night or 2 for visitors and I would definitely consider Ranzan for the budget-minded traveler looking for a ryokan experience in Arashiyama.

My wife’s birthday trip at the Suiran was a dream come true. With successive Covid cancellations, it took us four years of planning, but it was worth the wait. With their traditional Japanese structures and landscaping, the Suiran was our oasis of calm during Kyoto’s busiest season (cherry blossoms). We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and the best breakfasts of our lives in their dining room, and blissful riverside happy hours in their cafe. Our comfortable room had all the amenities, and a soothing minimalist aesthetic. The Suiran staff is spectacular: thoughtful, gracious, attentive. Through our years of planning and days of enjoyment, we were guided by Suiran’s chief concierge, Hiromi Maruyama. Her kindness, patience, and expertise added greatly to the success of our time in Kyoto. Her suggestions and insights, and good spirits were a beacon shining our way. We are indebted to her for her efforts on our behalf.

I've stayed there for 2 nights and everything is just amazing. The staff upgraded my room which had a sauna and bath tub. Snacks and drinks were replenished every day. The breakfast was great and the dinner was just amazing. They provided a variety of drinks (wine, sake, juice, tea, coffee, etc.) and it's all you can drink. They also provided free beers and drinks in the lobby resting area and you can watch live sports there at night. The hot spring is great as well. Highly recommend!

Pros: - Takatsuki is located between Osaka and Kyoto, 20mins from Umeda by JR. Hotel is within 5mins walk from JR station. - No Tourist attraction in this city, with some local shops and restaurant. - A big hot spring. - Staff can speak Mandarin. - With choices of room style, I chosen the Traditional Tatami one. Cons: - No car park but there is one just 2 buildings next to the hotel. Parking fee is not expensive.
