Great location within walking distance from shops and restaurants. Also a six-minute drive from the Canadian Tire Center, but three times as long during peak times pre and post events. Less than 10 minutes from Tanger Outlets. Room was spacious and clean, pillows and mattress very comfortable within living room area… microwave, safe, and small fridge. Service was good at check in. I removed one star for the old bath and old/small shower — although water temp and pressure were great. Toiletries supplied were great and appreciated. Doors to rooms not very soundproof. Two elevators worked great. Would return if close-by for an event.

Lovely stay. Enjoyed the jazz bar. Rooms are very clean. Nothing but good to say about our visit. Thank you.

Very clean new hotel with well planned and equipped suites. Ideal for an extended stay because of the kitchen and living area. Staff was extremely polite and efficient.

A good place, great if travelling with pets, would choose again. Stayed recently with our dog for 2 nights. Really overall satisfied with our stay, it is a good place, for a relatively short / 1-3 night stay its very comfortable. The room was in good condition, a bit tight (though we did have a-lot of stuff and a large dog), it had all the basic amenities and the bed was comfortable. The room was generally clean, though some spots could have been a bit more thoroughly cleaned, the washroom newer, and nice that the floors had no carpet (we were on floor 1 / pet friendly room). Solid black out drapes. No strong/bad smells, except maybe a bit smoky. All the staff were very nice, check in was easy, 24/7 free coffee and tea, free parking, lots of parking, and a cute breakfast area with indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately I did not make the continental breakfast, so I cant speak to it. If travelling with pets: the grounds are great as there are lots of open grassy areas for your four legged friends, and the pet friendly rooms have a door with direct access to outside - super handy, and also nice if u just want to leave your door open for fresh air (there is a screen door too). We did not hear noises from the hall or adjacent rooms, sound proofing seemed good, which also was preferable for our dog. The location is also good - many box stores close by, take out , and a full grocery store within a short walk. Very close to the highway exit. Overall well kept and a good experience, I would recommend and would choose again for a short stay.

We were very pleased with the staff from start to check out. Absolutely polite, inviting and helpful. Special shout out to Rachel! This hotel is very clean, spacious and located centrally to many places to visit and shop. Breakfast was plentiful and warm, excellent coffee. Access to the pool was appropriate due to Covid. And a nice pool it is. Really liked the back patio to sit , relax and even BBQ if you wanted too. Nice touch. Again kudos to the staff. Many thanks for gift as this was our anniversary. It was a great weekend!

I expected more from Glö than I received. I chose Glö as a ”treat” for a couple's getaway, as it was a newer hotel and appeared like it would be snazzier than the usual fare. Pros: The bathroom was very nice, and the complimentary toiletries are top notch. The rooms are very clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the TV was a decent size. Cons: The rooms are incredibly small, and while they are nicely furnished, the tiny ”couch” seat was more form than function (i.e. prettier than it was comfortable). The front desk staff seemed very new and clueless on basic hospitality essentials, like how to work the in-room television. It also took ages for a response from front desk on how to work the TV and the issue wasn't even resolved. I probably will not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone I know, as there are so many hotels to choose from in Kanata that offer better, more knowledgeable service and better pricing.

The Fairfield Inn was as good as you could expect for a lower-priced hotel near hockey venues. We stayed for several nights for a kid's hockey tournament. The good: Staff. While fairly short staffed (it seems that the night we checked in, there was literally one staff member who checked in, got cots, made any room changes, etc.) the staff was super pleasant and helpful. The manager even gave our group of players and parents complimentary access to a boardroom so we could have meals together and get out of our rooms a bit. So a BIG thank you to that wonderful person. Location. Easy access to ice rinks, the Senators arena, and lots of shopping and restaurant options. Not close to downtown in any way, however, so if you're there to ”see” Ottawa, this isn't the place for you. The good-enough: The rooms are fine. Large enough for our hockey family of four, but no door separating the bedroom from the rest of the room. Handy to have a fridge and microwave. Beds are comfortable enough and the rooms are generally soundproof enough. For this kind of trip, the hotel was adequate. Breakfast was fine. Lots of carbs, and it seemed like the staff were trying to throttle how much people ate by putting out refills in very small ”waves” (like, refilling the muffin basket with... 4 muffins). I would suggest making your way there early and with lots of time before departure if you know there are lots of families in the hotel, because the good stuff goes fast and isn't replenished quickly. The bad: Don't, for any reason, attempt to use a cot as an additional bed for your trip. It was basically a set of springs wrapped in a sheet (zero actual mattress padding) - no one in our group would even think about sleeping on it. We slept on the couch cushions instead (ick) and still were charged the $15 extra bed fee. The extra bedding wasn't in very good shape, also (major ick). Bring an air mattress and your own sheets if you need a bed outside of the pullout and other bed.

I loved this hotel! A little off the beaten path, but worth it due to good pricing and proximity to Tanger Outlets and the highway. I've visited twice now and will be sure to book again when needed. Pros: Rooms are a very decent size, and the hotel just opened recently as of this review, so everything is gleaming clean and new. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are lovely. Cons: The TV could be a little larger, and I'm sad that despite marketing materials to the contrary, we weren't able to connect the TV through my YouTube account as I have been able to do at other hotels, but it was a small disappointment compared to the pros. My largest concern is how quickly the right-hand elevator door closes without warning; it bashed me a good one as I was walking in , and while I can take it.and brush that off, had that been a small child they could have been seriously hurt. Please get that checked out. In summary, I will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, quiet, recently priced place to stay while visiting Kanata 😁
