Hotel 5 Bintang Terbaik di Kandy

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

無變泳池擁有一流的風景，從泳池可以看到Kandy美麗的風景，房間的風景也不錯。到了酒店以後，酒店工作人員會幫忙協助辦理入住，並提供welcome drink，酒店比較大，我入住的房間相對比較遠。房間比較大，三人間有2張拼到一起的床，和一張單人床，足夠三個人睡覺。房間比較大，有空調和風扇，房間的落地窗不錯，有一個小陽台，可以用來發獃。房間不足的地方是的確比較舊，個別毛巾有點黑，而且感覺衛生間馬桶的衛生沒有搞好!在酒店吃了自助晚餐，價格3000多盧比，種類挺多，味道也不錯! 但是自助晚餐不含酒水，飯後需要給一些小費(畢竟這麪是小費國家)。另外補充一句，這個酒店在攜程感覺比其他平台都便宜!

This is a magical place. A beautiful garden filled with flowering trees with an infinity pool at the end looking out over green fields and mountains. We were upgraded to the Queen’s Suite which was fabulous. Dinner and breakfast are eaten on the veranda overlooking the lawn and the food was great - a mix of different cultures including Sri Lankan food. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and treated us like royalty! We throughly recommend the Kings Pavilion. It’s a real oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy.

Amaya hills Kandy located within scenic mountain ranges in the heritage charm of the kingdom of Kandy.The Amaya Hills Kandy has the architecture and charm and culture of the city of Kandy ruled by the last Sinhalese king Sri Vikrama Rajasinha (1780-1832) till 1815 when the British deposed him and was succeeded by Gerrge III after holding out against colonial powers the Dutch and the Portugese The Amaya Hills reception has a Statue of the last king at the reception which is a huge open and deep balcony offering nearly 300 degrees of splendid views of the mountains The hotel is complete with swimming pool and the breakfast and dinner we had were splendid and had many authentic Sinhalese dishes.. The rooms are open to a balcony and it is a treat to have tea viewing the magnificent mountains.. The level of hospitality matches the famed Celonese hospitality and will be remembered for long and a must experience in Sri Lanka visit..

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

we came for the valentines dinner and it was great. And the service was excellent. food was good and the vibes were different. And special thanks to our server Nadeesha for taking care of us from the beginning. she was great and helped us through everything overall experience was great

The hotel is over a hundred years old, since 1844. I felt as though I went through a time portal when I stepped into the dining area. Part of the hotel’s appeal is the history of the hotel. Don’t expect a modern hotel but rather embrace the well-detailed history on display throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location Food out of this world. My wife wanted fish that wasn’t on menu so chef went into town to buy it. Now that’s service Everyone went out of their way to be helpful - especial mention to Nihal ! Would definitely return If I had any niggle it would be that sheets and towels have seen better days and could do with replacing Other than that - simply great

When considering this property, you have to take into account it’s an old Manor House built in 1804 - if you like everything bright & shiny & new, this may not be the place for you. We stayed in the Black Rajah ultra room and yes, the very old, arched louvre doors may not fit like plastic double glazed doors but it’s not, as in a previous review, below the restaurant - the restaurant is further along the corridor on the same level, and is outside. One thing I will mention about Black Raja - there is a lovely open courtyard enroute to the restaurant with comfy seating, bang opposite the room- and we could clearly hear the torrential rain in the night through the opening. Our butler, Neemal, looked after us very well, always at the front door to open the car door with an umbrella (we had rain everyday), get us drinks, take our menu order & then serve at the table - lovely man. We only had dinner one night but thoroughly enjoyed it - choice of 2 starters, 3 mains & several desserts, all well cooked & tasty. Breakfast was plentiful. One thing I would mention is that wherever your room is, there are about 10 steps down to the lower floor for the restaurant, without a handrail - I’m not great at going downstairs but found I could put a steadying hand on the side - I know Neemal would have helped had I not been comfortable. One thing I would mention, again because of the rain, we couldn’t use our outdoor space, whereas some suites on the ground floor were under cover, with sun beds, so could be utilised regardless of the weather. We would definitely recommend a stay here - it’s quiet, with beautiful grounds & pool & a good proximity to Kandy.

This Hotel offers an unique view overlooking Kandy and the mountains. It's settled in a wonderful green sourrounding on a hill. The rooms are modern and luxurious with panoramic windows. At the evening you can enjoy the view in a hot tube, just wonderful! Another Highlight is infinity swimmingpool with panoramic view. The service is perfect and the food delicious! If you visit Kandy, you should visit this place!
