Fantastic hotel! It's near to the city centre, but not noisy. When we arrived the little old lady was very keen to show us her new restaurant kitchen (of which she is very proud), so I obliged & went to have a quick look. The bedrooms are clean & spacious. I wasn't sure whether to book at Usabuy as there are some negative comments on the reviews, but there are NO bad tempered dogs in the street and the place is very clean. The bathroom looks as if it has been tiled recently. The staff were all very friendly and efficient.

Stayed here two nights. Location is very central, 15 minutes from Trang Airport and only 5 minutes to Shopping Center. Reception was friendly. We had a higher up room facing to Khao Pub Pha which make your life wonderful to wake up with these sunrise. The room was pretty spacious for a city hotel and well decorated. The bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom also good with nice toiletries. Breakfast was amazing both in quality and variety - lots of authentic Trang such as Khao Yum , Kha Nom Jeen Puk Tai as well with breads, pastries, fruits especially fried banana we love it. Highly recommended.

Very outdated resort and needs a complete upgrade. The location makes up for all their problems as it is right on a long stretch of beach and the bungalow we booked was very spacious with views over the ocean. Air-conditioner worked but sounded like a tractor, the shower head is ancient and hardly works, the wheels fell off the bed when we moved it slightly. The sewerage outlet pipe runs straight into the property which is very unhygienic.too many issues to mention. Breakfast was not worth eating either so before you book if it's only for price then that may be fine but if you are looking for a clean updated place this is not for you. On the plus side the ”customer relations” person and other staff are very kind and helpful.

PROS: - Location, amazing beaches and crystal clear waters (as others have stated) - super friendly staff - Resort is the best location on the island as it is far away from day tourists - food (lunch/dinner) is excellent and def better than at the other resorts - garden/landscape very well maintained (other resorts on the island look very “natural”) - few minutes to walk over to a beach to watch the sunset (although leaving the hotel you will see A LOT of garbage unfortunately) - not many people on the whole island which is hard to find nowadays in Thailand CONS: - bungalows (houses) pretty basic, new AC but could do with a little bit of maintenance (painting, drains…). Beds are very hard! - staff was unable to get us a boat within 5 days for a fishing trip, “agent has only one boat and cannot get”, well then get another agent or add another one. Went next door to Reef resort and booked a trip instantly - breakfast is (still) a disaster, very chaotic (seems to have been mentioned in previous reviews). Choice is limited but ok, but please just assign 1 more staff who knows what to do! dirty dishes, it takes forever until food/drinks are restocked…running out of basically everything…so you need to be patient and/or keep expectations low. - Food supply: for several days, only half of the menu was available…so better check before you sit down. but as mentioned above, food is great (Thai, western) - cocktails take forever, once again, be patient Overall, it was ok but given the hefty price (10.000 THB per night high season) you would expect more. You definitely pay for the location!

PPengguna TetamuOnly a short walk from Mookies to Farang Beach, a truly tropical paradise....The bungalows at Mookies were excellent, clean and very comfortable beds. The fridge is a very nice touch. The food was quick and fast and very tasty. Of course you have other restaurants nearby if you can possibly tire of Wan and her crews offering. Nick her husband was always ready to give some advice and have a good story to share. All in all, good prices for both bungalows and food and drink.

PPengguna TetamuWe zouden hier 5 nachten blijven, maar de eerste nacht was een van onze bungalows niet beschikbaar, dus even een nachtje elders op het resort. Ook was een kamer van mindere kwaliteit dan we geboekt hadden, maar hiervoor kregen we keurig geld terug. De huisjes waren prima, gelegen in een grote tuin die goed onderhouden werd. In de tuin kon je ook gemasseerd worden, was lekker en heel goed! Er werd geen ontbijt maar wel koffie geserveerd, dus we hadden een voorraad koekjes aangeschaft. Voor de lunch en het avondeten moet je een kwartiertje lopen door het bos en je kwam dan uit bij Fisherman's Kitchen, een uitstekend en goedkoop restaurant. In de avond gingen we nog even naar een soort bar voor niet-moslims. Je kon ook lekker koud bier meenemen naar de bungalows. Het resort ligt afgelegen en is alleen geschikt als je er een brommertje huurt bij het resort om het eiland over te gaan, dan heb je alle vrijheid. Je kunt ook een private tour boeken om het hele eiland te bezoeken of een boot reserveren voor een dugong-tour. Een wandeling door het achterland is ook een aanrader. Eigenlijk heb je hier aan 3 à 4 nachten genoeg. Het personeel is heel hulpvaardig. Door een storm was het onmogelijk om naar een volgend eiland te varen, maar er werd een fantastisch alternatief aangeboden over het vasteland: 5 verschillende vervoermiddelen sloten op de minuut aan op het volgende traject. Chapeau!
