Fine Hotel

basically, this is a no frills newly renovated hotel in an old building which is okay for the price you pay but if you have high standards or are easily allergic, you might want to give it a think

The staff is nice and welcoming. However, the check out time is too early (11:00) and they charge 200NTD if you are 10-15 minutes late. They have luggage service, but there is no room dedicated to that, but they just leave it in the main room where all guests can spend time. In general terms, I’d recommend it.

our standard double room looked nothing like the photos - it had a small inner courtyard-facing window, and the shower had no separation from the toilet. i understand units differ, but the photos look like they are from a different hotel altogether. otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable for the price and the front desk were friendly. location is convenient for transit and exploring.

I'm not sure if it is apt to describe this as a "hotel", since it is a floor inside an old building that contains multiple stays like this one. Location-wise, it is a short 3-min work from MRT, which is great, but the building itself can be quite deterring for many. There are several convenience stores in the area, plus a department store and a supermarket all within 5 mins of walk. Among other stays in the same building, this "Fine Hotel" is already the more well furbrished one. The lobby is nice and well-facilitated. There is plenty of common space with drinks vending machine, hot and cold water dispenser and free coffee & tea for guests. I booked a room of 1 queen bed plus 2 single bed. The room is spacious and clean. The design of the bathroom slightly lacks privacy, since the walls are made of translucent glass. You can vaguely see people using the toilet and getting undressed inside, which is quite inconvenient for friends. The window looks out to a small balcony facing the inside of the building that has a number of dying plants, definitely not a pleasure to open the curtains. There were very few amenities provided - towels, tissue paper, shampoo and body wash in dispenser, and a hairdryer. The towels were clean but is clearly old and reused for many years. It would be best to bring your own towels, toothbrush and hair conditioner. The stay was generally pleasant relative to the price, and it is best to arrive with full knowledge and manage your expectations.

The hotel is in good location, less than 5 minutes walk to sunduo station. The lobby provide snacks bar, hot and cool water, coffee, iron board and microwave for free. You can walk to the river bank to enjoy river view in the evening. There are many good restaurants nearby. The room is super clean. We love this place.
