Hotel berhampiran Ruins of Pořešín Castle, Kaplice

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of the old town and just under 10 mins walking distance. The check in service is top notch and reception speaks perfect English. The room was not ready until 3pm. I booked the hotel in advance through trip.com but end up paying a higher price as the hotel was at a reduced price one day before my arrival. Price match was not granted for me. The room is clean and nice but the simple request of having double bed instead of two single beds were not met even when I reserved in advance. And there is no view at all. Basic amenities and breakfast was nice.

We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Ruz. It is a very comfortable hotel with spacious, clean rooms - a good value, in Cesky Krumlov. The hotel is a restored old, former Jesuit Monastery - noise can leak through the doors and walls, but is manageable. The breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold items. The staff were pleasant and helpful with questions and directions. The location was perfect for our needs - as everything is walkable in CK. We can highly recommend this hotel in CK. Walk a couple of blocks away for a delicious open fire steak dinner at the Krčma Šatlava restaurant.

We only had 1 night in Cesky Krumlov, unfortunately, but this was the perfect place to spend that one night/day. We stayed in Room 5 , which has a private balcony overlooking the castle with 2 chairs and a table, and is on the ground floor, with no stairs to go up or down. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, (we didnt ever look at the other one!) , a den, a bathroom, and another small room with another toilet. There was a sink and microwave in the den area, sofa, chairs, and the apartment was very spacious. You have to use the key after hours to enter the building since it is not staffed 24 hours, then use the key to enter your apartment, so coordinating the arrival time is important to get your keys. The balcony was the perfect setting for our take out pizza and bottle of wine. The apartment is very close to a drop off spot for shuttles, since car traffic is restricted during the day, so our walk was minimal from the drop off. The apartment is 30 second walk to the town square, and 2 seconds to the awesome Satlavske restaurant. We cant imagine a better place to stay.

An absolutely amazing stay, thank you again! The owner is incredibly helpful and nice, nothing is a problem, the whole hotel, restaurant, garden and surroundings are beautifully cleaned. Self check-in was possible, everything was perfectly prepared and described, a map of the city was also available, interesting places and the way to get to the city were marked (approx. 10 minutes of normal walking) We had room No. 2 with direct access to the terrace with a beautiful well-kept garden, where in the summer you can use the barbecue and the swimming pool, we were almost at the end of October, so it was already cold :) The room was clean and well furnished, there is TV (we did not use it), lamps and pluger available on both sides of the bed, in a wardrobe there are more pillows and plush blankets hidden in it :), in the bathroom Is available liquid soap/shower gel and hair dryer. French window and a balcony door to the terrace where you have armchairs, a small table and an ashtray and immediately a beautiful garden :) From the room you can also see the parking in the area. Of course, towels are also available. The stay includes a rich and tasty breakfast. Coffee, tea, milk, 3 types of juice, various fruits, sweet pastries, several types of yogurt, several types of corn flakes, vegetables, several types of bread (light, whole grain...), scrambled and boiled eggs, cheeses, salami, marmalade, butter, honey... It's just that everyone can find what suits them. And last but not least, the friendly owner and the whole team :). The hotel is dog friendly (we have a large dog of 60 kg and it wasn't a problem either). We wish many satisfied guests and are already thinking about when we will return to the hotel again :).

Der große Vorteil dieses kleinen Hotels ist seine Lage: es liegt unmittelbar an der Moldau und wenige Meter vom Beginn des historischen Zentrums entfernt. Dadurch darf man dort mit dem Auto hinfahren und kann auch direkt am Hotel parken. Dies ist bei der Mehrheit der Hotels in Cesky Krumlov so nicht möglich, da die Zufahrt zum historischen Zentrum nur Anwohnern möglich ist. Dass Hotel dürfte über etwa 30 Zimmer verfügen und befindet sich direkt an einem Zugang zum Stadtpark, was für uns mit zwei Hunden sehr praktisch war. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, der Preis mit ca. 50 Euro pro Zimmer (jeweils Doppelzimmer zu Einzelnutzung) incl. Frühstück kam uns sehr günstig vor. Krumlov war zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuches ausgesprochen leer. Es ist möglich, dass die Preise bei steigenden Besucherzahlen nach der Pandemie wieder höher liegen. Das Frühstück ist wie überall unterhalb des 4 Sterne Bereichs in Tschechien sehr unspektakulär, aber ok. Etwas Käse, etwas Wurst, etwas Obst, Kaffee, Eier, Rührei, Marmelade, Butter, Margerine, Müsli, O-Saft. Hörnchen, Kuchen. Alles ok, aber nichts besonderes. Die Zimmer waren geräumig, in den Bädern gab es nur eine Badewanne ohne Vorhang/Kabine, weshalb alles unter Wasser stand. Eines der Zimmer roch auch feucht, was aber auch an den starken Regenfällen vor Kurzem gelegen haben könnte. Negativ aufgefallen ist uns: - die Zimmer und Bäder schienen nicht sehr sauber zu sein, Haare im Bad, Zahnpastaspritzer ums Waschbecken etc. - Die Leintücher waren für die Betten zu kurz und deckten nicht die ganze Matratze ab, was nicht sehr hygienisch ist. - die sehr schöne Hotelterrasse war geschlossen, vermutlich wegen der wenigen Gäste. Allerdings konnte man im Innenhof sitzen. Fazit: für den Preis ok, kein Luxus, Top-Lage

Sehr süße Pension, wir hatten ein sehr kleines und gemütliches Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und sauberem Bad. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top. Der Inhaber/Betreiber ist sehr bemüht und äußerst sympathisch. Lage perfekt aber etwas versteckt in einem kleinem Weg der zum Schloss führt. Es gibt auch kleine Snacks, Kaffee und Getränke zu einem kleinen Preis an der Rezeption.

This place was absolutely perfect. Three of us stayed for a night and couldn’t have asked for more. A nice guy checked us in and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Our room was authentic and spacious and comfortable and had a view of the castle. Breakfast was marvelous. Everything you want to see is within a five or ten minute walk at most. We generally stay at five star hotels(look at other reviews) and this place is a hidden gem.

This newly renovated hotel has beautiful common rooms. Our room for 3 nights, 111, was sandwiched between two really nice suites. Room was okay with heavy wooden furniture. Window was high up the wall so unable to open. Bathroom is ultra modern but we only had a deep bathtub with a handheld shower head. Water went everywhere as there was no curtain or screen. Bathroom floor and towel rack was heated. The suites got coffee service but our double room had none. We did ask our guide for a kettle and teabags which we did get, but housekeeping never brought more after the first night. There was a radiator near the bed, but we found the room hot. Luckily we had a portable fan to use. Breakfast area is really small with limited options. Coffee machine only made espresso or cappuccino. Location was convenient for exploring the town. If you have a choice when reserving, go for one of the suites.

Well located. One minute walk to the main square. If you are coming in to the bus station by flixbus, then you can walk to the hotel in ten minutes. Cobblestones. So if you have very heavy luggage then book a taxi. Hotel room was spacious. Hosts are very kind and helpful. Good breakfast is included. Good hot shower. Book in advance for the ”castle tour in english” if that is part of your plan. Many kitchens in the restaurants seem to close by 9 on non-peak days, so plan dinner accordingly.
