Housekeeping For the entire duration of our stay housekeeping failed to complete the task of making our bed, as the decorative pillows were carelessly left on the floor. The bins were only emptied once, on the second day, by the receptionist. The same goes for the cups - we only had clean ones after the first day when the receptionist provided fresh ones. The two cups left on the tray were not washed on the second day, and none of the four cups were properly cleaned on the third day. They had visible rings and the tea spoons were sticky. The replenishment of tea, sugar, etc., was also done solely by the receptionist. Bar The bartender appeared more focused on lounging on the sofa, facing away from potential customers, watching movies on the large screen television with the volume turned up high, rather than being positioned behind the bar ready to assist patrons. During our initial visit, we had to signal for his attention by moving a barstool. The following night, he was once again seated on the sofa engrossed in the loud television. We decided not to attempt to get his attention and simply departed. On the third evening, there was no bar staff present, so we retrieved bottled drinks from the secured fridge near the reception area. After leaving the empty bottles on a coffee table in the lounge, we proceeded upstairs to freshen up. Upon returning 1½ hours later and then again 4 hours later, the bottles remained untouched on the table. Beware: a bottle of water is €5.50! A total rip off! They refused to give me tap water. Summary To be honest, this level of service falls below my expectations for a one or two star hotel, so it is definitely not something I would anticipate from a hotel that boasts a four star rating.

I stayed for three nights. Rooms are cleaned only every 2 days, each additional cleaning costs 5€. Unfortunately the rooms are quite dirty (see photos). I reported the dirty shower to the front desk on day 1, but it still was dirty after ”cleaning” on day 3. The floor was also still dirty. You only get one little bottle of shower gel, no refills. The rooms look a bit shabby with pictures slipped halfway from the mat in their picture frame, and the dirt of course. WiFi is free but a completely unsecured network and unsurprisingly too slow to really use anyway. Front desk staff is friendly but full of excuses: It's hard to find cleaning staff, guests just take the shampoo and shower gel bottles home, everything has gotten so expensive, etc. - that shouldn't be the problem of a guest who's still paying full price for a room. The hotel is very close to the train station, which I found convenient, but the area isn't the nicest. Breakfast is decent enough. Would not stay here again.

The hotel is in the middle of Kassel (Köningsplatz) and 10 minutes walk to the Documenta fifteen centre ruruHaus , Fridericianum museum and Documenta halle. Trams and busses nearby to all places. Friendly personal. The breakfast room was large and the breakfast buffet was very well a good start for exploring Kassel with all sort of bread, serials, fruit, drinks, coffee and sprudel wasser. My room was in the new part of the hotel. It had everything one can expect and – as an elderly person – i liked to have a shower. So that I do not have to climb into a bath to take a shower. I liked it also very much that I could dim the lights in the room and bathroom. And also that I could open the doors to the French balcony to let the fresh air in. Diner tip Go to ”al fiume”, italian restaurant at the Fulda. Excellent Italian food.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Zimmer war sehr sauber, großzügig geschnitten und nicht verwohnt. Frühstück war umfangreich und lecker. Auch hier war das Personal sehr aufmerksam, es wurde umgehend, ohne Hinweis der Gäste, alles nachgefüllt. Wir kommen wieder. Danke!

Die Lage und das Angebot des Hotels ist perfekt und als zwischen Übernachtung genau richtig. Es liegt nicht unweit der Autobahn A7 direkt in der Stadt .Zu Fuß gleich im Zentrum . Dieses Hotel hat ein schönes Ambiente freundliche Farben ,die Zimmer scheinen doch etwas älter zu sein aber sind in Ordnung und sauber, nur die Kopfkissen waren nicht so gut. Das Personal an der Rezeption freundlich und Hilfsbereit und können mit Reklamationen gut umgehen. Frühstücksbuffet sehr Umfangreich und gut. Kaffee teils aus dem Automaten teils frisch aber dieser ist dann nicht ganz heiß mehr sondern eher lauwarm. Das Restaurant bietet einige Speisen an die ganz gut waren , leider ist das Personal meiner Meinung nach am Wochenende etwas überfordert und der Koch auch so das 2 Zutaten fehlten???

We were extremely surprised by how the hotel and room were comfortable . The receptionist welcomed us at 1:00 am with a big smile . The rooms were spacious , two queen beds and a cot, all what we needed as a family. The beds were comfortable and everything was immaculately clean . The bathroom again very clean . The best part was the breakfast . A wide variety of cheese , cereal and amazing pancakes. Everything in breakfast was well presented and again very clean . The waitress during the breakfast was just lovely and very reassuring since we were overwhelmed by our kids making a big mess . I give this hotel a 5 as it has all what we needed and more than we expected. As my oldest son said “ This hotel is amazing” . Parking is for a fee if 8 euros which is acceptable . Maybe during off seasons it could be for free unless it’s owned by a private company then it’s understandable. We will come again 100%

Leider war nicht bei der Buchung zu erkennen, dass die Unterkunft nicht gehbehindert ausgerichtet war. In der Remise gab es keinen Fahrstuhl , sodass wir die frühzeitig abreisen mussten. Für ältere Menschen mit Gehbehinderung ist dieses Hotel nicht geeignet. Der Speisesaal wäre auch zu eng. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Sie sagten auf Ihrer Hotelseite wird es ausdrücklich darauf hinweisen. Bitte machen sie es auch. Es ist sehr schade, dass ich meiner Mutter keinen schönen Aufenthalt geben könnte. We dont have anything negative to say about the hotel. Everything was working very well. The hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Service in the reception is good and all of the facilities are working as they should. Absolutely no issues on that part and considering the price, then it is an absolute bargain. We also visited the restaurant at the hotel and that was on the other hand a disaster. It was quite booked on the day we visited, because of some corporate event. This resulted in the waitress being a bit stressed, but it was still handled very badly. We waited half an hour to get the menu. After that we was informed that some of the courses couldnt be served, because they were out of different things, but we got an option to order one burger, which was not served on the homemade bread that normally was served, but on some cheap bun from the supermarket. Considering Covid-19 we also observed that menu's were just delivered from one occapied table to another - without any cleaning - and after we had observed that one guest had been licking their fingers between every side swap in the menu. Disgusting and in the current covid situation absolutely not acceptable. In total. 5 star for the hotel. 1 star for the restaurant. Would happily go back to visit hotel, but the restaurant visit was not acceptable.

This is the best hotel in the H Hotels chain. The rooms are very well presented and comfortable. All of the public areas are also lovely. It is a great cosy atmosphere in the winter or a lovely terrace area for a summer evenings drink. The food is fine for a chain hotel and the breakfast is well made and the staff are attentive to make eggs as you wish to have them. It is a little gem off the beaten track. Perhaps the only thing missing would be a spa area or an option for a bath in the room. Such things would make it a very romantic destination.

Us: Two adults and two small kids. Great experience and stay at an authentic castle, taking us back to the middle age. The service were good and so was the cleanliness. The design of the rooms stayed true to the style of the castle, and it was a fun experience walking to the top of rapunzels tower. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both living up to the expectations in terms of quality. During dinner, we were sitting at the terrance with a wonderful view of hills and nature. Overall atmosphere is pleasant and authentic and a place to stay for couples with or without children.
