This is a wonderful, unique, boutique hotel which suited our family's needs perfectly - it was so good (and Turkey so hot in August) that we hardly left the place for 9 days, only to go out to Kas in the evenings for dinner. Meis is just the right size - enough scale to be a proper hotel but with very good individual service. We have two teenagers (14 & 16) who enjoyed flopping on sunbeds, playing games with their parents and swimming in the sea with endless diving competition opportunities by the hotel. I should point out that at certain times the sea can get choppy and the tide can be a bit strong - absolutely nothing a stable swimmer can't cope with but it could cause nervous people some anxiety. We loved it. Lots of beds by the pool and by the rocks/sea. We spent every day down by the sea, mostly on our own down there. Even when the hotel was quite full at the weekends, there were plenty of beds. Note that the pool does not have a shallow end (at 5ft 2 I couldn't touch the bottom) but it has nice big steps in, a handrail all round and there is usually an inflatable around. The staff is amazing at Meis. A great bunch of young guys waiting on you and an excellent barman who speaks the best English - everyone at Meis is there to serve and wants you to have a good time. We went in the hotel gym most days. The food is great, again the chef really caring what people want - his pastas are very good and the BBQ meat platter is a meat feast you won't forget. Breakfast is a highlight - we were lucky that midweek we almost had the place to ourselves and we had platefuls of our favourite foods (fried aubergines, menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs with tomato), pancakes) delivered straight from the kitchen to our table. Unlimited bean to cup coffees set you up for the day. The communal areas are better than the pictures, rooms maybe a little less so. We would definitely go again, maybe when not as hot so we could explore more locally. If, like us, you appreciate the quiet, don't need lots of activities and like being away from hoards of other Brits, then Meis Hotel will be paradise for you. Kas is a great city - it's really alive at night with 100s of restaurants. We recommend Pells to eat and for cocktails, also Batin 2 (Captain Garlic) for a day boat trip.

Stunning location with great views. Pool lovely & lower deck area where you could jump/climb right into the Mediterranean and swim in the crystal clear water was fantastic. Rooms were large & very nice & we had a balcony with a partial sea view. Breakfast outside in covered area near the pool was very good. You do need a car to stay here as it is quite a ways out of town which we did not mind at all. Parking area provided but quite a challenge with a VERY steep driveway. The town of Kas has plenty of shops & great restaurants & there are many places to explore nearby if you have a car. There are an LOT of steps since the hotel is on the cliff & handrails are available in some areas so this can be a challenge. Our main & really only complaint is their CS is quite lacking. The front office & restaurant staff need a lot of help & training. The restaurant was not at all consistent with their service especially at breakfast. It did not always start on time (sometimes half an hour late which when you have a day away planned is inconvenient) and they frequently forgot to bring things and would need to be reminded. This could be easily fixed with better training. This hotel is not inexpensive so great customer service should be a given. All in all we do recommend a stay here.

This hotel is situated towards the end of the Kas peninsula and therefore offers some stunning views across the sea. Our room was small but well equipped with a modern bathroom and hairdryer and kettle with tea and coffee provided.  The air con was amazing and was absolutely silent.  We had a nice balcony with a full sea view. The hotel is very clean and surrounded by plants which are well tended. All the paving areas were kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good with good coffee.  It was served to us every morning and there was always interesting extras such as stuffed vine leaves, different pancakes and tasty local foods. The best thing about this hotel are the family who own it. They are all very friendly and helpful and even gave us a lift to our next hotel when we left. It really was one of the friendliest and most welcoming hotels we have stayed at. We very much enjoyed their humour and interesting conversation. The swimming is either in the pool which was well kept or in the sea which is accessed down a steep ladder. I would say the sea swimming is not suitable for anyone who is not a good swimmer. There are steps involved down to the sea area, though less if you are happy with just the pool and a steep walk up to the road to catch the dolmus into Kas. We ate at the hotel one night and had the sea bas which was fresh that day. It was excellent and beautifully cooked and we would definitely recommend it. The dogs at the Kudos apartments are sometimes loose, and though they can't get onto the hotel property, they can be a little scary at night. Perhaps the neighbours could be persuaded to keep them fenced in. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

The front office & restaurant staff need a lot of help & training. The restaurant was not at all consistent with their service especially at breakfast. It did not always start on time (sometimes half an hour late which when you have a day away planned is inconvenient) and they frequently forgot to bring things and would need to be reminded. This could be easily fixed with better training. This hotel is not inexpensive so great customer service should be a given. All in all we do recommend a stay here.

This hotel is situated towards the end of the Kas peninsula and therefore offers some stunning views across the sea. Our room was small but well equipped with a modern bathroom and hairdryer and kettle with tea and coffee provided.  The air con was amazing and was absolutely silent.  We had a nice balcony with a full sea view. The hotel is very clean and surrounded by plants which are well tended. All the paving areas were kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good with good coffee.  It was served to us every morning and there was always interesting extras such as stuffed vine leaves, different pancakes and tasty local foods. The best thing about this hotel are the family who own it. They are all very friendly and helpful and even gave us a lift to our next hotel when we left. It really was one of the friendliest and most welcoming hotels we have stayed at. We very much enjoyed their humour and interesting conversation. The swimming is either in the pool which was well kept or in the sea which is accessed down a steep ladder. I would say the sea swimming is not suitable for anyone who is not a good swimmer. There are steps involved down to the sea area, though less if you are happy with just the pool and a steep walk up to the road to catch the dolmus into Kas. We ate at the hotel one night and had the sea bas which was fresh that day. It was excellent and beautifully cooked and we would definitely recommend it. The dogs at the Kudos apartments are sometimes loose, and though they can't get onto the hotel property, they can be a little scary at night. Perhaps the neighbours could be persuaded to keep them fenced in. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

This is a wonderful, unique, boutique hotel which suited our family's needs perfectly - it was so good (and Turkey so hot in August) that we hardly left the place for 9 days, only to go out to Kas in the evenings for dinner. Meis is just the right size - enough scale to be a proper hotel but with very good individual service. We have two teenagers (14 & 16) who enjoyed flopping on sunbeds, playing games with their parents and swimming in the sea with endless diving competition opportunities by the hotel. I should point out that at certain times the sea can get choppy and the tide can be a bit strong - absolutely nothing a stable swimmer can't cope with but it could cause nervous people some anxiety. We loved it. Lots of beds by the pool and by the rocks/sea. We spent every day down by the sea, mostly on our own down there. Even when the hotel was quite full at the weekends, there were plenty of beds. Note that the pool does not have a shallow end (at 5ft 2 I couldn't touch the bottom) but it has nice big steps in, a handrail all round and there is usually an inflatable around. The staff is amazing at Meis. A great bunch of young guys waiting on you and an excellent barman who speaks the best English - everyone at Meis is there to serve and wants you to have a good time. We went in the hotel gym most days. The food is great, again the chef really caring what people want - his pastas are very good and the BBQ meat platter is a meat feast you won't forget. Breakfast is a highlight - we were lucky that midweek we almost had the place to ourselves and we had platefuls of our favourite foods (fried aubergines, menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs with tomato), pancakes) delivered straight from the kitchen to our table. Unlimited bean to cup coffees set you up for the day. The communal areas are better than the pictures, rooms maybe a little less so. We would definitely go again, maybe when not as hot so we could explore more locally. If, like us, you appreciate the quiet, don't need lots of activities and like being away from hoards of other Brits, then Meis Hotel will be paradise for you. Kas is a great city - it's really alive at night with 100s of restaurants. We recommend Pells to eat and for cocktails, also Batin 2 (Captain Garlic) for a day boat trip.

Stunning location with great views. Pool lovely & lower deck area where you could jump/climb right into the Mediterranean and swim in the crystal clear water was fantastic. Rooms were large & very nice & we had a balcony with a partial sea view. Breakfast outside in covered area near the pool was very good. You do need a car to stay here as it is quite a ways out of town which we did not mind at all. Parking area provided but quite a challenge with a VERY steep driveway. The town of Kas has plenty of shops & great restaurants & there are many places to explore nearby if you have a car. There are an LOT of steps since the hotel is on the cliff & handrails are available in some areas so this can be a challenge. Our main & really only complaint is their CS is quite lacking.
