This hotel, run by Chinese owners, is perfectly fine for a one-night stay. You can check in early, which is a plus. The environment is also quite good and quiet. They serve Chinese stir-fries, and the taste is decent. I would consider staying here again next time I'm in Kathmandu.

I saw recommendations for this hotel on Xiaohongshu, saying the owner speaks Chinese and is very nice, so I booked it on Ctrip. I decided to try adding the owner on WeChat. We started communicating even before departure, and he gave us great advice and promptly answered our questions. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were even more pleasantly surprised! The owner is young, handsome, thoughtful, and speaks excellent Chinese. Although the hotel isn't large, it's very cozy, clean, and tidy. The Sichuan food was especially delicious, and all the staff were very nice – from the security guard at the entrance, the driver, to the front desk ladies and gentlemen, everyone was wonderful. The best part is that the owner can arrange tours throughout Nepal. If you want to visit other cities like Chitwan or Pokhara, just reach out to him. He takes care of everything from car rentals to hotel bookings, so you don't have to worry about a thing.

The owner, Xiao Ming, is handsome and speaks excellent Chinese. Staying at this hotel feels very safe and comfortable. I especially want to commend the restaurant; their Chinese dishes are just as good as what you'd find back home. I highly recommend it to all my Chinese friends!

Our stay in Kathmandu was perfect! The room had an amazing view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, it was clean, and the overall environment was great. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and could even communicate in Chinese, which was super friendly for Chinese guests. There's a Chinese restaurant right downstairs, so we could enjoy Chinese food anytime and never miss the taste of home. The hotel breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It's very convenient for getting around and offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Nepal.

After comparing several hotels in Kathmandu, I chose Lakhey Hotel. The room was clean and well-lit, and the movable showerhead and 24-hour hot water were thoughtful touches. The Chinese and breakfast options were authentic, and the Sichuan restaurant downstairs served genuinely delicious food with amazing views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. The owner spoke fluent Chinese and provided excellent service. The environment was quiet, and for the same price point, it offered much better value for money than nearby hotels. It's also conveniently located for getting around and shopping. Highly recommended!

The hotel lobby was nice. However, we were disappointed with our room, 1105. It had air conditioning but no real cooling, yet we stayed two nights in it. We contacted the front desk, who said they would check, but they didn't tell us the results. They also didn't offer to change our room. The water heater was very hot, and even when switched to cold, it didn't immediately cool down. Although we were trekking in Nepal and had walked and climbed many stairs, the hotel elevator malfunctioned, forcing us to continue our stair-climbing training after our trek. We were staying on the third floor. Also, the Chinese food we ate at the hotel the first night caused two of my friends to have persistent diarrhea the following day.

Lakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. The hotel environment is clean, and there's an in-house restaurant downstairs where you can order food. They also offer free breakfast. The food tastes great and really suited my Chinese palate; I never got an upset stomach, so it's a safe choice. The owner and staff all speak Chinese and you can also exchange cash, which made for a great service experience. The location is excellent, just a ten-minute walk to Thamel, and it's very quiet at night, ensuring a good sleep.

I stayed here in Kathmandu after arriving for my ABC trek, and it's a really great place. The security and front desk staff are very welcoming! What's most important for someone like me, who isn't great at English, is that the front desk ladies and the owner all speak Chinese, which is super convenient. They can also help you call a taxi or answer the phone when you're heading out. The room was very clean! If I ever come back to Nepal, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. The owner can even help book flights, and they're very affordable.

Pros: 24-hour front desk service, early check-in available. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the center of Thamel. The hotel's exterior and interior decor are quite good. Cons: The hotel is located in an inconspicuous alley, so you need to pay close attention to the map to find its exact location. A security guard from the front desk met us and helped us with our luggage. The breakfast was excellent and delicious 😋. Summary: Overall, the hotel is decent, and the owner speaks Chinese.
