Best hotel in Kendal. Beautiful decor, spotless and very relaxing pool and leisure facilities, lovely staff, great breakfast.

A good hotel with good amenities for its size . The hotel is comfortable and warm . The staff are friendly and polite . A good selection at breakfast time with quality ingredients. Evening meal is of a good standard , however , it was totally spoiled for us on this occasion by the excessive noise from the party in the nearby room , with guests of the party spilling over into the restaurant area with roudy behaviour.

Fabulous relaxing stay. Large room with king size bed and ensuite. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Our only evening meal was presented nicely and tasted fabulous. A few tweaks and this would be an excellent hotel. Yes there were a few cobwebs, the decor could be done with being touched up a little, there is black around the wooden window frames and the u-bend could do with a descale but this wasnt four in a bed and everything else cancelled this out. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are a fabulous addition. Plenty of parking and although near a main road there was little road noise. Would I stay here again. A definite Yes.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Lovely warm room (end Nov.). Staff very friendly. Breakfast and evening meals superb. Good choice on afternoon menu. 20 mins walk to Kendal.

Staff were amazing. They went above and beyond! Room was spacious and clean. Best part - basically had the whole pool/ spa to myself.

Food heavily overpriced and I hate to say low quality. The sirloin steak was like a leather shoe sole! Room was large and decent.

On the bus route. Also quick taxi ride from Oxenholme train station. Very nice bus to Windermere through lively countryside.
