Premier Inn Kendal Central

Unhelpful staff, very little parking and no advice on where else to park. Rooms were nice and comfy.

After waiting for about 20 minutes to actually check in (1 person trying to deal with approx 8 people and not her fault) i booked a table for 7:15 and when i arrived at the restaurant i was told it would be approx 30-45 mins before my order would be taken as the kitchen was busy. i left and found somewhere else to eat. When going to make a cup of tea, I found both of the cups in my room were dirty and needed to be cleaned, which really put me off. I mentioned both issues to someone i assumed to be a manageress and was given an apology of sorts, but didn't seem to be that bothered.

We travelled as a large group, and booked many months in advance. The manager Chloe was helpful every step of the way, and communicated well with us about the needs of our group. (The group bookings depar**ent wasn't quite as effective). On arrival, check in was quick and straightforward - thank you Diane for your kindess and patience! The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. Also very quiet, and the beds are still the comfiest in the hotel industry. The hotel is central and within easy walking distance for everything in the town. Paid parking right outside in a brightly lit car park. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so positive.

Spotless and comfy room with good facility. Our stay was spoiled by poor service from the moment we signed in. Restaurant service was well below what we expected, the food was overcooked, very poor, and we felt that it had been kept under heat for sometime waiting for the slow service. We hope it was just Sunday staff. Very poor, would not recommend.

I stayed at the Premier Inn in Kendal whilst having a weekend break. The usual high standard of Premier Inn Service. The staff were attentive and looked after us. Can I give a particular mention to Christine on reception. She welcomed us with warmth and kindness and gave us so much information about the local area and the restaurants and pubs in the town. Thank you Christine so much. You are a credit to your role.

Pleasant stay. Rooms comfortable and clean. Greeted with a smile from the reception and they were very helpful. Housekeepers are a credit to the company. The town centre is within walking distance with plenty of shops and nice restaurants.

Lovely stay in kendal, very close to town centre and easy to walk into town (around 5 min walk to the top of town). Lovely warm friendly welcome from reception on arrival and departure. Will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed an overnight stay at this Premier Inn, situated in the centre of Kendal. Limited car parking cost £5, we also arrived early, which cost another £10 to check in before 3pm. Friendly and helpful staff, the Premier Plus room was well equipped, large screen TV, powerful walk in shower, fridge. The room was quite stuffy, and with the windows being sealed, it did make for quite an uncomfortable night. Didn't eat here, as there's so many alternatives on your doorstep.

Needed somewhere central to stay for three days so opted for Premier Inn in a Premier Plus room. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Check in was really easy. Room was clean and quiet, large and comfortable bed with lovely pillows. Good shower and toiletries provided. What we learned was not to stay at the front of the hotel near the entrance as the windows are not sound proofed so you do hear everything, including the lorries delivering and collecting stuff which was a tad annoying, but that is simple lesson learned as next time we'd ask for a room overlooking the park at the back instead. No issue with parking £5 for 24 hours and there were always spaces available (May be different over the weekend). We did not eat here, we did pop in one evening at 10pm to be told they'd already called last orders so opted for Farrers for a breakfast and coffee and The Fleece for brunch, dinner & drinks - both of which I would highly recommend.
