Hear is a copy of my email to the manager January 15, 2022 that has not been answered to date “With regards to our stay for one night on Friday, January 14, 2022. We have several concerns about your hotel. Upon check-in we saw on your doors that all patrons entering your establishment must wear masks in public areas. We immediately witnessed one couple who were returning to their room walk straight through the lobby to the elevator and up to and back from their third floor room maskless. Not one staff member asked or approached them to put on a mask. To continue on that I just went down at 830 to get a coffee and three young adults with one child exited the elevator with no masks in sight. It looked as if they had just checked in. This is the laxist hotel in the three we have stayed in on our trip. MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN PUBLIC PLACES your sign says. Secondly, we don’t understand why when occupancy rates are so low you put guests at the back of your property regardless of how the reservation is booked. We booked through Expedia (to redeem credit card points) but would gather if we booked through my IHG membership we would have received a better room facing the front of the property. At the very least a disclosure should be given that there will be train and loud horn blast noise during the night so guests can decide to change rooms then and there. A train went by at 1045 pm and again at 300 am. We may have heard it at the front but not to the same loudness as at the back. It was dreadful. Thirdly, at approximately 230am in the morning an obnoxious guest in a red pick-up truck started their vehicle and sat there for ten minutes blasting extremely loud music that woke us from our sleep. (This is the same vehicle that checked in around 600 pm and played the same loud music for all to hear while they unpacked and entered the building….)They then left and returned some 15 minutes later and the same thing….I called the front desk on both occasions to report but nobody picked up the call. Then at about 430 am the owners of the same vehicle kept unlocking and locking their vehicle with their fob for another annoying 10-15 minutes….This all occurred in YOUR parking lot. Where is your sense of responsibility you owe your guests? May I also suggest that your coffee station be made available 24/7 outside the breakfast area by the front desk. It wasn’t a COvID distancing friendly time. Too many people bunched around. For those who just want a coffee having to line up in the breakfast line and wait until the end to get coffee is wrong. This was the worst night’s sleep we have ever had in a hotel. We feel exhausted for our drive to Palm Springs and feel we wasted points on this uncomfortable experience. We await your reply. Very good hotel, spacious, spotless room and great value for money Breakfast options were basic but adequate. Staff were friendly and very helpful Located close the centre of Bakersfield, no problem parking Would definitely use this hotel again

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, anticipating our needs. We were very pleasantly surprised that the complimentary breakfast was a full, hot breakfast, instead of the typical continental breakfast. The room was clean and there were no odors. The bathroom was clean and had lots of counter space. The bed was firm, yet comfortable, very nice sheets. The pillows were nice too. The coffee in the lobby/breakfast area was excellent. There was some noise (motor or flushing noise) since our room was next to the elevator.

I am a diamond customer and booked for 4 people and find only 2 bath towels, 2 coffees, 2 paper cups, minimal amenities, and the nightstand usb not working. It was too late and the room too far from the front desk to go complain however this experience made me a very very disappointed customer.

This the second time that I booked this hotel in my way back to home. Unfortunately this time the room didn’t have fridge although it was mentioned in the booking and one of the comforters had stain on it. The staff was great and friendly as before

This is a pretty new hotel. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was helpful - I had driven over 10 hours to get there and was a bit forgetful checking in but they got me through it. The hotel is across the street from a good brewery with great food. Just what I needed to rest up for another day of travel.

1. Theresa at front desk is rude, unprofessional, has no customer service savvy, no business decorum whatsoever. Moreover, tried to charge guest $30 when guest gave a six hour advance courtesy notice call, that an hour extension is needed from the 11a.m check out time. Not only is that irrational amd a rip off, but there is no hurry for the incompetent housekeeping staff to service rooms let alone in a mainly empty motel of which they do mot properly clean nor sanitize the raggedy rooms anyway. Tried to charge guest at check out, for having to use face towels to clean the room floor from it raining outside Tuesday night 11/2/22 at check in. Yet, she/the motel provided the guest upon check in, with STAINED bath towels towels and a STAINED white blanket that Adriana (the pleasant one) took directly from their lobby closet. Photo's taken. What fee or compensation is the motel GIVING the guest for not supplying clean new linens/towels? What an insult. Stained worn torn towels should be thrown away, not recycled to new guests. Guests do not pay motels/hotels money to be provided with raggedy towels. Also, motels/hotels should never expect let alone voice threats of a charge for using towels fir WHATEVER guests need them for (cleaning or wiping surfaces, menstrual cycle cleaning, showering, bathing, spills, etc etc etc). Moreover, they offered the guest nothing nor any cleaning service after the rain. 2. There are long thinnish bugs in bathroom. 3. The smoke alarm loudly goes off snd it's voice repeats ”FIRE!” every time guests take a hot shower. They have it installed in front of the bathroom door instead of by the window of the room's. 4. The walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin; preventing guests from getting any rest and business calls done. 5. After guests request a corner room in order to avoid as much noise disturbances as possible; they egregiously put large groups of inconsiderate people right above and next to the guest despite there being several vacant rooms further down. They intentionally inflict upon the guest, therefore; sudden heart palpitations from the constant sudden noises/bangs/stomps/throws/drops/rolls/yelling 4:00am onward throughout morning day and night disrupting guests much needed sleep and thus damaging guests ability to function during the day. And they do nothing about it even when guests call the front desk, to make the noise disturbances stop. 6. Unlike other motels; this one does not supply cold filtered water in lobby, nor bottled water. They don't keep the tiny hot water dispenser replenished in lobby, for tea. 7. They dont fix room issues after last guests leave. The lights dont work, the sinks are clogged. They expect guests to go through the inconvenience and disruption and horrible experience of having to request the maintenance guy to enter rooms after guests have settled in/checked in and gotten settled, when the housekeeping staff is supposed to inform maintenance of issues after guests check o

A Fantastic Hotel in downtown Bakersfield and close to everything. Rooms are very well appointed and spotlessly clean! Service is outstanding in every way! From the Airport Transportation, Front Desk Staff, to Housekeeping the staff is very well trained and professional! When you call the front desk everyone answers with a pleasant, ”Front Desk, this is XXXX, how may I help you!” A special shout out to Eleonor Gonzales who showed amazing Kindness, Care, Hospitality and Professionalism to my colleagues and I during our flight delay! I am a Bonvoy Member and stay at HUNDREDS of Marriott Affiliated Hotels every year. I was VERY impressed with the amazing Service, Care and Hospitality of the entire staff! THANK YOU for going the extra mile in caring for your Guests!

BW TAFT Plus is truly Plus! Staff is very nice and competent. Morning brunch is very good. My dog loved the bacon! Rooms on 1st floor have very high ceilings. Good for summer season to keep things cool -- albeit my stay was winter. Beds are fantastic. Met some very nice people in the breakfast area. If you need some toiletries or snack food, the Grocery Outlet is one block away -- a big perk for me!
