This is the second year we've stayed at the Dorchester house to attend Keswick beer festival, and we've booked again for next year already. Lorraine and Simon are an amazing couple. They are very friendly and welcoming and make a great breakfast! The rooms are lovely and bright, comfortable and clean. Always an enjoyable stay

The extra level of service and care at this B and B made such a difference to two weary travellers. Voluntarily Simon carried our cases up two flights of stairs for us. Lorraine remembered names and greeted us personally each morning at breakfast. Although the room was small it was immaculate and extremely comfortable. We found parking on the street without problem and the location being so central we were able to walk everywhere.

Lorraine could not have made us more welcome. Lovely room with mountain views. We were there for my husband's birthday and he was given a card and some chocolate, which was a lovely touch. Later that day, we were all treated with some delicious homemade cake from a local bakery. The breakfasts was wonderful. I would particularly recommend the overnight oats!

Excellent location with everything I needed in the room and a very good breakfast. I plan to stay again. Lorraine and Simon are a friendly couple who make guests feel welcome, which meant a pleasant atmosphere at breakfast. Easy to check in and out, no fuss.

Dorchester House was booked, for myself along with the other members of the walking group I am connected with, for 4 nights. What a lovely place to stay. Our host Lorraine was so friendly and welcoming and everywhere was spotless. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the welcome tray in the room was much appreciated with a good variety of hot drinks to be made up. I had a different choice of breakfast each morning; the fresh fruit salad was beautifully arranged in individual lidded glass jars and the overnight oats were fabulous. Thank you Lorraine for a wonderful stay and I’m looking forward to staying again later in the year.

Please search no further….this was the most wonderful place to stay. We traveled recently with our daughter….celebrating her 21st birthday. Keswick is breathtaking. It was so lovely to walk into the Dorcester House and to be so warmly welcomed. We truly found our “home away from home”. The room was beautiful, beds were super comfortable, bathroom and shower super clean and divine! The best part was the delicious breakfast. We would absolutely stay again! Wish we could be there right now! Thank you, Lorraine and Simon!

Dorchester House is perfectly located , just a 5 minute walk from Keswick high street. My group of friends (13 in total) had exclusive use of the house for our 3 night stay. The hospitality & flexibility shown by Lorraine & Simon was truly outstanding, so much so we’ve already booked for next year !

My second visit to this beautiful B&B with my friends for a walking weekend and it was as wonderful as before. Super helpful and friendly hosts, lovely spacious room with the most comfy beds (I was asleep the moment my head hit the pillow). I’ve been looking forward to the breakfast since the last time we were here and it was fantastic. Loved the delicious cake again after our walk and thank you for going to the effort of providing a gluten free one for one of the group so he didn’t miss out on cake. A great stay again thank you and we will try not to leave it as long before we return.

We cannot recommend Dorchester House enough. This is the second time we have visited as a family. Lorraine and Simon are fabulous hosts. The breakfasts are delicious. Little touches like an Easter treat for everyone make it a real home from home. The location is perfect; you can walk to the park and central Keswick in a few minutes. We will definitely be back!
