Großes Hotel am wunderschönen Strand. Es gibt einige Strandrestaurants außen herum, was sehr praktisch für einen Mittagssnack oder Abendessen ist. Um das Hotel herum ist leider sonst gar nichts, der nächste Supermarkt ist 3 km entfernt. Die Preise im Hotel sind dementsprechend höher, wobei es einen kleinen Einkaufsmarkt für Wasser und Knabbersachen gibt. Wir hatten eine Villa gebucht. Leider war alles insgesamt sehr abgewohnt (zb Flecken an den Wänden, Staub und Sand unter Sofa, fleckiger Teppich, im Bad überall Kalk). Auch die liegen am Strand und am Pool sollten dringend ausgetauscht werden. Wir waren vor 7 Jahren schon mal im Kantary und da wurde wesentlich mehr Wert auf Freundlichkeit und Sauberkeit gelegt. Jetzt hatte man das Gefühl von Massenabfertigung… Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.

We stayed at this hotel as the last part of a two week trip, we visited Phuket first and stayed at the Kantary bay again an amazing stay. We moved on to visit Krabi which was more commercial. while traveling to Khao Lak we visited a number of places on route with are amazing Guide Mr Chotithamakit (Char) and are driver Mr Chomankit (Jean). Both our Guide and driver were amazing and provided by the tour company Cel Tours Thailand co ltd a Very big thank you to you both for making the trip so special. We arrived at Kantary beach late after a very long day and would like to give a special thanks to Poppy on the front desk. She really was a great ambassador for the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. While we relaxed I was able to take advantage of the facility's booking three 60 minute massages with an amazing lady call Kai, thank you so much, just enjoying the sound of the ocean while feeling like you are floating on a cloud amazing. A big thank you to all the staff at the resort the Thai evening was really good the dancers were very genteel and beautiful and the food was incredible.

This hotel is rated as a 5 star hotel - it is definetely NOT a 5 star hotel! Upon arrival, we were checked into our villa - had requested a beachfront villa and we were told, that costs extra and the hotel was fully booked, so this was not possible. No welcome drink - at all our other stays throughot Thailand we had received a welcome drink. This is not extremely important to me, mind you, but it would have been a nice touch. Other than that, we were not given any more information. A cart driver then brought us and our luggage to the villa and explained a little on the way there re breakfast, minimart, beach, towels etc. The villa was quite roomy but had already seen better times: quite worn out, unappealing furnishings and unfortunately also quite dirty - cupboards and sideboard were dirty and had fingerprints all over it! The bathroom looked very dated - it had a large bathtub (!), the wasbasin was installed extremely low, and you could tell that the shower had been added on later throughout the last years. Although the hotel grounds are quite large and it was fully booked, the beach was not extremely overcrowded as I had expected it to be. The beach is actually the very best part of this hotel! It is clean, white and you can enjoy endless beach walks from one side or the other! The hotel does not provide any umbrellas or service on the beach but usually you can find a place in the shade somewhere. Unfortunately, when we were there, a lot of huge jellyfish were in the water as well as stranded on the beach. Also unfortunately, hotel guests occupy sunbeds with their towels from early in the morning... The hotel has two pools, which are mostly occupied by families. We did not use either one of them. Showers and toilets are near the pool and were not looked after. The breakfast was buffet style with a nice enough variety of fruit, bread, charcuterie, eggs but surely not 5 star quality! The coffee was so awful, we could not even think about drinking it - so we asked if they also had cappuccino/espresso. They did, but you have to pay extra - the cost was 330 Bhat for 2 cappuccino's which is equal to 8,50 Euros! So yes, bloody expensive ie. european prices! For the next couple of days we just had the tea, which was ok, and had a coffee at the small beach restaurant next door. We did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner but went to the little (inexpensive) beach restaurants which were lovely! The hotel offers massage facilities at a reasonable price in little huts near the beach. This is also a clear plus! You book the massage in the restaurant where you have breakfast, but you also need to go there again shortly before your massage to get a voucher - noone had explained this to us. Also beware, that the massage is very popular and you may have to book a day in advance. The hotel is quite isolated and thus offers a shuttle to the Bang Niang market, at a fee of 200 Bhat (both ways), also here you have to get a voucher which nobody to

Just back from another incredible holiday at Kantary Beach - this was our 3rd visit & we’ll be back next year too. We were lucky to stay in a beach villa this time. Kantary Beach grounds are huge. The beach is the best I’ve ever been too. Breakfast is amazing. We had a massage every day! All the staff at the hotel remembered us! Beer & Nang you are the best!!!
