Regardless of the quality, style, environment, facilities, and services, they are all top-notch. Especially walking along the lake and swimming in the pool are pleasant enjoyment.

While the public areas and setting of the hotel are undeniably stunning, the experience falls short of the 5-star rating it claims. Our stay revealed several shortcomings that marred our experience. Firstly, our room was not serviced after our first night, despite being out all day. We returned to find the room untouched, with no turndown service – a basic expectation at a 5-star establishment. The room itself was average and required detailed cleaning; we noticed fingerprints, dirty windows, and even cobwebs in the grill restaurant. The lack of 5-star standards extended to the leisure facilities as well. The leisure center and gym were very basic, with limited equipment and small spaces that did not meet the expectations of a luxury hotel. The culmination of our disappointing experience was on our departure day. I informed the reception the night before that I had an early morning meeting and requested a breakfast to-go bag. Despite being assured it would be arranged, it was not. I then asked the porter for a simple bowl of cereal, but even this could not be managed. Consequently, I had to stop for breakfast elsewhere, causing me to be late for my meeting. In summary, the service and facilities did not reflect the 5-star rating. We have received better service at 3-star hotels. While the setting is beautiful, the lack of attention to detail and poor service make this hotel a disappointing choice for those expecting a true luxury experience. There are better options available that offer superior service and facilities without the premium price tag.

Lyrath Estate is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms are gorgeous, the food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. We try to visit annually because we love it so much! This time when we visited Lydia in Front office went above and beyond to make our night away even better. She was so nice and helpful and made sure we got an extra nice room that was available. Thanks Lydia! We will be back.

Stayed for a night with my husband and his parents. The staff were fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and professional. Dermot at the Concierge was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. The grounds are lovely. Would recommend the short walk around the estate (along the lake). It could do with small locator signs to help the guests find their way back to the manor, though. The parking facilities are good and there are a couple of electric vehicle chargers if needed. The food was good at the grill. Lunch at Tuppers bar was okay. Wouldn’t recommend going if you’re looking for quite dining. The loud pop/contemporary music filled the conservatory area and drowned our conversation. The service was friendly and attentive. Bear in mind that it is a bit isolated, so your meals and entertainment will be at the estate unless you don’t mind driving 4Km to the city. Coffee shop closes before 5 pm, and bar & restaurants by 10 pm. Overall, it is a gorgeous place to visit.

We came as a family of four and we had a brilliant time. Staff were brilliant when we had been given the wrong room at check in and made everything very easy. Food, spa, and swimming facilities were amazing. We will be back!

We visited the Lyrath Estate hotel for our 4th year anniversary. I have to say from the moment we were greeted at the front door to the moment we left was outstanding. Huge thank you to all of the staff at the Lyrath, especially the staff at the bar & grill you made our weekend away extra special. We will definitely be back! Could not recommend enough.

A beautiful busy hotel with a serene atmosphere created by an exceptional staff. Food was beautiful. Lovely walks within the grounds in nature yet only minutes away from Kilkenny city. Highly recommend a visit to The Lyrath Hotel.
