We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic for our family of 4. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable (especially the beds). We loved that we had cooking facilities available to use, however when it came to cleaning the dishes there was no dish rack to put the dishes to dry or no steel wool (or other appropriate cloth) to properly clean pots and pans. Also another important thing to note is that the 2 bedroom apartment is on the 2nd floor and is accessed up a flight of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but could be an issue for those that have trouble with stairs. The location of the apartment was fantastic. It was right across the road from the Tidal pool which our kids loved. And it was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at this accommodation again should be ever come back to Kangaroo Island

If I could give six stars I would, the moment we opened the front door we knew this was going to be the perfect base to explore Kangaroo Island. Firstly the location, right opposite the water and a five minute walk into Kingscote town centre. Secondly the unit itself, immaculately clean and well appointed with a large bathroom, two bedrooms, a functional kitchen and dining area and a nice furnished outdoor area with a clothes line as well as a washing machine. Thirdly the off street parking with a garage. Finally the great homely feel as well as two great hosts. Not only recommended but would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice location. We didn’t see any kangaroos near or around our cabin but we saw a lot of them on the island. Checking in and out was very easy. Bed was comfortable, extra blanket provided. The only issue was that every night the power would trip out as soon as we put the kettle on. We found that we had to do everything one at a time. We made toast and then put the kettle on because if we did both at the same time the power would trip off. That got quite annoying, having to work around the issue of power outages but other than that all was good.

From the time of our first communication with Kevin we were impressed with his friendly nature, and helpful travel tips and info for planning our stay. On arrival we were so delighted to find the spacious Penthouse apartment as advertised, spotlessly clean and delightfully decorated, with a lovely view over the trees and water. I really enjoyed Yvonne's photography of the island, a great feature. We were on the island for a week, so all the extras and ”little things” you'll find in the apartment were greatly appreciated. The kitchen contains everything you might need if you're eating in. It was delightful to sit and watch the endangered black cockatoos and other birdlife. Local walking tracks were so enjoyable and there was a selection of dining options in the town. We particurly enjoyed a Friday night meal at the Community Shed, with plenty of friendly locals. ”Sunrise on Falie” is a great spot to base yourself, if you can give yourself plenty of time to enjoy a moment to relax and enjoy the apartment too!

It locates at American River island, ~40min driving from ferry terminal.
The receptionist ladies who checked in for us and checked out for us were so friendly and nice. They made us very welcome.
The room was very spacious, and faced to the river. Amazing view. Although it was near the street, the room was quite during my stay. No noises heard at that time.
The bed was comforty and large. The bathroom was a bit small than what i thought. But it is okay. All facilities are included.
The room was provided with microwave/cutley... Also they provide me with complimentary a bottle of wine, biscuits, potato chips and cookies. So glad that we did not need starving until next day (as we came late and no restaurant was open on KI)
The breakfast was good, better food and coffee than other Cafe outside. The lady Yuki was very nice and friendly
We definitely will come back again and recommend to other friends of mine.

Friendly staff. Gorgeous glamping tent, really spacious and comfy bed. Nice location. Kitchen however only has microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Outdoor BBQ. Showers were cold but I only showered late in the evening so possibly could have been hot first thing in the morning.

PPengguna TetamuThis was a Ferry/hotel package deal. There was a lot of work going on around the place. Our room was pretty good, although the towels were grey in colour and very thin. Beds were comfy. Rooms are not serviced unless you slide the little sign across the door. Unfortunately for us, this meant we ended up with an almost overflowing rubbish bin by our 3rd day. Be mindful of the fact that the place is a couple of minutes drive out of town and there's no taxis on Kangaroo Island. We would have loved to have tried the Indian food, but only found out there was actually an Indian restaurant when we went to write this review on Trip Advisor! There is very little information about the area in the room and very little info offered on check in (eg that there was an Indian restaurant on site). The rooms are very dated, but it looks like there's a bit of work being done as our bathroom had been updated. There are absolutely no cooking facilities in the room, so don't expect to have a microwave or toaster. The hosts did offer for us to use the toaster in the dining room, but that was all too hard really. All in all, an OK stay, but it wasn't really worth the money we paid in our opinion.
