Hotel Kingscote dengan Tempat Letak Kereta

A lovely place to stay in Kingscote and literally across the street from the bay. The owners were wonderful and prompt with communication at all stages and offered helpful suggestions on places to visit. Villa was spacious with plenty of storage space - could definitely stay here for a week or two! It was a 2 BR unit, but we only used one of the bedrooms. Villa and decor were contemporary. Kitchen had basic necessities in terms of dishes/glasses/flatware (pretty much just four of each) - which seem to be consistent, if not generous, among apartments and apartment hotels in Australia. Many other nice touches, including a liter of milk, local coffees and teas, and assorted cereals. Plenty of dish detergent, clothes detergent and bath towels. There is a washing machine, but no dryer; a drying rack is provided. Wi-fi was excellent. Nice to have adjoining private garage.

A hotel that could be much better if it gets a hospitable and proactive host plus if it gets out of money making to a customer service model. After staying at a premium posh KI Seafront in Penneshaw , moving to a unit like room at KI Seaside Inn in Kingscote wasn’t great. The main perk is a Seaview which most hotels there provide and a clean room. It’s inconvenient for families with kids as there is no toaster or microwave in room- Safety is cited as a reason but then other hotels provide these basic facilities in the country. We reached at noon and the on site restaurant was closed..Ideally you need food anytime, you need to rush out as you can’t heat it either nor can even toast a bread unfortunately. Jaspreet is a smart aleck who handles the hotel well but it doesn’t have much staff as he is the sole person who runs it (owners live in Adelaide) and that gives him a god like complex as he is not very assertive to feedback as you may learn interacting - He is a pind ka desi boy with decent communication unlike a hotel management trainee who is well versed with customer service and rapport. So the feedback mechanism or escalation model doesn’t cut with him. Everytime you will need to ask for things in room be it milk sachets, toiletries but given on a count of 1-2-3 so one has to keep approaching the desk due to no phones in room. If brand conscious it’s fun to read the names as the fridge is Palsonic and TV is Mitsumaru- The fridge with 1 star rating makes noise while you sleep. Restaurant is overpriced as you can easily know looking at prices and we saw the smallest garlic naan ever for dinner with a higher price - it seems to be a standard size in the hotel but it’s less than half of actual garlic naan, so food definitely is cheaper to have outside. As a family with a kid, I won’t recommend this hotel as there are plenty there which serves you well and gives basic amenities to you as needed.

A very nice hotel with a combination of old and new buildings. Best location and view for hotel in Kangaroo Island. The only let down is the quality of bed and pillow.

Very nice location. We didn’t see any kangaroos near or around our cabin but we saw a lot of them on the island. Checking in and out was very easy. Bed was comfortable, extra blanket provided. The only issue was that every night the power would trip out as soon as we put the kettle on. We found that we had to do everything one at a time. We made toast and then put the kettle on because if we did both at the same time the power would trip off. That got quite annoying, having to work around the issue of power outages but other than that all was good.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic for our family of 4. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable (especially the beds). We loved that we had cooking facilities available to use, however when it came to cleaning the dishes there was no dish rack to put the dishes to dry or no steel wool (or other appropriate cloth) to properly clean pots and pans. Also another important thing to note is that the 2 bedroom apartment is on the 2nd floor and is accessed up a flight of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but could be an issue for those that have trouble with stairs. The location of the apartment was fantastic. It was right across the road from the Tidal pool which our kids loved. And it was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at this accommodation again should be ever come back to Kangaroo Island
