Hotel is amazing including the rooms, check in, staff, recognition of Hilton honours and breakfast. Unfortunately this stay was negative as we were on floor 3 below the Lexington which had a DJ/ disco until 1am. The issue was resolved and we will be making further bookings. We rang reception at 10:30 to ask when the disco/ DJ in the Lexington would end. We were told 11:45 and we said there was a constant thudding as we were on floor 3 but it would be manageable for an hour as we could still get to sleep at a reasonable time. The receptionist told us she had been up once to talk to the DJ about turning the volume down. The receptionist said she would be going up again and that these issues happen. The room was shaking and rattling due to the thudding. We rang down again at 11:55 to be told that the information we previously got was incorrect and that the DJ would be on until 1am. The person on reception asked who gave us the information but we didn’t have a name, we just knew that at 10:30 when we rang down, we got told 11:45. We asked for a room on a lower floor and we were told that this could not be authorised by the member of staff on the phone, it had to be authorised by the manager. If we had been told the correct information at 10:30 when we called reception, we would have requested a move then to a lower floor and saved the hours of not being able to sleep and the stress due to this. We received another call at 12:16 from reception saying they were going to go up and ask the music to be turned down. We did acknowledge that there are limits to what the staff can do and that it is not their fault. Our two previous stays at this hotel were amazing and even now, we can’t fault the room, check in service, acknowledgment of Hilton honours or breakfast. All of these areas are perfect and could not be improved upon. Staff are friendly and attentive and they are a credit to the hotel. But to pay for a hotel room and have noise stopping you from sleeping until 1am isn’t good enough. We spoke to manager, Andy, about our experience and he was really good and we came to a resolution that we are happy with. Due to how this was resolved, we will be making future bookings at this hotel as we travel to Hull regularly and we don’t want one negative stay to outweigh the positive ones.

Met by friendly and courteous staff at reception. Room was clean, and View was nice from the room. The shower was terrible! Luke warm at the hottest temperature and freezing when you turned the temperature any other way. We ordered food from the qr code for room service because my daughter wasn’t feeling very well, but waited over an hour and it never came. I tried to ring down for about 20 mins but no one answered the phone. I went down to reception and spoke to the lady who was very apologetic and explained that the app never works, if this is the case perhaps the hotel should remove the codes from the room and replace with a traditional room service menu instead! The lady on reception did all she could to rectify the problem and seemed to be used to this happening. Unfortunately because I had to wait so long for room service( was just meant to be a snack) I missed out on using the facilities so can’t really comment but they did look good . Breakfast was fantastic I have to say, well cooked and lots of choice, serve yourself which I enjoyed.

Stayed overnight courtesy of my daughter and son in law paying as it was my 60th birthday..Evening meal mine and husbands was fabulous and I got a happy birthday plate with 2 mini puddings on and sung to by 2 staff and then breakfast just perfect and all the staff so friendly we had executive room which was lovely and we shall certainly do it again

PPengguna TetamuThe 1 bedroomed apartment I stayed in was lovely, very clean and modern with a small well equipped kitchen including toaster, kettle, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher tea bags and coffee sachets. The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom large and attractive with a lovely walk in shower.
The hotel is in a lovely location, in the old part of Hull, the Marina is about a 10 minute walk.
Points to note,; it's a stones throw from Hull Minster and the bells are loud and ring every 15 minutes 24/7. The windows are not double glazed to prevent sound from the outside, but ear plugs are provided.
There is no reception or staff onsite, so you need to know what room you are staying in and you need a PIN to access the property and your room. Call the hotel direct to arrange this as the trio confirmation does not include room number or PIN.

SSueAIt's my first visit and I'm absolutely amazed of the food and service. The views from my room were stunning, overlooking the Marina and the staff have been really kind and helpful. I will definitely book this hotel for my next trip to Hull. Highly recommend!

Jjust AMEStaff were more than helpful, very friendly , The room was smart, clean and it HAD A BATHTUB which was amazing! Only an extra £5 to add on the gym and pool pass , which we didn't end up using but it was a bargain .

SsambQ7292TSI first went to the Kingstown Hotel last year, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, so I came back for another weekend this year from the 29th untiI the 31st March, and although this is one of the only few hotel holidays that I enjoy doing (as I'm more of a caravan holiday person), I feel like that this place is one of my second homes to me. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming back again in the future and saying hi to all the lovely staff at the Kingstown Hotel and the Wacky Warehouse. I definitely felt like a big kid at times too! lol I would also like to say a massive big thank you to the team for leaving me an Easter Egg for me in my hotel room on my second night.

JJohn L BStayed overnight after seeing a show at Hull Bonus Arena. Staff very helpful and friendly , room very clean and comfortable. Food menu had so many choices and options, super value at 2 meals for £12-49. You could spend more depending on how hungry you are.? Our breakfast option .....super value at £9 -25 The only downside is the extremely clean and comfortable room is ready refurbishment , which is due to take place later. Overall an overnight stay for £46 for two, exceptional value. Staff very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble .

Arrived early no issues with that, friendly guy talked us through check in via phone, booked direct, requested upgraded room, got keys to the room was not impressed! Very basic , Room 7 , strange smell, worksurface round sink cracked & shabby, no tea/coffee making facilities in room which I have never experienced before…(shared kitchen has all these) just not my preference like a cuppa in room without having to feel you need to get dressed & go downstairs (personal choice) called number enquiring if my room was an upgraded one, no it wasn’t they made a mistake, quickly rectified, changed room Room 10, have to say compared to 1st one this was progressively better. Parking , plentiful if you don’t have inconsiderate drivers parking across ways in front of hotel making access to rear carpark not accessible! , when we arrived back at 11pm we had to park on road round the corner (not hotels fault) Would we return , No, ok for what we needed it for attending function Hessle Town Hall.

PPengguna TetamuUnsure where to even start, terrible room all round. I can honestly say I've stayed in cleaner, more comfortable hostels. The bed was an old basic divan and the mattress was no better than a 4 inch thick sofa cushion. Think Argos budget line. The room was very cold and the radiator didn't work but they had kindly supplied a filthy plug in oil heater which wasn't much use due to the size of the room and the only plug sockets being at the opposite end to the bed. Ended up moving the bed to the other end of the room to be near the heater. There was also a dirty fan for the warmer months to make up for the lack of air conditioning. The power switched off at some point in the night and had to be restarted with the room key card so the room was cold again on waking. Bathroom fittings were dated and rusty with rust stains down the walls in places and the bathwater was lukewarm on the highest temperature setting. Quickest bath of my life as the cold room made the tepid water cold in the time it took to wash my hair. The light above the bathroom mirror was cracked and repaired with sellotape. Not much of a problem but the TV was tiny and touching the ceiling so very uncomfortable to watch. Dirty skirting boards and splashes up the walls in places, dust bunnies under the bed, hairy taps,one hanger in the wardrobe, paint on the curtains and to top it all off no spoon to stir the tea and coffee with. The room in general was shabby and tired and doesn't look to have been updated in many years. The only saving graces were the proximity to the station, free WiFi and clean sheets.
