I think the hotel was previously a Kempinski, some of the towels and robes had the logo. The location next to the river is nice, if you can get a room facing that side. The pool, jacuzzi and gym facilities are good. There are 3 ATMs in the lobby, giving out USD and a Vodacom and clothes store.

During my recent stay at the Hotel Royale from 20-30 Jan 2022, I was quite pleased with the food and beverage services under the new management team. I have stayed three times at the hotel before, but the services during my recent stay were a notch up and personalized with attention to detail. The dinning area was cleaner and well organized. The two gentlemen Messrs Whaley and John would ensure that customers catering needs were fulfilled with satisfaction and, in a professional manner. I can now call Hotel Royale home away from home and I would definitely call in again while on transit.

Me and 26 crew members we are living in Kinplaza since November 2023 , we are really impressed from the Hotel , rooms are extremely clean , service excellent . No even one crew member complains about anything . As you know Airlines looking for top hotels only and this is the right place to stay for couple of months . During my recent stay at the Hotel Royale from 20-30 Jan 2022, I was quite pleased with the food and beverage services under the new management team. I have stayed three times at the hotel before, but the services during my recent stay were a notch up and personalized with attention to detail. The dinning area was cleaner and well organized. The two gentlemen Messrs Whaley and John would ensure that customers catering needs were fulfilled with satisfaction and, in a professional manner. I can now call Hotel Royale home away from home and I would definitely call in again while on transit.
