Good value, staff is helpful, there’s a small area to walk up (10 mins) to see some really tall cedar trees. There are 5-6 types of onsen (iron, salt, sulphur) onsen with outdoor onsen to try. There are men and women mixed onsen where at certain period of time, only women is allowed in that area. Food is served individually on the table (not buffet) with local delicacies. As I need to take a bus the next day, they will stop you off at the bus station which is about 10 mins walk from the hotel

Agoda には空港送迎が提供されていると記載されており、ここ TripAdvisor にもそのように記載されています。この情報が間違っていることを確認するためにホテルに電話する必要がありました。車を運転する人にとっては重要ではないかもしれませんが、特に複数のホテルの中から選ぶ場合には、プランに違いが生じる可能性があります。それは非常に誤解を招きます。間違った情報についてホテルにメールしましたが、役に立ちませんでした。 Agoda states that they offer airport transfers, and so does here on TripAdvisor. I had to call the hotel to confirm that this information was incorrect. For those who drive, it may not matter, but it can make a difference in your plans, especially if you have multiple hotels to choose from. It is very misleading. I emailed the hotel about the incorrect information but to no avail.

The hotel is very well equipped with mineral baths in each room on the balcony (has to be outside as the water smells quite sulpherous) . The Onsen was one of the best I have experienced in Japan with lots of pools, water features and a generally really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant serves amazing food - both western and Japanese, with 6 course meals each night of an extremely high quality and well worth the half-board costs. There free parking and it’s a short drive to the volcanos if you want to go walking or admire the views

Proche de l’aéroport de Kagoshima, après être descendu dans la vallée. Dès l’arrivée, le personnel est très aimable mais la chambre est grande comme un mouchoir de poche ; mieux vaut ne pas avoir de malles pour voyager. Dîner et petit-déjeuner satisfaisants. En revanche, nous avons eu du mal à comprendre le fonctionnement de la climatisation qui fournissait ou une température ambiante très froide, ou très chaude au petit matin. L’ Onsen privé attenant à la chambre est formidable et suffisamment grand pour deux, et j’en ai bien profité. Parking gratuit disponible sur place.

「きりしま悠久の宿 一心」は鹿児島市中心部から車で約1時間、そして鹿児島空港からは約30分の場所にあります。 お部屋は8室だけで、私達はその中で標準的なお部屋に宿泊しました。室内に内風呂と露天風呂があり、特に露天風呂は気持ちよかったです。 ただ露天風呂から見える景色が室内の庭だけなので、せめて旅館の広い池などが見えればもっと良かったのにと思いました。 最大の楽しみの一つである夕食は充実していました。９つのコースメニューには、殆ど鹿児島産の食材が使われていました。鹿児島産食材は、野菜、魚、お肉のどれをとっても美味しかったです。 特に刺身盛合せの大トロやカンパチ、それから黒毛和牛のしゃぶしゃぶは美味しくて印象深かったです。 ちなみに飲み物は日本酒「黒龍 純米大吟醸 in 福井県」を3合頂きました。鹿児島のお酒は基本的に芋か黒糖の焼酎がメインなので、料理に焼酎を合わせない方は3種類ほどの日本酒か数種類のワインの中から選ぶ必要があります。 サービスを担当して頂いたのは若い女性でした。ベテラン女将のような話し方や振る舞いは出来なかったですが、とても一生懸命なのが伝わって来て、初々しさが却って良かったです。 鹿児島産食材のお料理の数々、大変美味しかったです。ご馳走様でした。

Tired, crowded with grubby carpets but a great buffet and sweet staff. Some renovation has clearly taken place in this building, for example the 3rd floor dining room and the lobby. But our bedroom bathroom was not clean and the fittings were clearly very old. I do understand that the acidity from the volcanic emissions attacks metal fittings but that doesn't explain the dirt in the corners and margins of carpets, the stains on the ceilings and the dirty coverings on fans and speakers so easily replaced. The staff however were absolutely lovely, especially on reception. The hotel was extremely busy with happy multigenerational families enjoying the onsen. The breakfast and dinner buffet was first class. A fabulous variety of fresh produce served in Japanese style with some Western choices too. Generous and it kept coming throughout both sittings. We tried a private bath, old, slimy and lagged in deposits. The public onsen was better. We took a bus up the hill to the Ebino Plateau and walked among the volcanoes, and enjoyed coffee and the fabulous eco-museum. It was all gorgeous, although the path from Mount Karakunidake to Omari pond is very steep.
