Hotel Kirishima dengan Kolam Renang

Hotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan. Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise! Love the private outdoor bath on the balcony! The food was good. We had both Western and Japanese dinners, but I'd go for the Japanese set if we only had one day. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking was easy. The room looked a little aged, but it was clean and well maintained.

Arriving there was no mean feat (without car-navigation system forget it!), but the isolation of the hotel is one its asset. The view from the bedrooms is simply breathtaking: in the middle of a thick forest, on a hill, you can see the sea and even the Sakurajima volcano, some 50kms away… The hotel itself was probably of the luxury type…..40 years ago, with large entrance hall, restaurants, bar, and 2 empty swimming pools! The well-preserved 70s design and “swiss-style” building add to the uniqueness and charm of the place. The room was large (tatamis bedroom big enough for three, a separate seating/coffee table area, a wooden bathtube…) and well equipped.With a copious breakfast (sandwich/hot drinks) included, this was a very good value for money. But the best feature lays in its superb rotenburo, overlooking the forest! Because there is not much to do (appart from bathing, sleeping, eating and enjoying a great view) the Kirishima Sanjo hotel is a great –and cheap- place to rest and get away from the city.

スタッフが親切に対応してくれました。 郊外型のゲストハウスではありますが、オシャレで清潔感があります。 レストランが併設されていて、イベントで使用されるゲストも多いようでした。
