Location was good a bit of a walk from the JR station … close to the market and castle , most places you want to visit is walkable.

Hit or miss experience I guess, as it's a shared sleeping space, unfortunately for me it was a miss due to the other disruptive tenants in my room. An okay place if you just need a place to rest for the night. Toilets were clean. You can leave your luggage with them but it's essentially tagged and left by the corridor beside the receptionist area.

The location is truly superb, and the amenities are perfectly adequate. The staff were also incredibly friendly.

The place was exceptionally clean, and the room was a generous size. Each bed was equipped with curtains, offering excellent privacy. The facilities were user-friendly, impeccably maintained, and had everything one could possibly need. Despite being a mixed-gender dormitory, my stay was surprisingly peaceful.

Honestly, I wouldn't really recommend it. It's not that the service was bad, but the facilities were genuinely awful. I almost thought I was in Vietnam, not Japan.

Overall, it's a pretty decent hostel. You don't need to bring your own towels, as they are provided. It's generally pleasant, but there was a noticeable smell. There's also a small kitchenette where you can heat up food bought from a store.

A good budget hotel. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were all great. I'd definitely return.

good hostel for a solo traveler

Many things were better than I thought The location and surroundings were also good.

On the second day, we checked into Hostel & Dining TangaTable 🧳. The room type was a standard bunk bed 🛌

A great hostel with a kitchen and lounge area, perfect for solo travelers. Excellent location, within walking distance of the station and attractions. The female rooms have combination locks for security.

The location is good because it's close, and there's an izakaya in the basement, so it's easy to visit and come back to the accommodation. However, the bunk beds are much higher than expected.

It wasn't bad. I was traveling alone, so I just needed to sleep, and it wasn't bad. It was just a short walk to downtown, so the distance wasn't too bad. Next time I stay, I think I'll get the women-only room. It was a little awkward because all the other guests were men.

Long ago, I visited several famous restaurants in "Ogura-mae." My number one sushi restaurant in Japan is five times more expensive than it was 15 years ago, and it's extremely difficult to make a reservation. My senior introduced me to several reasonably priced "izakaya" (Japanese pubs), so I went bar-hopping. It's great that there are bars concentrated in one place and the hotel is nearby. It has a youth hostel-like atmosphere, so it's a bit out of place for an older guy.
