"The owner was incredibly friendly and hospitable as soon as I entered his premises. He went above and beyond and treated me like family. I had a migraine attack on the first day and it disrupted my plans. He took me to the local pharmacy in his car and looked after me. He’s very helpful and was attentive to my needs. The Great Wall is only 5 minutes away in the car and he arranges the taxi driver to take you and it’s a cheap price. The room was very good. I booked the two bed room as I like when the shower floor is separate to the toilet floor and has its own door too. Definitely book the place if you want to visit this section of the wall. There were very few people on the wall the two times I went in the morning and afternoon. He has a restaurant place in the main building with some food options. You’ll have a great time!"

"We stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters."

"I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm. But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable. The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station. They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”"
