"The location is excellent and very convenient. There are numerous public transport lines within a few minutes' walk. After landing in Osaka, you can take a direct bus that drops you off near the hotel, and it's just a short walk from there – I found this much more convenient than taking the JR line. The bus to the airport also departs from the same spot. Additionally, the hotel has smoking rooms on several floors, which was very helpful for guests. Just a few steps downstairs from the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven and a FamilyMart convenience store. In the evenings, we could pick up some onigiri and sandwiches, keep them in the hotel fridge, and then easily heat them up in the hotel lobby microwave for breakfast the next morning. Overall, everything was great, with just one minor point: given that about 80-90% of the guests in the entire hotel are Chinese, couldn't the front desk staff include at least two Chinese-speaking employees?"

"The room was spacious and very clean. Drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary, and they also provided four free bottles of water. It's a great option for families with children. A crucial heads-up: this hotel has a strict maximum occupancy policy. For instance, a triple room can only accommodate three people. It seems children over 8 years old are charged an extra bed fee. It's advisable to call and confirm the details beforehand. My friend's 12-year-old child was either charged extra or had to book an additional room."

"Excellent value if you want a hotel at Namba. Metro and hankyu station are at short walking distance. Just beware if you have a lot of luggages, because you need to walk along the footpath at the roadside. A lot of interesting eating places at the alley. The hotel is clean and new. It was old takashimaya building, so the lobby's deco is parallel with the theme of fashion and departmental store. There's a takashimaya archives located at the same building. A must go place ."

"We travelled as a family of 4 (with 2 young children ages 4 and 2). Pros: location is fantastic. Hotel entrance is beside Hoshino coffee. Short 5min walk to namba station station. Very accessible to attractions around. We visited the aquarium and went on a day trip to Kobe. Free lounge access for light refreshments. Our stay includes breakfast - the selection was amazing. Donki is just round the corner. Self storage of luggage is available while waiting for check in time. Cons: check in counter staff who served us wasn't too friendly. There was a compulsory osaka accommodation tax which we had to pay. When I asked further, the female staff appeared to show some attitude and replied ”did you not read this” while showing a piece of paper with details on this tax. I'd like to think it was a case of language barrier. Room is smaller and pricier than other osaka hotels we've stayed at."

"Room is ok for two people and one big suitcase. Room is clean too, and they provide daily housekeeping service which is rare in Japan. The location is also prime, right in shinsaibashi area, metro is right in front of the hotel. There’s also an underground shopping street Namba Walk in front of the hotel. Combini is also nearby the hotel."

"While the room was a bit small, having a washing machine was a huge plus, especially for families like ours needing to do laundry. The location was a bit inconvenient; it's about 100-200 meters from the nearest subway station, and since it's not on a major line, getting to Dotonbori required quite a bit of walking. On the bright side, the hotel is new, and the breakfast was decent and quite varied."

"The hotel boasts a superb location, directly opposite the Tenmabashi subway station exit. The self-check-in machines at the front desk offer Chinese language support, and staff are readily available to assist. Moreover, the subway station is conveniently located right beneath a shopping mall, making it incredibly easy to find dining and shopping options. The area itself is more residential, so you'll encounter mostly locals, ensuring a more relaxed atmosphere free from overwhelming tourist crowds. Osaka Castle Park is just a ten-minute walk away, and you can even catch a glimpse of the Tenshukaku (main tower) from the hotel."

"Hotel Sunplaza is my favorite budget-friendly hotel in Osaka! For travelers on a tight budget who want to explore Osaka, this is an ideal choice and highly recommended! Located right next to JR Shin-Imamiya Station, with the subway entrance just steps away, the transportation is incredibly convenient. Nearby Family Mart and Lawson stores make it easy to buy food, drinks, and daily necessities.The hotel’s facilities are impressive: the lobby offers free coffee, tea, and drinking water, along with a microwave and paid washing machines, which are very thoughtful. The public bath features floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Osaka’s cityscape while you soak! However, people in the opposite building might see you, which could be thrilling for some, but shy guests can opt for private shower rooms on the corridor. The rooms are small, with just a bed, a mini-fridge, and a small TV, but they’re clean, comfortable, and offer more privacy than capsule hotels.If the hotel could add a currency exchange machine in the future, it would be even more convenient for international travelers—practically perfect! Overall, Hotel Sunplaza is affordable, well-located, and practical, making it an excellent choice for exploring Osaka! Note that daily room service isn’t provided, regardless of whether you stay for 2 days, 3 days, or a week—cleaning is only done after checkout."

"I definitely recommend this room! 💯/10 Everything is very convenient and comfortable, but keep in mind that this is NOT a REGULAR HOTEL!! And you will check into the room yourself (self check in), so if you are not in a hurry or do not want to deal with this - find a hotel, but if this is familiar to you / you have used this method of check-in and check-out - you can safely book! We were there a couple of days ago (06/12/2025-06/19/2025). But it is most suitable for those who know how and want to cook (for example, I do not really like Japanese food and chose food to my taste and prepared it in the room for myself). If you like and often go to restaurants, I do not see much point in taking this room, except for all the other nice features of this room. Firstly - the room is great, very convenient (there is a place for suitcases and where to open them). Secondly - the kitchen!! It is very comfortable and everything you need is already provided (basic utensils (forks, spoons, chopsticks) and plates, knife, etc.). Thirdly - the bathroom!! it is huge!! there is also a washing machine (which is very convenient if you are here for a few days), a shower and a large deep bathtub, also the rooms are different and large, very convenient when you are not alone and there is space to turn around. Fourthly - there is a microwave, a large refrigerator and a freezer!!! it is super! But one of the best things is the TV!!! only upon arrival in Tokyo did I understand what a modern TV is here, you can connect your Netflix and YouTube (which is very convenient!), and not watch Japanese commercials and their shows that you will not understand (but if you want you can always watch it). Also the view is quite nice, we got the second floor so we couldn't see much, but we stayed in the hotel mainly for sleeping so it's not a big deal!! 💓"

"The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. After exiting Nankai Electric Railway station, you'll reach a square. Turn right and follow the shopping street bordering the square; you'll know you've arrived when you spot a Lawson convenience store on your left. Check-in is on the second floor; coming from the shopping street puts you directly onto that level. The room was genuinely tiny, so much so that there was absolutely no space to put clothes in the bathroom – none whatsoever! The toilet was separate, but it still lacked any storage, and the sink was actually located within the main room. So, while it *can* work for families, I booked a triple room, and with three beds, there was barely enough space to open our suitcases. You really have to get creative with your luggage arrangements!"
