Watercolours

We saw this boutique hotel on a YouTube travel video and fell in love. But when we arrived it was even more amazing, beautiful and unique than what we could have ever expected! The room is spacious, very clean, white clean bedding, with a big mini fridge, a/c and fan. And a small kitchenette with microwave and 2 top stove. We stayed in no 9… corner of the hotel on the water. And since the hotel wasn’t busy the little communal seating area felt like our own little lounge! (Just be aware, with being this close to the water you hear the few boats going past between hotels and restaurants.) The owner and staff are all amazing and very helpful. The hotel rents out motorbikes (200baht a day) and free use of their canoes and SUP boards! So you can row to the beach for breathtaking sunsets! Their restaurant serves a variety of food and our dishes were very tasty. Else you can eat at one of the many restaurants across the lagoon, or take a beautiful 1km stroll to the main road. Within walking distance you’ll find local food stalls, 7-eleven, Crust (best croissants and coffee) and more restaurants. And the best part… when we returned after exploring the island, all hot and exhausted, we really enjoyed the cool pool! It’s not big but it is perfect to cool off!

Watercolours is such a cute little place to stay which is right on the river and a short walk to the beach. Free Kayaks, canoes and SUP's are supplied and what a cool paddle it was. Eric the owner is great with awesome knowledgable advice about the area and Koh Chang. All the local staff were great especially Wan who was a little cheeky and told me that she is a Spicy Thai lady with a sharp tongue. I was a little sick one of the days and she came to deliver some food and gave me a massive hug, I really appreciated her care. We will be back here 100%

This hotel had good review ***********, but I just found the place mediocre. My biggest complaint is that the hotel says it has a pool but the pool is postage stamp sized. This is an amenity that falsifies the true value of the property. The rooms are large and comfortable and the location is OK. Not sure I would stay here again.

My friends and I stayed at watercolours for 2 nights and it just was not enough! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with big and bright rooms. I say for many hours in the hammock outside our room reading. The owner Eric, is an absolute gentleman. So kind and helpful. Nothing was an issue for him. Guest are allowed free use of the paddles boards , kayaks, bicycles and yoga mats. We paddled down to the mangrove forest from the decking and explored the river. It was so relaxing. The sunset was magical. The sky lit up with pinks, purples, oranges and blues. The name is very suiting. I will mot definitely be recommending watercolours to anyone visiting koh Chang! Thank you Eric and all of the staff for a wonderful few days.

Eric and his team provided us with the most amazing stay in Thailand. They have every aspect of hospitality nailed and felt very welcome from the minute we walked into the resort. They offer free use of water sports on the river as well as bicycles to take into the nearby town. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The location is second to none, our room was situated off a boardwalk running along mangrove trees on the river. The patio came with a hammock which was lovely to relax in and listen the sounds of the birds. We had dinner one of the nights and it was delicious, literally nothing to fault, I wish I could have stayed longer. A must stay in Koh Chang!

We came across this place which isn’t well signed posted and it was very delightful. Once you get past the entrance which could do with debris clearing the place itself is clean and modern and decorated in a grecian style. The place is on the water front and is an ideal place for you to relax with a book for a drink and or lunch. The service is good. The place is very well kept. If I had stayed longer I would have visited again to try out their food menu but I only stayed for a drink and a read by the river. They have places to rent to stay which would be ideal if you were looking for somewhere to stay that was affordable. You can also get Kayaks from them. I am unsure if these are free or you need to pay but they are again well kept and stylish.

Tolle Lage direkt am Fluss, sehr aufmerksames und überaus freundliches Personal, kostenlose Benutzung von Fahrrädern, Kanus, Kajak und SUP-Boards, super Betreuung durch den Besitzer, Zimmer sehr sauber, Preis-Leistung ist hervorragend. Absolute Empfehlung!!!!

Ein traumhafter Ort um mal richtig abzuschalten. Das kleine Boutique Hotel liegt an einem Klong mit Zugang zum Meer. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit sich ein Kanu oder ein Stand Up Board zu nehmen und damit die Gegend zu erkunden. Eric der Besitzer und sein Team sind tolle Gastgeber und gestallten einem einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer sind groß und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns hier super wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder.

Tout est parfait de a à z... Superbe emplacement Endroit totalement dépaysant De très jolies plages, lieu très calme, très reposant Chambres magnifiques On y mange en plus très bien... Le fameux oatmeal à la banane d'eric, un must ! Les propriétaires sont des anges Tout cela à des prix excessivement corrects pour le niveau de prestation Le seul inconvénient c'est qu'un jour on doit partir...
