This place is heaven on earth! The welcome at reception sets the tone for the rest of your stay! We arrived with back packs from Pattaya and We were treated like VIPs. Absolute top class! Staff are amazing! Food was amazing. The rooms are outstanding and the local town is warm and friendly! The random visits from monkeys is an amazing addition! But be aware, they actually do creep up on you and open your room doors!! Staff aren’t joking! We’ve stayed on many islands and many places in Thailand but our expectations were exceeded here. The grounds are well kept, the surroundings are superb! My only disappointment was that the tides were high so we didn’t have any beach during our stay! (No fault of Sylvan!) I just hope the cost doesn’t get too high that they price us out of spending another break there next year!

The hotel has its own beach. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. There was a wide variety of food for breakfast. My room was spacious.
However, so many ants were in my room. Water was not hot enough and water pressure was low in the shower. The bathroom had big glass window but the curtain could not be fully closed so that my friend could see me having a bath. TV had no signal so that I needed to ask the hotel to fix it.

First time book this hotel but many time visited koh chang. Hotel location is not really good in term of beach area. It is in between the exit point of a small cannel so whenever i want to get to the sea, i need to walk to the near by hotel to enter the cleaner water. Staff and service are excellent. Breakfast quality is pretty decent compare to other hotels that im visiting.

We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

The swimming pool was great, however the Waterslide was not working.
The Jacuzzi in the room is not good as the water jet does not really hit on the body.
Breakfast was very good.
Location wise it is walking distance to most restaurants and shops.

Très bon emplacement, juste face à la mer avec le bruit des vagues et le chant des mouettes! Et surtout à 4min en voiture du ferry pour Ko Chang donc super pratique! Les chambres sont très rudimentaires mais il y a tout ce qu’il faut et pour une nuit d’étape c’est parfait! Le petit déjeuner est servi vers 8h (du riz, du poulet frit et un œuf frit).

We have a great time staying at Mira Montra Koh Mak.
Front desk is very kind and helpful. Room is clean, bed is super comfortable. Free to borrow kayak, sup board and snorkeling equipments. Thanks to N’ Chai for recommending snorkeling spot at Koh Phi, that we can go there by kayaking. At Koh Phi diving spot is full of sea anemone, pink anemone fish and pack of various kind of fish. But not recommend when strong wind, high wave and strong currents quite risk.
Hope to have spend more days here again.

Da wir leider durch Songkran Feierlichkeiten auf dem Weg nach Trat immer wieder in den Stau geraten sind, haben wir leider nicht mehr das letzte Speedboot nach Koh Chang bekommen. Dafür waren wir jetzt gezwungen, eine Nacht hier zu übernachten. Ca. 13€/Nacht inkl. Frühstück für zwei Personen sieht doch ganz passabel aus für eine Nacht. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, es gab zwei Flaschen Wasser kostenlos dazu und der Kühlschrank und die Klimaanlage funktionierten reibungslos. Nicht weit vom Hotel entfernt, gibt es einen großen Supermarkt, um sich mit einigen Dingen versorgen zu können oder was in den ansässigen Restaurants zu essen Das Frühstück war für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Mehr darf man aber auch nicht für das Geld erwarten oder verlangen aber für eine kleine Stärkung am Morgen vor der Abreise reicht es definitiv aus. Wer also wie wir nicht mehr das letzte Boot oder die Fähre Koh Chang bekommt. der kann hier definitiv eine Nacht ohne Probleme übernachten übernachten. Ich kann das Hotel dafür nur empfehlen.

The beach front pool villa was perfect, looking straight out over the sea.
Two huge double beds which were really comfortable.
Cold, quiet air conditioning.
Large bathroom with outside shower. (inc shampoo, body wash etc)
TV with Netflix if you’re feeling lazy.
And a coffee machine.
Outside pool was an added bonus to cool off.
Zanzibar, the resort cocktail bar make really great cocktails with happy hour (50% off) between 5 to 7
Breakfast was good and had variety. Eggs station, toast, bacon and pastries. They also have rice dishes, vegetables and pasta.
The resort restaurant was disappointing with prices well over 300 baht for Thai dishes. The quality did not reflect the price at all.
Be aware if you book a transfer through the resort to Koh Chang, it’s pricey & stops at multiple piers before heading to Koh Chang.

PPengguna TetamuNice and quiet We had been this place and we decide to come back because of it really nice hotel ,the thing we like is staff very nice and friendly, room are big and clean , quite pool area, beautiful garden. A bit far from restaurant and shop but you take motorbike to go around the island just contact at reception, also our activities like snorkeling, elephant trip .

PPengguna Tetamu3 ème séjour au kacha resort,1 année passé et 2 cette année ,l hotel est tres bien juste superbe aussi bien au niveau chambre, top et très bien équipé, restaurant très très bien ,le staff est très pro et au petit soin et adorable avec les enfants,les 2 piscine sont superbe avec une préférence pour celle du bord de mer,petite déjeuner au buffet génial en pouvant le prendre face à la mer, je remercie toute les personne travaillant au kacha pour leur professionnalisme et leur gentillesse ,

PPengguna TetamuThis time-beaten resort is overpriced. It is no on Kaie Bae beach, it is relatively close to it. The hotel's beach itself is poor. It is very narrow, with sharp rocks from the very first steps in the water and quite shallow on low tide. You have to go in quite a bit to start swimming without hitting some submerged rock with your hands and feet. Bring water shoes for swimming. The facilities are rundown. A single restaurant serves a good breakfast (included) and mediocre dinners (for extra $$). Two pools are boring. The property should spend some money on redecoration and a general cleanup. The ”adults-only” reservoir is filled with dirty water, of course no one hangs around that place. The villas are OK, but their walls do not hold any sound inside. If you are a couple, you have to rely on people not being too inquisitive and passing by your hut quickly enough. It is instructive that, once you book this property, your money is seized. You cannot cancel and get a refund. The only option is to change the dates and pay the difference, if any. All trips are to be paid in cash, as the property management apparently have no idea how the modern credit system works. When I needed to pay something with the credit card, they insisted I should sign a blank form authorization for my cc use (with my passport number and all the personal data) - and no sum to be charged was included anywhere on the form! It's like signing a blank cheque, surely enough, I had to refuse. As other reviewers note, the overall quality is OK, quite passable, yet the idea that you could get a substantially better accommodation on a better beach for the same price or less is discouraging. Those who consider GajaPuri should consider 5-star resorts on the island and compare prices. You might be surprised.

PPengguna TetamuWe have spent 6 nights in Santhiya Tree Koh Chang, even though it's rainy season, we still LOVE it there!
Design: we stay at the Pool Suite Water View, almost whole building made by carved wood, traditional Thai design and lots of character, looks very beautiful & classic.
Staffs: very friendly and excellent service
Pools: 60m long pool at the breakfast restaurant with some seats facing the pool & peaceful mountain view. Another pool right in front of the beach & close to the villas. Both pools clean & big. Santhiya Tree use pa kao ma thai sarong as beach towel, love it!
Food: delicious buffet breakfast & lots of variety. Food & drinks at the Chantara Restaurant is high quality & very yummy. The duo who sings at the restaurant are brilliant singers, you won't get bored with their performance.
Room: spacious & clean, lots of electric plugs & even beach bag for use. They burn lemongrass/ citronella oil in the bathroom to keep mozzies away & room smells good.
Massage at their spa: very good & reasonable price, sound of the waves makes the massage so relaxing, must try.
Shuttle bus to main street: every 2 hrs they can drop you or pick up from main street as there resort is not at the road side. Not sure if it's because of low season, hope the shuttle service can be more frequent.
Thank you everybody at Santhiya Tree Koh Chang for the great service and smiles. Will definitely come back for another holiday and highly recommend if you're looking for a fantastic place to stay! This beautiful place takes your stress away :)
P.S. there's a small part of the road right outside the resort leading to the entrance is unsealed with lots of potholes, pretty bumpy for cars and their shuttle bus, suggest Santhiya Tree do something with it.

PPengguna TetamuBeautiful structure buit on stilts over the waters with one of the best seafood restaurant of Koh Chang. Large room well equiped nicely decorated and well maintained. Free kayaks to explore the bay or to spend some lovely times at the small white sand beach on Koh Phrao Nok. Best is to rent a scooter to explore the area since the roads are flat and safe on this side of the island. Not only Long Beach or Memorial Beach but Salakphet Temple, the waterfall and the mangrove forest is a must to visit !!! We had a great private tour boat at a very affordable price with several stops on different islands. Just ask the manager Khun Big and she will do her best to fulfil your expectations for a customized experience. Be aware Salakphet is a quiet traditional fishing village so do not expect bars or discos in the surroundings but is a great spot for nature lovers. We could spend only 3 days here and it was not enough to discover everything so we will come back again.

PPengguna TetamuOK why am I giving 3 and not a 5 star rate, for a couple of key points, but let's start with a positive points. Great location, and beautiful property, nice pool (although at the time we visited the pool was green it didn't bother us but it might bother you) and facilities. Nice breakfast, good happy hour. Nice rooms with great balconies. Now into the details that I didn't like. - The room wasn't well clean, since day 1, even when we checked in we didn't have towels and had to wait couple of hours to get towels and after requesting several times. We also noticed that all floors had different cleaning staff, maybe we weren't lucky, we were on the room 233. - Poor and old amenities in the room. We had a super old shower cap in the room with hairs, really unacceptable for a 4 star hotel, and that was it for amenities, and the tray their were supposed to be displayed was dirty with hairs and dust. - somehow the room was missing something, maybe the cleaning part, because it missed the wow factor that it could have. - the hotel promotes tours with elephant riding which in my opinion is BIG NO and unacceptable. - the egg station in the breakfast was working in a strange way, if you wanted a fired egg they had already several done and in a super odd shape, not natural. I don't understand why to have egg station if you don't preper them fresh. - the staff in the reception was not costumer service mind or service minded, maybe they need a workshop for all staff members in this hotel, maybe it's a management problem or still covid recovery problem. I don't know this hotel has such a great potential maybe it's the best hotel in the island and some details are missing. Another annoying point, but this is not the hotels fault is just a warning, so much people taking Instagram pictures everywhere, to the point that it's annoying. People are not experiencing the place instead they are taking pictures to post online, and it kills the vibe. I hope someone reads it and it creates an impact in how this hotel is managed, spec3the cleaning and attention to detail. Would I return yes, again I believe that this is one of the best hotels in the island. This is not a complain althout it might sound, it's more notes for improvement. Hope next time I can give a 5 star rating.

PPengguna TetamuSehr schönes Hotel, stellenweise leider etwas abgewohnt, aber trotzdem noch ganz schön. Wir hatten ein Bungalow direkt am angrenzenden Fluss, was von der Lage her schön war, jedoch von Innen sehr Standard eingerichtet und ziemlich abgewohnt war. Zudem war es ganz leicht schräg. Aber das hält sich in Grenzen, darüber kann man hinweg sehen. Es gibt 2 schöne Pools in der Anlage mit ausreichend Liegeflächen. Zudem wird ein kostenloser Shuttle Boot Service zum Strand und zur den Fireflys angeboten. Wenn man Pech hat wartet man jedoch lange auf das Shuttle bis es einen wieder mit zurück nimmt oder man verpasst die Rückfahrt (18 Uhr), dann muss man ca. 25 min zu Fuß zurück gehen (Navi oder Ortskenntnisse nötig). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist leider nicht empfehlenswert, die Auswahl sehr klein und geschmacklich auch nicht so gut, dann lieber für kleines Geld auswärts frühstücken. Der Service an sich war völlig okay und sauber ist die Anlage auch. Von der Lage her ist ein Roller vorteilhaft, aber kein Muss, in 15-20 min Gehweg erreicht man auch das wichtigste. Das Wlan in den Zimmern ist okay, reicht für Netflix. Aber zum Arbeiten vllt. nicht so geeignet.

BBrianna PierreCame here with a friend for a Christmas holiday and it was great. The guest manager was a delight and he was very personable, helping with breakfast and conversing with guests about places he loved on the island and life in general. He seems to actually love his job which is refreshing. The rooms were delightful and clean and the bath tub was so soothing as was the view. But note that the resort is at the top of the island so if you want to go to beaches like bang bao bay or lonely island you’ll have to hire a car or taxi. Luckily the resort helped us with that. A staffer named Q even helped my friend find a spot for a late night snack. Overall our stay was great. I would suggest adding a vending machine to the resort for snacks when the kitchen is closed as well as maybe having an additional shuttle available for beaches farther away to allow for guests to sign up to pay a travel fee that they could split evenly. (For example, Mondays is lonely island, Tuesdays you may go to bang bao bay etc). Other than that everything was easy and well accommodated. Would definitely stay here again.

Great beachfront location, nice pool, nice restaurant and comfort bed in the heart of town but not loud at night at all, ideal for those wanting to be in town but not party too hard
