Asrama di Daerah Ko Kut

Thailand is a favorite destination of ours, and Soneva Kiri is now our favorite resort there! We flew there from Bangkok International Airport to what is apparently the smallest airport in Thailand. Landing in this bare-bones jungle airfield immediately conjured up feelings of yesteryear air-travel to far flung lands. And being then whisked off to a waiting launch to take us to the resort only added to that feeling. Staff lined up to meet guests on arrival where our butler introduced himself. We were given our own buggies to get around with and so we toured the resort, which turned out to be quite large. It really wasn’t until the third day before we stopped making wrong turns when getting around. They have several restaurants within the resort, as well as one just outside which can be accessed by road or boat. All serve excellent food, with many ingredients home grown. They have an all-you-can-eat vegan chocolate room and ice-cream bar, which I often stopped by at. Most memorable moments for us were a dinner at their restaurant on the mangrove, which we took the boat to just at sunset, and the Treepod Dining where we were lifted above the jungle canopy for a meal overlooking the sea. Our accommodations were gorgeous with our villa having not only its own pool but also a private beach. Nice touches with a Smeg fridge and other cute amenities. The outdoor bathroom was beautifully designed and comfortable. Usually you’d worry about mosquitoes in such a jungle setting in Thailand, but we didn’t notice much of them here. If you’re looking for great selfie moments, this is the place! I couldn’t stop taking pictures of our villa and the way the sunlight played on it. And the sea here is crystal-clear blue. Beachside dining, clifftop dining, and the aforementioned treepod and mangrove dining all lend to amazing moments. I found myself constantly eating so though there’s a nice gym with organized programs of yoga and taichi, I never went to them. Haha. I did use their spa though, which was great. If you’re looking for a totally relaxing luxury getaway destination, this is the place!

We spent 3 nights in Koh Kood Paradise and it is really a beautiful place! Beautiful garden, clean and comfortable bungalows, very attentive staff and great food for reasonable prices. A small shop is also available and another one in walking distance... Highlight is the pool and the beach! We visit Thailand since 12 years now and it is one of a few pools which is not ice cold, my son loved it! The beach is a paradise, quiet and natural in walking distance. Perfect place on Koh Kood! Thanks to everybody for everything! Take care and stay healthy 😀

The beach front pool villa was perfect, looking straight out over the sea. Two huge double beds which were really comfortable. Cold, quiet air conditioning. Large bathroom with outside shower. (inc shampoo, body wash etc) TV with Netflix if you’re feeling lazy. And a coffee machine. Outside pool was an added bonus to cool off. Zanzibar, the resort cocktail bar make really great cocktails with happy hour (50% off) between 5 to 7 Breakfast was good and had variety. Eggs station, toast, bacon and pastries. They also have rice dishes, vegetables and pasta. The resort restaurant was disappointing with prices well over 300 baht for Thai dishes. The quality did not reflect the price at all. Be aware if you book a transfer through the resort to Koh Chang, it’s pricey & stops at multiple piers before heading to Koh Chang.

Usually a hotel or resort doesn't live up to the advertising but in this case it definitely does. Koh Kood is a beautiful island and this resort is amazing. Incredible location on a stunning beach, amazing facilities and fantastic staff. The deluxe pool villa was well-appointed with everything i needed, including a delightful little pool. The resort's galaxy pool is big and looks straight across the lawn to the beach. Every single staff member I came across was friendly, helpful and professional. I hope to come back to this beautiful resort another time.

Wir waren unsere letzten 3 Nächte auf der Insel in diesem Resort um uns noch einmal ein paar schöne letzte Tage zu machen. Zuvor waren wir für 2 Nächte in einem Hostel auch auf Koh Kood, dort haben wir uns leider wohler gefühlt als in diesem Resort. Das Resort ist anscheinend seit 2015 eröffnet und wird nun (vielleicht auch durch COVID) herunter gewirtschaftet. Wird wurden bei der Ankunft nicht begrüßt, lediglich nach dem Reisepass in einem unfreundlichen Ton gefragt. Die Zimmer werden nicht richtig geputzt. Unser Zimmer hat muffelig gerochen als wäre ein Tier im Zimmer gestorben ;D. Die Toilette war verdreckt mit Haaren von den vorherigen Besuchern. In der Dusche war ein Toter Käfer im Seifenspender. Die Eingangstüre ließ sich nur mit Gewalt verschließen da der elektronische Schließmechanismus kaputt war und somit die Türe mit einem normalen Schlüssel verschlossen werden musste was nicht ging da die Türe verschoben war. Nach der ersten Nacht haben wir abgewartet ob die verdreckte Toilette und der Käfer vom Zimmerservice entfernt werden, dies war nicht der Fall. Wir haben also den Zimmerservice darauf angesprochen woraufhin die Mängel im Bad beseitigt wurden aber auch nicht mehr als nötig gemacht wurde. Abends wird hier nichts geboten an Entertainment. Vom Steg aus ist Abends zu erkennen, dass in den benachbarten Resorts beleuchtet ist und der einzige Abteil am Strand des Medee Resorts nicht. Positiv: Zwei sehr süße Hunde um die sich auch gut gekümmert wird. Fazit: Das Resort ist auf jeden Fall zu teuer (90€ die Nacht). Es könnte hier sehr schön sein wenn sich ein bisschen um kleine Mängel gekümmert wird aber das ist nicht der Fall. Vorherige schlechte Bewertungen kann ich leider bestätigen. Warum sich hier um nichts gekümmert wird ist mir ein Rätsel. Es scheint als hätten die Besitzer einfach keine Lust sich um etwas zu kümmern.

At first I saw a very good review. But this is what I got from here on the first day of my stay. How many people are there? why so many Then when getting out of the car The reception staff walked in frustrated. sound not good at all The first word of welcome is How many people come? We have reserved 2 rooms. So many people come!! Well, this is the receptionist. Or the staff kicked the guests out of the resort. So said that 2 friends stayed somewhere else. She still made an annoyed face and asked 2-3 times where we stayed. A friend who is on the phone is asking there. Frankly speaking, the most impolite that I have ever traveled to all over Thailand, all over the world. Will ask to leave a friend's bag in the room It's not good to make a deposit. (Come with 9 people, reserved 3 rooms, with 1 extra bed, total stay here for 7 people As for 2 friends, just get out of the car and book another place to stay) And brought only 4 glasses of welcome drink, saying that we only booked 2 rooms When he said why he said to the guest that Why are there so many No, it's okay, they said they didn't pick up the call. then get frustrated despite having already coordinated the pick up from the boat At night, I saw a waiter come to check the bill. My boyfriend asked me if I had wifi. This person made a swaying face, sounded bad, said to go look at the counter 🙁 Very confused. The staff here If you lose money, just take a beautiful accommodation, worth it. But the service is called the worst I've ever seen. from real customers who lost a lot of knowledge because he bought 9 rooms, went for another 2 nights, invited friends to come And this is what I received within the first day of my stay. I don't know what else I have to find before checking out.

I read numerous reviews from different sites mostly pre pandemic. Numerous negative comments primarily focused on the lack of maintenance relating to bungalows and surrounding grounds. Well after my first day here I can say nothing has changed. I paid 2470 baht per night for my aircon bungalow x 5 nights. Generally, as long as the room is devoid of bugs and the aircon, tv, fridge and hot water all work (all okay here) I'm not too fussed about decor etc. But I think the price to value ratio lacked equity. I say this based on comparative island establishments from my extensive traveling around Thailand. Only the pool and beach were redeeming features for me. Breakfast was ordered from a set menu plus toast, juices and fruit. This switched to a buffet when there were enough guests. It was adequate for me. A ground maintenance crew turned up on my second day so they would have been kept busy for some time. The resort did organise a fire show on the Saturday night. I did not leave Koh Kood with a fond memory of my bungalow but I did toward the friendly, helpful and attentive staff and the location on this beautiful island.

Все было замечательно. Идея с санузлом под открытым небом- скорее интересно чем удобно. Что же касается самого места: все бы ок, но видимо тайцам норм то, что пляж- за счет которого собственно они и живут, закидан мусором, в воде у берега плавают пакеты и пробки. По итогу ( а мы были на нескольких ресортах на острове) появляется эко развлечение- отдыхающие сами чистят воду и пляж от мусора, складывают его в одном каком то месте, а персонал улыбаясь наблюдает за этим…… видимо это особенность местная.
