"I like it very much. All the staff are lovely.
The rooms are private bungalows. Not a very long walk from the reception.
The equipment in the room is complete except the TV that is old.
Completely complete, no need to go anywhere
Sleep, eat, swim, watch the sunset Next to the sea, very beautiful
Overall overall 9/10.
This trip took my mother to an impressive vacation."
"Facilities: I have stayed in the best hotel in Thailand and the founder of Six Senses, so it is quite similar to Six Senses, but it feels better than Six Senses Koh Samui. Maybe the location and the pick-up by private jet and yacht will make the experience even more upgraded. The brightest point is that the hotel's breakfast is superb
Environment: very good feeling back to nature
Hygiene: excellent and impeccable
Very satisfied with the 3-week trip to Thailand. Soneva is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Thailand. From the environment to the service to the additional items of the hotel, I recommend everyone to go diving and fishing. The price is also very reasonable. I plan to go there again at the end of the year"
"Clean, quiet, suitable for relaxing on the beach, convenient for swimming, excellent service, can ask for help with travel well. But a little bit of food, the taste is foreign, not very strong."

"I had an amazing time during my stay at Tinkerbell. The atmosphere was so peaceful. If you’re looking for a place to relax and not crowded, Tinkerbell is definitely a choice. The food was great. Plus, there is a kayak free for in-house guests. The guard will take care of you if you want to go kayaking."

"Beautiful place, very beautiful beach, can swim, newly opened accommodation, many management still need to be improved, such as the amount of breakfast, drinks during long holidays are not enough for guests, the hotel tries to manage the situation well, but customers have to wait a bit.
If you focus on a survival atmosphere, it is okay.
Cleanliness is okay, bathroom, shower room should have shoes for customers to change into.
The tent is cleaned every day and you can ask for new towels every day."

"The highlight staying at Baan Suan is definitely the passionate hospitality of host Lily, would is happy to go above and beyond to help make your Koh Kood stay fun and memorable.
I stayed at the standard room, which looked a bit different to the photos, generally clean but beware of flying ants at night when you have your lights on, and also for small geckos and the likes (toilet and shower is also outside of room, which is something not mentioned at booking, for people who are wary of mosquitos and other insects going to the bathroom at night might want to consider an upgrade in room).
Location is on the main road 10 easy mins walk to Bang Bao beach. Otherwise there's restaurants and cafés within 15mins walk either direction of road.
All in all, recommended to stay here if you'd like a homefeel to the chilled vibes of Koh Kood!"

Excellent
GGuest UserStayed for 4 days. The room was very clean. I really liked its courtyard and the platform in front of the room. It was very relaxing to sit and do nothing to watch the sea and feel the sea breeze. The room was well maintained and the facilities felt very new. The hotel is located at a higher position, and the view of the sea and the sunset is beautiful. The hotel faces the sea and walks 100 meters to the left across the pier to the beach. The sand is very clean and the sea water is clear. It is quite convenient to go to the beach. Breakfast is ordered, juice, fruit sandwiches... It is really delicious. Sometimes we also have dinner in the restaurant. The taste is very good 👍 The service is professional and thoughtful. By the way, there are several cats in the hotel. They are very friendly. They will rub you casually and accompany you to watch the sunset... In short, I like the sand tower very much and it is a very satisfactory stay.
PPatrick SchmidThis resort is really fantastic!
It's a shame that I only booked 3 nights.
The bungalows are simple, but nicely furnished and, above all, absolutely clean! The bathroom is nicely decorated, with a mix of different materials.
The air conditioning worked well and was not loud at all (as others have written).
The highlight here is the beautiful palm garden, which is looked after daily by the staff.
The beach is also very nice and clean. Depending on the tide, the beach is wider or almost non-existent (at very high tide). At high tide you can swim almost from the start, at low tide you have to walk a little outside and keep your eyes open (there are some larger rocks/stones).
At breakfast you can choose what you want, and you can order several things. At best, fresh orange juice and whole grain toast could be offered (there is just white toast and normal orange juice).
The owner and the whole family are very nice and take very good care of the whole complex.
The dinner is also good, but for a change you can also go to one of the restaurants on the main street, these are also very good.
The location on the island is also good. You can quickly reach other beaches or one of the three waterfalls here on a scooter.
Definitely a place I would like to return to.
GGuest UserUsually a hotel or resort doesn't live up to the advertising but in this case it definitely does. Koh Kood is a beautiful island and this resort is amazing. Incredible location on a stunning beach, amazing facilities and fantastic staff. The deluxe pool villa was well-appointed with everything i needed, including a delightful little pool. The resort's galaxy pool is big and looks straight across the lawn to the beach. Every single staff member I came across was friendly, helpful and professional. I hope to come back to this beautiful resort another time.
RRonnie WayneMy friends stayed at the Shanta’s which is really nice. I spent the days at their hotel because the landscape and layout was far superior. Also the Shanta rooms overlook the water whereas paradise is like a travel lodge motel. I understand the Shantaa is more expensive but the paradise was designed not to look very nice. There is much landscaping and a very sterile environment. The rooms and facility need updating. The breakfast is very low quality even the bread and juices. The main courses were maybe a 2 to 3 out of 5.
The service was fine in the lobby and housekeeping was ample. They did not replace my coffee and the shower gel was broken and I left it by the sink thinking they would repair it but they did not.
If you want to be near the beach and do not mind staying in average rooms with no view, this is the place. I was unable to find another reasonable priced hotel with good ratings on trip. The trip rating system is flawed since my service was fine and they do have amenities.
EEvgenia K.Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏
GGuest UserStarting with the positives, Tolani resort has really friendly staff who bent over backwards to make your stay pleasant. It also has beautiful rooms our bungalow was clean and comfortable with good aircon and a very comfortable bed. It gave a feeling of luxury though the water pressure in the shower was really bad. It’s outside of the rooms that this resort falls flat.
Tolani is positioning itself as a luxury resort and with a high price point to match but for the money it doesn’t deliver. The resort is supposedly on the beach but in reality the beach is not easily accessible from the resort. You can climb over rocks and swim over to the beach but it’s not easy. This means you will not have any sun loungers on the beach which can be an issue as the pool area is very small with only a handful of beds there. It’s also what you want from a beach front resort.
The food at the resort including breakfast is very poor but very expensive. Thankfully there are great restaurants nearby but we didn’t have a single good meal here. Drinks and food are massively overpriced for the island too.
We also had a poor experience at checkout. We had given our scooter back to the hire place but needed to head to the shops and so my wife asked if it was possible to get a taxi. A kind member of staff offered to run her up the road quickly in their car which we assumed was just a kind gesture. On checkout they charged us 15 euros for this trip. That’s an outrageous price for a 5 minute ride down the road but it also wasn’t communicated to us that we would be charged at the time as we wouldn’t have agreed. When we challenged this they told us we had to pay. It left a really bad taste in the mouth and it showcased this place is mainly looking to make money off its guests and not about creating a good experience.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there are better resorts for the price point and the food and facilities are both sorely lacking. The lovely staff are not enough to save the price gouging happening here.
GGuest UserThe wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach …
But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) .
But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible.
The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) .
It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing..
it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..
PPockatmzEvery time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.
RRoaming C5The resort location is just excllent. The whole resort occupied the best location of conjunction between beach and river. So fatastic to walk around the river month and beach. Beach water is clear, and even good sakat boat free for travel.
The most special room type is canal view family, which can only be booked from officiial web. Garden view family room booked from Trip.com is also good, if you are lucky you may have have to river view. I hope next time I can get canal view room from trip.com.
Food is execllent for asian. Free drInks and toast are nice.
Overall very nice experience.
VVenti.JWe stayed at Bunyagard for a week in February. There are 8 cozy bungalows (2 rows of 4), each with a charming feel.
Free water, tea, and coffee available around the clock.
Simple but delicious breakfast buffet.
The rooms are small, but we knew that in advance. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious!
Walls are thin, which wasn’t a big of a deal. There’s been only one night with a fighting couple (hope they sorted it out by now). All other nights were peaceful.
The backyard landscaping is beautiful and really well maintained — a little green paradise!
There’s a shortcut through another resort to the beach — just ignore the “No Trespassing” signs and be respectful by picking up after yourself (the staff told us that as long as visitors keep the beach clean, the resorts don’t mind).
Super friendly staff who helped us with heavy luggage and arranging ferry taxis.
To dry our clothes we hang a line outside of our room and it wasn’t until checkout that we noticed the staff adjusted our amateur knots with some really professional knots. THANK YOU Bunyagard (next time you need to teach us)!
One lady is fluent in English. And with google translator we’ve been able to communicate with all the staff. Where there’s a will, there’s a way ;)
5/5 🤍 We’re definitely looking forward staying at Bunyagard again!
