What a great hotel. The location is idylic. The room was clean. The private beach was lovely and they had a fire show every night. The restaurant on site was the best on the island. The pool was nice. There is a motorbike rental shop conveniently right next door. The tour services offered are reasonably priced and not marked up just because they are offered by the hotel. My only complaint is that there are lots of dogs barking all night.

I stayed at a quiet mini resort, which was great for peace and quiet. The best part was the chocolate cabin in the woods behind it. The infinity pool was mostly quiet and the rooms were cleaned well, which was important to me as someone with OCD. Despite being on the ground level with a sea view, I didn't encounter any bugs or ants inside. The staff was decent, but not overly welcoming or friendly. Jik, who worked at the reception, was helpful and booked reservations for us at restaurants and other Samed group resorts. However, the resort was a bit far (15-minute drive) from everything else, making it quite a ride by motorbike or taxi. The distance felt longer when traveling around the island. My least favourite thing was the breakfast restaurant. The Japanese style seating, while great for lunches or dinners, became annoying after a day or two, especially during breakfast when I needed to get up several times and bruised myself getting up. The restaurant also had an ant problem, which made me feel very uneasy and ruined my enjoyment of breakfast. I wished we hadn't included breakfast at the hotel. I felt that the same hygiene methods used for the rooms should be applied to the restaurant to prevent the ant issue.

We stayed at Baan Ploy Sea for the second time, and the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of selections. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, Baan Ploy Sea is the perfect choice.

We had a wonderful first resort experience. The service and facilities were great, fireshow was exciting and our 3 hour snorkelling adventure was super fun.

really cozy places, i prefer villas in the forest side than beside the sea...nice breakfast and great staff.

Quiet, clean, good location. Overall service is great. However, it would be great if there were more lights for the buildings at the back of the property.

Nice place to spend with family on weekend if you preferred less crowded and chilled place, they have a nice cafe be sure to check it out in the morning. Restaurant also not bad.

A chic boutique hotel close to its private pier, though away from the main Sai Kaew beach. It’s smaller beach lacks the beautiful soft sand but is quiet. My family had fun looking for the many sea urchins. My kids also love the orange swimming pool though it’s quite small. I love the jungle theme of the room setting. The rooms are big and fashionably designed. I hope there’s a gym for me to work out. Food in the restaurant is not expensive and pretty good.

Resort is made with a lot of love for detail, jungle-rooms are wonderful; modern, big and very clean, good bed! Beach is small but clean and enough beach chairs & towels available, restaurant is airy and nice. Getting from and to ao prao pier ＜-＞ resort very well organized, nice waiting area at mainland. Very nice staff! Minuspoints: gym is lacking and beach is small so no possibilities for “proper movement” or extensive beachwalks, bf is a little limited and boring, same 2 fruits every day, no müsli, coffee not so good. Restaurant also limited. Roads on the island dangerous and dirty with a lot of waste and half finished buildings around… high (fixed) prices to get around (to get dinner somewhere else)…

Location is fine, close to the pier. Far away from the crowded places, if you wanna go for there can rent a bike. The main reason why we chose this hotel it’s a sea view, and even you sleep you can hear the waves and smell the sea breeze. It’s the right place for relax with the kids. Territory safe, you can stay in the restaurant and see how the kids playing on the beach. Restaurant is also good, have a choice on western good and Thai. Or you can order the fresh seafood. Sure will come back again there.
