We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and when we arrived the male staff memeber was lovely and helpful with our belongings up to our room. When we arrived we noticed that the building and hotel was very very run down and appeared to be very dated and looked nothing like the pictures shown when booking. There was no lift which wasn’t massive for us but could be for someone else with larger luggage. As we went up to the room on the first floor we walked across a decking like bridge which had obvious breaks and missing parts of the wood and did not feel sturdy. When we got into our room it was big enough for us but again was very dated and the doors were just two patio like doors (not much security especially when leaving belongings inside the room). During the first day of checking in the toilet was leaking and was not flushing - we raised this with the man at the hotel and he said he will get someone to come and fix this but did not give us a time or anything to when this would be happening. Also had a power cut during the first night which lasted up to 5 minutes and left us with no lights to see in the room. We went out for the day and when we came back someone had been in the room but again no one give us a time or anything and this made us feel slightly uneasy as we had strangers come into our room without our knowledge (we would of been absolutely fine if someone would of told us a time/date of when they was coming) Around the 2nd day the AC stopped working, we went down to the ‘reception’ (was just a room next too other bedrooms) and there was no one there, my partner went and spoken with the security man outside and he kindly came up to the room and said he will turn off the electricity for the room and it should be restart it, he did this and it worked for a few hours and then stopped again. We settled without it for the night as again there was no staff present. The next morning the sink broke and the plug was stuck not allowing us to drain water of the sink. my partner and I went down to the reception and was 3 women sat in the room and we explained the issue with the AC and the sink and all 3 of the women stood and stared at us very uncomfortably and began to speak in Thai, myself and my partner reiterated the issue as we thought it may be a language barrier but they began laughing at us and said ‘dont know’ and continued to mess around with their watches. We again said about the issue and then a lady came up to the room and said she will get someone to come up to the room to sort out the AC - again did not say when or a time of when this was happening so I explained that I would like a staff member to go up to the room with the engineer to ensure nothing goes missing. Myself and my partner were also very dubious with regards to bed bugs as throughout our whole stay in Thailand we had not been bitten once and then we have left the hotel with a lot of bites and only seem to have been bitten when we was in bed during the day/night Throughout our stay we was made to feel very uncomfortable by the female staff members as they would constantly laugh and stare and speak in Thai every time we went passed. Overall the stay was NOT worth the amount we paid for and would not stay again .

Location is nice and quiet . Room is good for us but the AC is not good. Make some noise all night and then leaked water from it. Other than that we’re happy with the hotel. We spent good time here.

DO NOT STAY HERE: LOUD MUSIC If you want to be able to get a good night’s rest, go elsewhere. On my first night, they played extremely loud music from around 10pm thru 4am. How loud? It made sleep impossible. Tired from the flight from Bangkok, I had to sleep in Sunday just to recover, which prevented me from sightseeing. I complained and the next night they played their music more softly. But two nights later, they were back playing loud music, at times till 5am. A staff member even told me that many guests complain but somehow the bar manager (Hassan?) insists on playing loud music, even though the hotel owner had told him to stop. It’s a weird dynamic where the bar manager has more power over the owner. The same staff member told me the father in a family of four went to the bar and got very close to exchanging blows with the manager. But the loud music somehow is high priority over guests’ comfort and rest. And that the 7 bar patrons (bar capacity is about 10 persons) who are transient and order $3 beers are more important than hotel guests who pay $100+ per night. Stupid ****** are running this place. NO UPKEEP Also, the place seems to be needing updating. Many of the furniture in the dining area are rusting bad. Lounge seating is stained and dirty. The AC often leaks water. One time I awoke up to so much water on the floor it was literally a flood. If your room is on the second floor, the floors creak so bad you always worry about guests below you. NO FOOD, NOT EVEN COFFEE There is no restaurant here. Therefore there is no option for breakfast. They don’t even provide coffee or tea. All you get is bottled water. You may cook your own food in the common kitchen. The nearest restaurants are 2 kilometers away. IRREGULAR, UNPREDICTABLE CLEANING Rooms are not cleaned daily. I was told it would be every 3 days. But staff don’t seem to count days properly. When I approached staff - on Day 4 - to remind them 3 days had passed without cleaning, I was told they’d do it ‘tomorrow’. So in effect this period was 5 days without cleaning. UNSECURED ENTRANCE While they give you the combination to open it, the entrance door is open 24/7 anyway. Anyone can wander in from the street and come to your room. And because there are only 9 or 10 guest rooms in the entire place, anyone can easily find you just by going to each room. STILL WANNA COME? I’m confident if you still come after reading this, you will regret it, unless you’re the partying kind and don’t care much about rest and sleep. All these issues are real and apparent from Day 1. You’ve been warned.
