In Touch Resort

Ate dinner tonight at Hacienda Grill at Hacienda Tres Rios at Playa del Carmen. Miguel was our waiter. Nothing could be better than the kind attention and concern for our enjoyment. Miguel was/is fantastic. Miguel arranged this special dinner for us because he was concerned our previous dinner didn't meet his standards. This on blew it out of the park.

The restaurant here is amazing! It’s excellent value for money- we went 3 times in 4 days! The location is lovely and it’s has a very chilled out a**osphere. Breakfast here while looking out at the sea is very relaxing! The staff are great too.

We stayed at the resort as a couple for 6 nights and had booked a standard studio. Unfortunately our stay was very disappointing. The positives were: the location next to the beach and the transfer service. Just a few of our negative impressions: - There is an extremely musty/damp smell in the room... the 13 year old air conditioning only makes it worse. Questionable whether and how often it was serviced. - 2 times a day garbage is burned next door and it smells terrible. Since you can't close the windows in the bathroom, the smell wafts in. Around 5 pm it is always particularly bad, maybe it is also due to the location of our room (No. 23). - Generally very old and tasteless furnishings in the room - The shower head does not hold - Water pressure in the shower fluctuates extremely - Water temperature also fluctuates. It is either boiling hot or freezing cold. Temperature control does not work. - besides that ...You don't even want to see the ants as a point of criticism anymore - The outside staircase to the 2nd floor is without railings We complained to the service about some of the problems and they took action, but nothing changed during our stay. Only the low price and the location made the stay bearable. However, the staff were nice and the restaurant right by the sea is good value. However, the hygiene there also leaves a lot to be desired. We will definitely never come back to the "resort".

I decided on In Touch based on the reviews, price and location. Taxi ride from ferry was about 5minutes (300 bhat). Check in was easy. We stayed in the Studio Balcony on the 3rd floor which was hard with carrying luggage without elevators, but they helped. One of the steps is uneven going up to 2nd floor. Room was very spacious with platform bed, benches around perimeter, large mini fridge with freezer, desk area and small eating area, along with a separate sum room and balcony with sea view. There was no dresser but plenty of counter and bench space to put things. The bed was on the firm/hard side but pillows were decent. Bathroom was spacious with double sinks and plenty of counter space. Shower pressure was very good but drainage system not so good, so water would back up into rest of bathroom if you took too long of a shower. Power would cut out whenever you left room with the key, but AC and fan worked well once you returned. Wifi worked well from our room. Location was great, with access to walking path along Sairee beach but on the edge so not too busy and loud. Good restaurant on site for any meal (7:30-10pm), as well as drinks. Pros: location, spacious room, good AC/fan, large mini fridge, cost Cons: no elevators, uneven step, poor shower drainage, resort grounds somewhat run down.

Super room with everything you need. Very confortable beds and really good AC. Balcony at our location had a small but nice view of ocean. If you are able to climb stairs take a high floor for the view. There are No elevators as far as I could tell. A Very secure location. All the area all around always felt very safe. Great restaurant right across the walkway. Trees in bloom, mango season, warm people, warm water, beautiful area.

Nicely located hotel on Sairee Beach with its own restaurant and beach front. We really enjoyed our room which was very spacious, comfortable beds and really enjoyed just sitting on the balcony in the morning listening to the birds, watching the butterflies and looking out to sea. Restaurant is average, but perfectly alright. Would return

The best restaurant we tried on Koh tao. And very cheap. I Will say that the cooks are Extremely talented. Hidden Michelin cooks. The pad Thai had an amazing grill flavor. The papaya salad was good as well. And the shakes. We will come back again

It has been a pleasure to stay at the In Touch hotel. We have felt very welcome with the lovely host, who ask every day if we are well and happily help us book boat trips, taxis, etc. We ended up extending our stay twice because we had such a good time here. We have stayed in three different rooms, and all are super good. Room service every day, good beds, good AC, fridge, large bathrooms and much more. The only improvement could be the slightly unstable internet, which the hosts are aware of, but it is a bit complicated to improve when you are on an island. The hotel is also right next to a lovely sandy beach. Opposite the hotel is the In Touch Restaurant, and we ate here every day with great pleasure - they make the best Pad Thai we have had the month we have now been traveling in Thailand. Very central location, but quiet at night. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Koh Tao. Thank you so much :-)

Koh Tao around In Touch resort is what I expect of an island holiday. It is on a the waterfront with a restaurant the other side of a pedestrian road. In front of the restaurant is a perfect turquoise bay for swimming and snorkelling over amazing corals. One can walk in either direction along the pedestrian and scooter paved pathways to many shops and other amenities including restaurants,massages and book shops. The rooms are well appointed and good aircon and bed and bathroom. The restaurant has a vast al la carte menu which is so good that we didn’t need to eat out anywhere else. The view particularly at sunset is beautiful and attracts many to the sunset spectacular. I would highly recommend this venue for a wonderful holiday. 5 stars.
