Location is outskirts,other than that,rest is very good. Not many restaurants nearby.

Check-In: Das Personal am Check-In wies uns auf die kostenlose ÖPNV Nutzung hin. Ausserdem wurde die Möglichkeit der Zubuchung eines Frühstücks und die gratis Inanspruchnahme der Garage und Parkplätze thematisiert. Schade war nur, dass obwohl wir alleine am Check-In warteten, man sich recht viel Zeit zur Dokumentation am Computer lies bevor sich um ums gekümmert wurde. Lage: Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits zu Fuss etwa 15 Minuten zur Innenstadt. Die nahegelegene Schnellstrasse ist bei offenem Fenster gut zu hören. Die nächste Bushaltestelle etwa 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Zimmer: Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Leider etwas hellhörig, sodass gerade Personen auf dem Gang gut zu hören waren. Service: Es wurde beim Frühstück nicht kontrolliert, ob wir Gäste waren, die diese Option gebucht haben oder nicht. Auch war die Dame, die zur Zubereitung des Essens zuständig war zeitgleich auch Reinigungskraft für den Buffetbereich. Insgesamt begegnete man uns freundlich. Essen: Das Buffet war überschaubar und bot eine kleine Auswahl von den gängigsten Frühstücksoptionen. Fazit: Ausreichend für einen Kurztrip nach Konstanz.

En arrivant tard et fatigués, on aime être accueilli avec le sourire. Pas le cas ici. Paiement d'abord, il faut insister pour obtenir sa facture. Revenir le lez demain pour obtenir les tickets gratuits touristiques 3 jours. Et patienter je jour du départ pour accéder au parking puisque l'ascenseur qui vous y emmène est bloqué par le service lingerie qui est prioritaire. Sinon Ibis classique, petit déjeuner continental généreux, chambre correcte et propre, pas comme celui de Trouville ( France), je le rappelle à chaque fois car j'attends toujours la réponse à ma réclamation. Depuis je ne réponds plus aux inutiles demandes d'avis d'Accor. .

I stayed with my husband for two nights. Have been apprehended by some first negative reviews. Probably the teething problems are over. Nevertheless, I had an adequate stay encountering very friendly and forthcoming staff. A Hampton is a Hampton, not a Palace. However, there were some fixtures that went beyond the Hampton standard I am aware of in Europe: rather spacious hotel room, a fridge (empty), a safe. A neat sitting area with a small table - but no formal writing desk. Large TV set. The bathroom was spacious, the shower cubicle was totally separated by a glass door. There even was a magnimagnifying mirror in the bath room. The hotel is NOT in the city center but eight bus stops away. Bus no. 8 goes frequently from the railway station (during the week every 15' until 21:00hrs, then hourly only, during week ends every 30'). You can buy the ticket with the driver (cash only, no credit card). One ticket costs 2.70€, a day ticket costs 5.30€) I liked staying at the hotel for those two nights very much. It was not at full capacity which might have been in my favor. The surrounding itself is rather bland. Just keep this in mind and your expectations for a clean, modern economy hotel will be fully met.

The two of us had a family room on the 5th floor, and the room was fine; the only unusual thing to us was that there were no kettle or cups in the room. However, there was unlimited hot water available from the lobby. Although our room overlooked a highway, there was no traffic noise to be heard (with the windows closed) The stay included a Bodenseecard West for the two of us which gave free access to local transport, and there is a handy bus (number 6 - four buses an hour during work time on weekdays; fewer in the evenings / weekends - schedule posted in the lobby) which runs from two bus stops near the hotel to the centre of Konstanz (including the main train station). Copious breakfast available.

Our overall experience was wonderful. The staff made us feel important and welcome. They are multi-lingual. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. Of course, it is very easy to access from the train station but this trip we arrived by auto. You must park at one of the city's parking lots, but we had no problems with that. It is old world but with efficient heat/ac, lighting, etc. Our room was spacious with a great view of the lake. We have been there before and will definitely return.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is quite corporate looking and doesn’t have much of an atmosphere. The room was fine and the bed very comfortable. There was no fridge in the room nor any coffee and tea making facilities. Only a bar of soap and tiny Rituals body lotion in bathroom. Parking in the car park next to the hotel costs £20 per 24 hours as the car park does not belong to the hotel and it’s the only car park nearby. Breakfast is 20 euros pp but there is a lot of choice. You have to pay 10 euros pp to use the sauna and they charge 5 euros pp if you want to swim in the river and need a towel.

Let me start by outlining that we have been to this hotel quite a number of times the last years. It excels with its position right at the waterfront of Konstanz. The rooms partially offer stunning views of the lake and the terrace was always a nice place to sip a drink or have a good lunch/dinner. That’s about it talking about the positive aspects of this hotel today. Not only you would expect something special looking at the prices they are asking for, they are today not even able to deliver on the basics. Some examples: although we had an upgrade voucher for a Suite this time, the room was rather small, but the biggest problem: it was shabby and dirty. Mold in the bathroom, broken cosmetic mirror, sink not working properly, no single corner of the room you really wanted to have a closer look at, the bed old and tired as well and in miserable optical condition, floor scratched and dirty - the list goes on. The potential jewel, the terrace, is managed badly: breakfast was served by friendly junior staff, but apparently at the beginning of their training and with no supervision, resulting in a load of uncleaned tables, wesps all over the place with jam and honey pots placed along the sides as an attempt to get rid of them, etc - not a place to feel comfy. I stop it here with my personal highlight: on the first evening I received an email from the hotel general manager, asking about my satisfaction. I answered expressing my dissatisfaction and asking for a change of room. I was promptly promised to hear back at short notice - after 2 days I received this morning when checkin out a standard reply with the usual BlaBla. Unfortunately every experience I made during my last 2 days felt like a rip-off. They are apparently milking this place as longs as that works. For us it certainly has been the last visit. Please avoid to be ripped off and choose some other nice places around, like the Riva Hotel or 47 Grad, just to name 2 good alternatives. I want not to miss to praise the junior staff in training. They are apparently left alone with a rather unpleasant situation and are still trying to do their very best, despite we could witness a couple of situations where there have been criticized harsh by apparently more senior staff. Unfortunately it rather sounded like accuses than training. Guys: it’s because of you that this review is voted with 2 stars instead of one! Chapeaux.

Haben dort vier Tage verbracht - Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral - Bus/Bahn sind schnell zu erreichen - auch Innenstadt und See sind schnell zu erreichen. Leider haben wir jedoch auch einige negative Punkt aufzuführen - Das Zimmer ist schon okay, leider keine Klima (wussten wir aber schon vorher) der dort befindliche Ventilator leider nicht funktionstüchtig (Bei Temperaturen von weit über 30 Grad sehr schade); Es ist ja schön wenn es im Zimmer die Möglichkeit gibt Tee oder Kaffee zuzubereiten - Zucker war zwar da aber Tee/Kaffee Fehlanzeige. Frühstück soweit in Ordnung - was stört (ist auch bei anderen Hotels leider so) dass es sich bei den Brötchen um Aufbackware gehandelt hat - von einem Hotel in schon gehobener Preiskategorie erwarte ich eigentlich mehr. Fazit - mehr als ein Befriedigend kann als Urteil nicht gegeben werden.
