Hotel berhampiran Cerkev sv. Bride / Chiesa di Santa Brigida, Koper

We were visiting the Slovenian Coast for 5 Nights as a couple with a dog. We opted for a hotel in a more quiet location compared with portoroz - Izola etc.... What a great choice! Firstly, the hotel is beautiful renovated and looks like a new place. All is well and feels new - from the Restaurant, Lobby and the Rooms! (and awesome Salt chambers..) We chose a double room with balcony, which in those hot days were great for the early mornings or later evenings! (plus a big help in drying beach towels and clothes!) The room was nice, safe and mini bar fridge all available. Good shower - and for outdoor 38 degrees heat a perfectly working Air Con!! That's a real bonus! The Food (Breakfast was an enough wide selection) and the Dinner (mixed à la carte & sushi) must be stated was amazingly nice cooked, real top quality chef! if you like to dine out or eat in the evenings out just a 10-minute walk is the Ancaran Townsquare with a handful of nice Bars, Italian, Local Speciality Restaurant and so on. ＞All one needs! But the best ist still straight down from the hotel, the small bar on the beach! - So! - most over all I like to mention the feeling being a few days away from home in this place made us really relaxed and the best of the hotel is the people who work there!! - from the welcome reception team to the bar & restaurant staff and the housekeepers - all were at every time friendly and engaged! Overall, the Owner or Manager of this Hotel should be happy to have exactly this team working there now! They are awesome people with a good sense of hospitality! I would try to keep them! From the hotel you can walk in 3-5 minutes to a nice calm, quiet beach with another nice Restaurant and Bar (directly overlooking the Bay of Ancaran, Koper and so on) which was a lovely scenery!). The water was crystal clean and perfect temperature, and each time coming back to the hotel felt simply nice. Having travelled over 100s of times and stayed in 2-5 star hotels all over - this is definitely a place to go back. You just have to know what you are looking for and what kind of entertainment one wants. If you choose wisely, and you look for a bit more quiet place and not overloaded with people - and good drinks, food etc... than this is your destination! Thank you Team Ortus for the great stay. This property is nice, styled in the Baroque period. Staff are friendly (Eastern Euro friendly that is... not bad, just different from”Western” friendly), and have been helpful (Jem, Sarah, Maria.) The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would not describe this property as an American luxury hotel, but it is certainly very nice. The toiletries and towels are skimpy, however sufficient. The breakfast buffet is certainly less in quantity than other hotels in Croatia offer in Rijeka, but the food is GOOD and fresh, there is cerals, scrambled eggs, yogurts, cheeses, breads, meats, juices and HOT coffee that tastes great. You won't be hungry with this buffet. The other reviews that complain are just whiners. The ONLY negative with this property is that the AC in each room (we had 2 rooms) are: noisy, barely cool and do smell musty. We opened the windows since it cools down nicely at night but there are no screens, so the mosquitos come in, so it is a catch 22: be warm or be bitten by bugs. Overall, I would stay here again.

This is our last night (of 8) here at Grand Hotel in Koper and it has been such a positive surprise. We are here because of a sailing regatta and have enjoyed every minute. The hotel is newly renovated and it more than deserves its 4 stars. The service is really special and not least the team at the front desk work around the clock to make your stay memorable. They make you feel so welcome. Location is also great and you will fall in love with the sea view from the superior rooms. Food is also great - both the daily breakfast with eggs at your choice, snacks, lunch and dinner also. We will come back. Thank you so much to allstaff@koper

We had some issues getting to the hotel due to the very slow passport control at Trieste airport and so turned up about 12:30 in the morning. Once we found the hotel we rang the bell several times and did not notice the sign stating that if closed go to the Intercontinental on the other side of the pedestrian area. The receptionist came across and guided us to the other hotel where we booked in and then he came across, showed us the key to get in and up to the lift where we went up to our suite. The suite was a good size with a microwave, fridge, kettle, pots and pans etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the room was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is in the other hotels' restaurant but it is less than a minute to walk across to it. Breakfast choice was not great - you have to choose your breakfast from a menu and it would have been better to have a buffet type. The hotel was quite expansive and I did not feel that it was worth the cost.

We visited last year in August , when we were in Trieste for a short trip . From the time we booked , everything was so hassle free , the day v Ver arriving our flights from Zurich got delayed , so I called them and they Really helped us how to access the apartment . We reached late in the evening but got in without any hassle , as instructed via sms . The Apartment is very modern have all the amenities that you require . We had superior city view apartment hence lucky to have 2 small balconies . Close to the supermarket which is across the street , walking distance to bus stop and Trieste central ofcourse close to piazza unita. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay so much , we are coming back , looking forward for our stay in September. Thankyou

Only open seasonally. The staff I spoke with was from Bali and Lombok. They return to their country when the season is over or work on cruise ships. With only six room, it’s quite a cozy boutique hotel nestled in a beautiful area of Istria’s very lush and green countryside. The town is super small and quiet except for the music school where you can hear musicians practicing their skills. We were even serenaded by several singers when having dinner at one of the local restaurants. An impromptu performance that was charming. Something to remember. Of all the great hotels I stayed at during this nearly four-week biking trip, the staff here was definitely the friendliest though their English was not the most proficient. They tried so hard to please and be of service. They wanted so much to learn about us as well. Great conversations to be had. Breakfast can be eaten outdoor overlooking the valley or indoor. The weather was on my side so I went outside to enjoy the sun coming up over the valley and the fresh air. As the name indicates, the place was built in 1798 but was renovated in 2018. Beautiful rooms, modern and a bit on the eclectic side. Bright inviting colors, lots of space. The only issue I had was with the internet. It took ages and several tries to finally connect. They are proud to serve local food. Here, I got to taste the famous Skuta Sheep Milk Cheese. Everything fresh and delicious although not a lot of choices compared to most other hotels. Considering that there are only six rooms, however, it’s adequate. Nothing is far from this hotel as the walled town is minuscule. Few parking spots, most park at the church and walk to town. I came by bike so didn’t have to worry about that. It will take less than one hour to see it all. Artistic feel, medieval vibe. The day I was there, there was a small flea market in the courtyard in front of the hotel. Not sure how often that happens. Local artists were there. All in all, I would definitely return to this hotel should I be in this area again.

Overall, the hotel is very nice with a veranda , where food and drinks are served, that overlooks the rolling hills with many vineyards. It is a beautiful view. Their wine is good and the winery is on site for a fun tour. It is a nice hotel with great staff who are very helpful. The walk isn’t far to take the shuttle up to Motovun Old Town with great view, shops and restaurants. The restaurant with ‘Mondo’ in its name is excellent! Breakfast was good with fruit, oatmeal/cereal, meats, eggs, bread and other options. When thunderstorms hit, they are violent and something to take cover from as the rain is torrential. Wow! As far as the rooms, our group commented on the many quirks like mirrors above the beds, stools needed to reach the beds and ours was the most unique and not for us. I did select it as an upgrade, but it was a mistake. The bed is three feet off the floor with a complete leather siding. While you can roll out of it, the switches aren’t easy to access or the window coverings at the back. It says an amenity is a safe, there wasn’t one. Plus it had some traffic noise so request a room overlooking the vineyard.
