Atlantica Thalassa Hotel

Just returned from a fabulous 11 night holiday here. The staff are amazing, everyone from the reception, the cleaner, bar staff and restaurant were friendly hardworking and helpful. Special shout out to Ria and David who definitely helped keep two teenagers entertained, Ria with her Zumba, aqua and dancing and David with his participation in their TikToks. Could do with a self service drinks machine at the pool bar to help the bar staff out and more seating available in the main bar for an evening but really couldn’t fault much else. Bus to Kos town €2 there €1.50 back is probably your best bet to get out and about as the taxis are very hit and miss but all in all a lovely small hotel would definitely recommend, will miss the sunsets and cocktails

We had a brilliant stay at the Thalassa Hotel! It was the start of the season so not many kids (bonus for us), a complete range of ages & groups. Twin rooms are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The bathroom is compact but functional. We asked in advance for a top floor room and very pleased to say the hotel did this for us. One thing I would say is that the doors are not great, the noise from doors slamming and people having conversations in the corridor was disturbing. The pool and sunbathing areas were great, we could always get a sunbed no matter what time of day whether it was around the pool or on the grassy area. Free & available sunbeds on the hotel beach were a very welcome bonus, the beach is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Very rocky though, I'd recommend beach shoes if you want to go in the water. A really good selection of food and drinks (8+ cocktails to choose from). The restaurant had a very good mix of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner with different foods to try each lunch & dinnertime. We could always find something new to try, the Greek classics such as Souvaki, Gyros and Moussaka were very nice! The entertainment staff tried their best to get people involved but as it was early season, they didn't get much participation. The nearest bar is about 35 minute walk on the edge of Lambi, it wasn't too hot at this time of year, but in peak summer, the number 2 bus is only 2 euro and I'd recommend getting it into Kos Town for a day / night out. The walk along the water on the beach to Lambi is lovely too. A great stay, we'd recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday with an all inclusive bonus, and a town a little walk away.

This was my 4th visit to this wonderful little hotel and it was still just as good as the 1st. Staff are so friendly and attentive. Location is great. The hotel is clean. Food is fantastic. I want to say a massive thanks to Edyta the reception manager, Me being a silly sausage I left my keys in the hotel room and did not realise untill I got home, I email the hotel and cut a long story short my keys were back to me a week later 😊. We will be seeing next year.

We just came back from what was an amazing holiday. The key highlight at this resort for us was the entertaining team: Ria and David, both of them made our staying at the hotel very happy and pleasant. Such a great personality both. Overall the whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Thalassa hotel kept things simple from the rooms to the variety of food but we had everything we needed to enjoy our staying. The food was fresh and we found something different every day and room were cleaned daily. There was a beach volleyball area, football peach, tennis court, ping pong etc… everything to enjoy and be entertained. The distance to the beach is a very short walk, less than 5 mins… you can view an amazing sunset from there! We did explore the island by bike and it was great. We went with the bike rental company the hotel has a deal with… it was very convenient and everyone was very professional. We also did the 3 islands cruise, worth doing it! Overall I would defo go back to this resort one day.. and again thank u so much to Ria and David! You are both awesome!

We arrived in the early hours of the morning due to flight delays – so we were the only people checking in at reception. We were given a bag containing juice, crisps, a cheese and ham sandwich, fruit and a packet of crisps; which I thought was a nice touch, but at that time of the morning all I wanted was my bed. The room was on the top floor of block 2 overlooking the pools and I was well impressed with the room, view and balcony. It was clean, spacious and had good sized TV on wall, large fridge and safe. Our towels were changed regularly and we had no concerns regarding the room at all. Score 8/10. There are no lifts at this hotel which was exhausting for us carrying our luggage to the block and up 2 flights. No porters here. Unfortunately we didn’t bother with wheeled cases due to the poor luggage allowance Tui gave us and had large carry bags instead. I’m afraid to report that we were not pleased with the food. The trays a lot of the times ran out, the soup pan was found to be empty quickly. And if you did manage to find a bowl then the soup was sometimes cold. They also seemed to have strange concoctions at meal times, nothing that really went together. On one occasion the ‘special’ of the day was burgers. They constantly ran out of wine glasses and we never turned up late to eat either. (Wouldn’t dare). The wine also was not that nice – self served from a pump. Beer was okay my husband said. Score for restaurant food/drink 3/10. The snack bar was excellent and we ate here rather than using the diner: Burger/hotdogs/wraps/salads/fruit and chips - done fresh while you wait all served up by the loveliest of ladies. The pool was quite cold and took some getting in, even in September. The pool could have done with a good clean though, the side walls were quite dirty and stained. Sunbeds were plentiful, and had no bother getting one even at 9am, but they are so uncomfortable and a few were broken in the middle and had no support. The pool bar was a laugh – one very hard working bar man working his socks off and there was quite often a long queue for drinks. This was not good at all. The drinks are served in the tiniest of plastic glasses which themselves could have done with a good clean. So most people were asking for 2 drinks at a time to solve this issue so obviously adding more time to get served. The drinks were nice though. The bar man was so lovely, he deserves a medal for how he handled everything and kept his cool. The pool man on the other hand had the best job in the place, and all reviews telling you that he sat at the bar all day doing nothing but chat and look at his phone are true. So watch your children cos he won’t. The entertainment team were very friendly and took time to sit and chat with us – always a smile and a hello. There was Darts, a ping pong table, a sand volley ball court – complete with cat poo, mini golf course (with holes so tiny you could never win) and swim aerobics sessions if you were interested. Just returned from a very pleasant week here. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Been to quite a few all inclusive hotels and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of food available- the trolleys in the restaurant could do with rubber wheels though lol The glass dual purpose bathroom door/shower door was a novelty. Would certainly return.

Wow! Where do i begin. I spent weeks looking for a holiday as this was our honeymoon and my husbands first ever time abroad. Checked hundreds of reviews and alot put me off. So decided to leave this review as its 100% honest.. From the second we arrived it was phenomenal. Had a few lunch bags ready for us with fruit, juice, sandwiches and crisps due to our early hours arrival. Checked into our room and there's a bottle of wine with two glasses and a lovely welcome for our honeymoon! Rooms were cleaned daily, staff were phenomenal! Rooms were lovely. Pool area was lovely. Lots of sunbeds available. Food was great, i am quite a fussy eater and there was plenty of choice. Only two nights where I was a little disappointed but again it was due to me being quite fussy. Fajita night was brilliant. Drinks were strong, our first full night i got rather drunk and was put to bed by 10pm. When i watched them pour a cocktail by the pool the next day it was no wonder why.... Very very generous on the alcohol. Grounds were gorgeous, entertainment was lovely especially with the time of year as not as busy. Hotel is right next to the beach, just cross a road. It was quite stoney so make sure to wear appropriate footwear. But the beach was lovely, very quiet and so relaxing. Kos town is lovely too. The only complaint me and my husband had was the bus service. We have never seen anything like it. A tin of sardines didnt have a look in. Unreliable bus service, only run once or twice an hour and they have to reject people due to how busy bus is and they crammed as many people on as they physically could. Was extremely overwhelming. The 3 island cruise is a definite must! We chose the black pearl and was a fantastic day trip! All the islands were beautiful. Definitely take euros with you as each island has little shops and residents selling homemade items which are just adorable. So much to do and see. We cannot wait to return. All the staff were genuinely amazing. The entertainment reps would talk to you during the day but wasn't too in your face which was nice. Staff were amazing especially as i have fibromyalgia and I did find the beds just a little harder than expected so I asked if they had a blanket that i could put down to lie on top off and they could not have done more. Blankets, extra sheets. Was absolutely amazing and it definitely did help. Will be requesting the same room when we return next year. Absolutely fantastic week at this hotel. We arrived late but were checked in with relative ease, by the welcoming and professional reception staff, also given a packed meal as we had missed main dinner service. Food was brilliant as all inclusives go, great variety of choice something for everyone. Staff were great, special mention for Ria from the entertainment team, really went out of her way to make sure we all felt welcome. One thing I think could improve this place, set up a beach bar!
