Stenna Apartments

We booked these apartments for a bargain price with EasyJet holidays. We researched the property and knew they would be typical basic Greek apartments. We had two apartments booked and were really happy with the ones we were allocated. They were both ground floor, which still gave us a lovely garden view and sea glimpses. The real bonus was the terraced area by the doors with additional tables, which were great in the morning for breakfast. Ground floor properties still have a private balcony area too, which was great for reading in during the afternoon and evening. Despite arriving very late at night, the owner came and greeted us. We were not forced to buy air con and managed with the cheaper fan option instead. She was very friendly and approachable. The apartments were the most spacious we have had. We’ve been used to apartments with all three beds and kitchenette in one room, so we really enjoyed that you could separate the kitchen and one bed from the other room. The kitchen area was basic but more than adequate for making breakfast and salads for lunch. We really appreciated the large fridge and freezer, meaning we could buy a good supply of ice cream and lollies for the kids. The location of the apartments is private and quiet but you are only 5 minutes walk from a supermarket, tavernas and the beach. If you like cats, there are many that come and visit for a fuss too. We hope to return and would thoroughly recommend.

Another lovely stay at the stenna. They are clean quiet and in a great location. If you need anything the owner is always available and always friendly and helpful. It a perfect fir what you need for a relaxing break in the great resort of Kefalos. Thankyou.

We have just returned from an absolutely perfect stay at the stenna apartments. From arrival (we were delayed so arrived late) our name and appt number were on a board and we found our room easily. We were pleasantly surprised with how big the apartments were. The balcony was great and had a space for drying beach stuff and a table and chairs. They apartments are basic but very comfortable with fresh towels every other day. The bathroom was basic but again…clean and perfect for what we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed but if we were going to cook huge meals we may of struggled. The fridge was brand new and HUGE! The beds were super comfortable…. infact I would say the comfiest bed I’ve ever had whilst in Greece!!!! The air conditioning was €8 a day and definitely a good investment!!!! The location of the apartments was perfect for the beach, restaurants and local bars no more than a 5 minute easy walk for either. The two ladies who run the place were super friendly and helped us out with an iron and a hairdryer. Please don’t take notice of the people who have left bad reviews. This is a lovely place to stay and a bargain for the cost! Thank you so much!!! We can’t wait to return next year!!

We had a great stay at Stenna apartments last week. Would highly recommend them. Spotlessly clean, spacious apartment. Nothing was too much trouble to the sisters who live on sight. Will defnatley be booking again. Kefalos is just fabulous for a chilled out holiday. Thank you Stenna.

We are here now, late August, weather is perfect, Kefalos has its charm as always,, The Sisters ar Stenna are so Kind, I love saying Kalimera to them. The apartments are a really good size,,and clean, it’s nice to have a separate wardrobe area, the wardrobe is huge. Our room has been cleaned lots of times, we stayed in whilst the cleaner done her cleaning one time she was so lovely talking about Kefalos and life,,xx We are in Greece and love the traditional style rooms,, the balconies are worth a million dollars and what beautiful sunrises seen every morning. We would stay again as it’s central for the Harbour End but can also walk ruins area, we found fabulous restaurants very close by xx we would definitely return xx Once you feel the chilled Kefalos vibe, it brings you back again and again…Thankyou all for a wonderful stay….go and explore the charm, it’s soo chilled xx can’t wait to be back xx

Our 2nd time staying at these lovely apartments. Set in a very quiet location but only a few mins stroll to the sea front. They are also conveniently located to access the back road up to the old village. Yes they are basic but we knew that when we booked and are only a 2 star. That being said, they are very spacious and very clean. The 2 sisters that run them are very friendly and when we had an issue with the air con at 9pm at night, because they live on site, they were able to immediately rectify the problem. As a previous reviewer has said, the bathroom is very old, however it is very clean and functional - what more do you need? Yes, you do have to hold the shower head, however this is not a problem. We were lucky and stayed on the 1st floor this visit so had a wonderful sea view. In addition to every apartment having a private balcony, there’s also a communal area in the grounds with large picnic style tables and benches under a huge grape vine that runs the whole length of the apartment. This place provides welcome comfort and shade if you want to eat breakfast or lunch alfresco. We would definitely return to these lovely apartments.

Arrived at 9.30 pm to find a board with name on telling us our room number Never saw owners until we found one sister and asked for air-con the next morning after a very hot night The safe already had key in it so presumed included (not ) One toilet roll left for the week Which is ok we bought some but never stayed anywhere this wasn’t replenished on cleaning days Apartment was cleaned twice in the week but last few days our room felt dirty ( and I’m not sweeping on holiday ) Great that you can keep room on day you leave We hadn’t actually seen the prices by the door wasn’t very obvious On the afternoon we were leaving lady knocked on door requesting 95 euros Luckily we had some cash ( just ) left , The apartments are very peaceful but o wouldn’t return for lack of communication and a very poor bathroom

People need to be more fully informed about these apartments before booking. This was our first visit to Kos and we were prepared for the Greek S/C accomodation to be basic. After a warm welcome, we were shown to our ground floor room, despite having requested a top floor room when we booked 5 months ago. The location was peaceful and there was a lovely vine covered area running the length of the blocks, with picnic tables. It was unfortunate that two couples staying nearbye spent every waking hour sitting there talking and smoking. The views from room were across a veg garden with buildings and then the sea in the distance. There is a very roomy kitchen/diner with a single bed. Other reviews have mentioned the complete lack of cooking utensils and trying to cook anything here on the single electric ring would be impossible. No comfortable sofa to sit on here, just 2 dining chairs at the small table. In the bathroom there was usually hot water, that was the only positive thing here. A small shower tray with a hand held shower hose and a plastic shower curtain was woefully inadequate and also ensured that the floor was awash after every shower. An odd shaped loo meant you had to use a flush and brush technique. One loo roll was supplied and we had to find the owner to ask for a replacement each time it was obviously needed. There was nowhere near enough shelf space, no shaver socket or hairdryer and a towel hook that kept coming off. Talking of towels, these looked clean enough but had the texture of a cheese grater. Lovely on fresh sunburn ! The wardrobe was large and with plenty of hangers and a safe. The overhead light for this area was not working upon our arrival but was promptly fixed on request. The beds were comfortable enough once you got in them but were so low that anyone with mobility issues would really struggle to get out again. A television was an unexpected surprise. The aircon worked well and was essential at night. A decent size terrace had two plastic chairs and a small table and some rope had been strung across one end for for hanging washing. A line of ants went up the wall from the ground to the balcony above, I`m not sure why ! We spotted a few cockroaches on the terrace and a couple in the bedroom and wardrobe. On our final evening before we checked out, one of the owners appeared at our door to ask for payment for the Air-Con and local tax. Be warned, THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS. We just managed to find the 140 odd Euros in cash but why any business should not take card payments in 2023 is beyond me and we should have been informed well in advance about this These apartments have the potential to be lovely, the location is ok and you are not surrounded by other noisy hotels. The basic problem seems to be that they are only maintained to the standard that applied when they were built, probably the 1970s. They desperately need upgrading and bringing into the 21st century. Very dated apartments, shower leaked all over bathroom floor, had to share a mop with 12 apartments. Cockroaches in room and outside. We arrived late and no water/ milk to make hot drink.The only time we saw owners was the morning after when she came for cash for the air conditioning, safe and tourist tax. Not once did they come and ask if we were ok, even had to buy own toilet tissue. Would not stay at those apartments even if they were free.
