Harbour Village Beach Club

Well done! From entry to exit, this place takes very good care of you. They want to make sure your stay the best it could possibly be. A lot of credit goes to the front line people working at the front desk. They listen well and make sure that they do everything they possibly can to make your stay first rate. A+

This was our second time in Bonaire and there was no doubt in my mind, we would stay Harbour Village. There are so many other places we will visit but when we want peace and quiet, this will be it. We came for a milestone birthday, the staff did everything for us, from arranging airport transportation and we say the friendliest face picking us up, Huntley. He was the same gentleman that greeted us last time and he remembered us. He said welcome home. We were greeted again by Sietze and Shainyn, who were and still are incredible host and genuine in their welcome. The rooms are very clean, the entire property for that matter is well kept. I spent a lot of time in the beach, you wouldn’t think there are birds around, the chairs, the hammocks, the beach, everything is always impecable. We wanted to explore so rented a car for the day, we never had to leave to get the car, it was brought to us and picked up at the hotel. Driving in Bonaire was not as bad as I thought it was going to be either. The hotel staff recommended Loc Bay, it’s a must see. The most beautiful place I’ve even seen, we passed the flamingo sanctuary and a few donkeys along the way. For my birthday, hubby arranged for flowers to be sent to our room, they were just gorgeous. We also booked massages, it was also amazing. First time we came to the island and Harbour Village, we just went for walks downtown which was easy and beautiful. We had all our meals at the Balandra on the property for every single meal, we tried this time only lunch outside of the property which was ok. We wound up doing all of our meals again at the Balandra and again it was amazing. Every single meal was made to perfection with fresh ingredients every single time. A special thanks to Claudia, she was here last year as just as sweet and attentive as she was then. Silas was such a gentleman very attentive, my favorite thing was each meal he would say “I have some delicious (insert meal) for you, enjoy and always stopped to say hello and check on us. Manuk at the Balandra was also very sweet and attentive. On our first night I didn’t quite want a full desert but wanted something sweet, she gave me a few green tea packets and lotus cookies (coffee cookies) and that become my daily treat, each night especially on my birthday she made sure I left with cookies when she heard we watched movies at night. If you’re like us and just keep to yourself on vacation, a great recommendation is to bring your own Roku or fire stick and hook it up in the room. Last but not least, my favorite thing was each day after being on the beach, I’d end the day in the pool, which was always clean. I would just float under the open clear skies for almost an hour each day, this became a ritual. The first time we came, I thought it was pricey but let me tell you, worth every single penny. This was and continues to be luxurious, relaxing, peaceful and just above and beyond.

This is the friendliest, most beautiful, peaceful hotel in a lush tropical setting! Once here you do not want to leave! Exquisite quiet beach perfect to enjoy the gorgeous view of the turquoise water. The restaurant, La Balandra serves wonderful meals on a ship like setting where you can watch divers, snorkelers and all the wildlife under water and above! service is friendly and impeccable!

We have stayed at a few other resorts in Bonaire and find Harbour Village to be the best for us. It is smaller and more compact. Much more personable. Love Love it.

This was our second stay at Harbour Village Beach Club, and we will definitely be back soon. The resort is immaculate and beautiful, and we absolutely loved shore diving right from the resort’s white sand beach. However, it is the resort’s staff that make the stay so special. All of the staff members with whom we dealt went out of their way to make us feel like family. Luis Fonseca was an exceptionally good dive instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Dennis at the dive center was incredibly helpful and professional every day and made important repairs to our dive equipment on two separate occasions so we did not need to cancel any of our dives. Niels at the La Balandra restaurant was extremely professional and kept us entertained while giving us superb service. Tijn at La Balandra was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave us great service. Huntley of the valet team was extremely helpful and treated us like family as well. It is staff members like these that make our stays at Harbour Village so very special. This was our second stay with Harbour Village and we will be back again because of the positive experiences created by staff members like these.

With only a single blemish, this was an fabulous vacation that started and ended with an amazing staff dedicated to making our stay as perfect as possible. A month before our trip, I received a call from Katie, who introduced herself as our concierge, and spent significant time with me going through our stay, offering advice on activities and restaurants, and offering to make reservations for us. To be clear, she wasn't selling activities or pushing certain restaurants - she was offering to do the legwork to make whatever I wanted, or needed, happen. For example, I followed up a few days later and asked her to reserve a truck for me for one of the days. She responded within a few hours later with a quote (better than I could have gotten myself) for a truck to be delivered to the resort and then picked up the following day. We went with it and it worked out awesomely. The complimentary airport transfer was undertaken by Huntley, who gave us a quick tour on the way, got our bags to our room, and, most importantly, let us know his local band was playing nearby on Wednesday. (We went and saw the band. They were awesome, playing native music to a very receptive audience (and cold beers for me!)). Upon arrival to the resort, we were greeted by Dawn, another super-friendly concierge who gave us a tour of the beautiful resort and graciously answered question after question. We interacted with Dawn, Katie and the other wonderful concierge staff throughout the stay - always so helpful and nice. As we arrived late afternoon on our first day and wanted to dive the next day, we went to the dive shop right as it was closing. We were told we had to do an orientation/assessment shore dive before we could get on a boat, but that if we did it first thing in the morning when the shop opened, we could make the 10:30 dive. I already knew this was a requirement of the marina, not the resort, so no worries, but this is something I would want to know in advance. We headed to the restaurant, sat at the bar, and had Richie make us his choice of drinks. Fabulous!! I'm going to gloss over the resort itself, as others have covered it well. I want to reiterate that it is spotless, with the staff always (ALWAYS) working hard to make it beautiful. We stayed in rooms 324 and 325, which were second floor oceanfront with a perfect balcony view of a white beach, palms trees and blue waters. I should note that we had a kitchenette, with a four-burner stove, full sized fridge and convection oven/microwave. This mattered to us. A tip - the mosquitos come out after sundown. If you sit on your balcony, you can change the direction of the fan. If you have the wind blowing down at the highest speed, the mosquitos won't be a problem. We interacted with a ton of locals during this stay, often in bars or on water excursions. To a person, everyone told us the Harbour Village BC was top notch. And they were right.
