Tempurung Seaside Lodge Kota Kinabalu

First things first, the beach. It is magnificent! The whole beach spans wide and long and is very quaint and pleasant. It is clean as well with very little sandflies! But, that's about it for this place. The amazing beach, the rest, well, much repairs and upgrades needed to be made to make the whole place, well, presentable to say the least. The food is nothing to be amazed or wowed, but it is decent, and the food service is fairly efficient and speedy. The lodging, we stayed at a Deluxe suite, but the name is not appropriate with the supposed Deluxed name of the room. It is far from Deluxe, at best, it is a rundown version of basic room amenities. The airconditioning is very good tho, but apart from that, the bed has a weird smell, the pillows are smushed, the whole room experience is very subpar. But I take it most people who venture here don't stay forever in the room, so there's that. One thing tho, I did not find any shower/water tap to accomodate visitors to clean before heading back to their room after enjoying the beach. We had to clean ourselves in our own bathroom, thus forcing us to go into our room with sands on our feet, easily making our room sandy. It would be better if the lodging could provide a shower/water tap to ensure the visitors can clean up a bit [clean off those sands] before heading into their room. Or maybe they do, I just didn't manage to find it. Overall, the whole experience is pleasant, despite the lacking of this lodge. We paid RM200 for our room for 1 night, I suppose it is slightly worth it. But, if anything were to make us go back again, is the amazing beach! The beach is a 5-star beach if anything.
