Kunming Liyue City Hotel

Can’t beat the price honestly. Location’s great: 10-15 minutes to the pedestrian street and park. Room’s small, but has what you need. Was worried since all rooms are smoking rooms and I hate tobacco smell, but mine didn’t smell at all. Only issue was the window lock’s broken so couldn’t close it properly. Staff’s super helpful though. Solid spot for a short stay with tons of cafes around.

The hotel is on Beijing Road, very near the overhead pedestrian bridge (I don’t know why I had problems finding it at first though). My room faced the road but it’s not that noisy. The room is just nicely sized. There is a halal restaurant right next door and some shops. The hotel is also near to Doufuchang Lane where there are many restaurants

I can vouch for this place. This place is located as indicated on trip.com. Google Maps may not work in China, depending on what network you are using. Besides, Google Maps is very incomplete in China. Baidu Maps is Chinese-only. A better option for foreigners is Amap. If you're a foreigner visiting Kunming, download this app beforehand and log in. If you search for the hotel with the name given on Trip, you should be able to find it. If you are coming from Kunming Airport, ride the metro line 6 from the airport to the Tangzixiang Station, and then transfer to line 2 at the same station. Use the line to get to Jiaosanqiao station. Exit the station through exit A. All of these transports are decently accessible (with elevators, just look for them): you can carry your luggage with you. After exiting through exit A of Jiaosanqiao station, cross the road at the intersection toward the east; then turn left (so, north) and go straight for some 350m, and you'll see a "Carrie Hotel" on your right. That's the place. I don't know why the title differs from the one on Trip. If you browse the map a little bit, you'll see this place is located really conveniently. You can leave your luggage at the room, and walk to the area around Nanping Street. That's one of the places you want to visit if you are visiting Kunming.

The hotel is nice. I come early and they can provide me to check in at 9 a.m. The bed is really comfy. The amenities and facility is complete: mineral water, toiletries, comb, hot water kettle, air conditioner, washing machine at 2nd floor, self machine for milk tea/coffee at 1st floor. It is worth it to stay.

Ok. Just few mins walk to metro station. Got halal food shop nearby. Price also cheap. Ok la…

Nice hotel, nice location!
