Hotel berhampiran Old Street Kunming, Kunming

The location of the hotel was very convenient as it is very centrally located and close to the shopping district and old town area. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, highly recommended for a short stay in Kunming!

Room - spacious, shower pressure and temperature is good. Thou temperature might take 2-3 secs to warm up (the weather is cold when i’m staying here), it won’t drop once desired temperature is fixed. I had pass by other rooms on the way to the elevator, and had peeped into other rooms when the cleaner were cleaning them. Noticed that all the rooms i saw, are spacious too. Breakfast is good too, thou most likely most hotels will be serving around the same stuff Location- Best!!! Kunming old street, nanping pedestrian street is literally across the road. Just be careful not to get lost inside there, cause it can be confusing once you are in the area. Do take note when taking taxi, didi, they can’t stop directly in front of the hotel cause it is the main road, and just after a traffic light. So u have to walk around 30sec to the next intersection. It’s basically once you step out of the main entrance of the hotel, turn right and walk to the next road. If you are joining a tour and they picking you up, most likely it’s that intersection too. Will definitely stay here again if i’m visiting Kunming again.

Quiet space. Many dishes on the menu. Clean, slightly smelly of cigarettes. The hotel is centrally located, very convenient for traveling. Especially close to the old town.

Location is fantastic, for shopping, day trips out, food, chilling. The hotel staff are really excellent. Warm, helpful, kind. They would ask about our day, did we enjoy the food/breakfast, would we like the evening snack and bring it up to our room. They would meet along the street to help bring bags into the hotel, they would escort us out to the street to find our ride. They are super helpful in every aspect. The room and hotel in general is really very clean. They even cleaned our suitcases and wrote a note to let us know they did. We had a spacious, romantic room, two sinks, separate toilet and shower area, two doorways to the sinks. View of a small courtyard and side street. The bed was huge and really comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Select what you'd like each evening for he morning. Coffee was freshly ground Yunnan beans. Afternoon tea was just right, biscuit, a sweet soup, fruits and even popcorn if you like. The free laundry / dryers were very useful. One machine allows a quick simple 15 min wash and spin - just right for mildly soiled clothing. We spent 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Shall I share a couple of other secret treats about Mengjing Xiyue? (a) they provide a foot soak in the room each evening with a sachet of herbs to soak your feet with; (b) the roof top sitting/garden area is lovely for morning quiet time or an evening coffee/bee/chill time - especially cos the weather was perfect when we were there. I seriously enjoyed both these little treats. For those thinking of booking and visiting, be really genuinely nice with the staff. Everyone of them is precious, hardworking and gentle. And try their fresh flower biscuits which they serve tea time. You'll be thinking, maybe it's cheaper out in the supermarket - nope, not really. We shopped around, tried a whole variety and the hotel's own fresh flower biscuits' the winner. We regret not buying a whole crate cos it's that good! For the sceptics who can't believe a hotel can be that good ... yippie, find another hotel so Mengjing Xiyue may continue to be that peaceful oasis for the weary wanderlusts.

The staff are very accommodating. Our flight at 1:00am but check in was at 14:00 and we were very late. The staff were really friendly and efficient with the checking in process. The 2 receptionist spoke English. The room is spacious with great amenities and Dyson hair dryer. Water and rose moon cakes were provided on upon our welcome. The AC is great, the shower water pressure is amazing. The bed is comfy and the pillows are to great. The breakfast is good and the best part is that it’s open from 7:30am -12midday. I couldn’t believe it myself! The food is good with a range of rice porridge, fresh fruit, noodles, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, youtiao (dough stick bread), vegetables, cereal and a range of desserts. They have a selection of coffee, tea and juices. There’s also a self service laundry area and open roof top area with a pool.

Bilik ini agak besar dan mempunyai semua kemudahan dan peralatan yang diperlukan. Hotel ini mempunyai persekitaran ***a halaman yang indah. Wanita di kaunter penerimaan tetamu memberikan perkhidmatan yang sangat baik dan sentiasa responsif kepada semua permintaan. Kakitangan perkhidmatan lain di hotel juga sangat mementingkan perkhidmatan. Secara keseluruhan ia adalah penginapan yang menyenangkan. Hanya ada satu cadangan kecil. Saya berharap bahawa peralatan mandian di dalam bilik, seperti gel mandian, syampu, dan lain-lain, mempunyai peralatan yang boleh diperbaiki atau dikunci pada dulang, atau datang dalam botol kecil.

The hotel is well located and allowed us to make our way within 10 mins to the Kunming train station. However we find the bed too firm for us. Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant but staff accommodated our request to pack some food for our trip early morning out of Kunming. Napping street and old Kunming old street are worth a visit. We had walked from Wen Lin street through the Jade lake to the old street. I highly recommend this walk, lovely!

Though some of us were not feeling well, the hotel went above and checked us in the morning without charge. Good breakfast and excellent service as you would expect from a Hampton property.

booked this hotel last minute as the previous hotel was not up to standard. 欣怡 was amazing. what a thoughtful staff. novotel ought to promote her. she kindly showed us the way to the convenient store and introduced a lot of nice places for us to visit and to have our meals. you can tell that she’s not the pretentious type but someone that puts her heart and soul into what she does/enjoys. // this is one of the best novotel hotel i’ve stayed. room is SO clean. they even have kids bedroom slippers and toothbrush. everything was thoughtfully planned out. nice shower system as well. they have dyson too haha

We stayed at the Huagu hotel for only one night as we had an early flight the next morning. The hotel is perfect for that purpose (i.e., early flight or late arrival). Their 24/7 shuttle buses to and from the airport terminal are very convenient. The hotel is far from the city center though so if you are staying in Kunming for extended period such as sightseeing, the location is far from the major attractions. The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. We liked the AI service. It's cool! Overall, the hotel is very good value for money. We would recommend it to travellers passing through the city of Kunming.
