Hotel Kyoto dengan Bar

Lovely clean hotel a short walk (or free shuttle) to kyoto station). All was good. Very fast wifi and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast either downstairs or in the revolving restaurant. The only oddity was the swimming pool and gym which had restricted usage hours and required payment on top! Was not worth it and even if it was the unusual hours of operation made it unfeasible. Would stay again though unless I really needed the gym and pool.

A very pleasent place to stay. Rooms spacious, clean and quite. Great breakfast with many options, they also have gluten free, but you need to make sure to tell them while you prenote for the hotel, so they'll know. Staff perfect.

The hotel is very comfortable, clean and the aesthetic is very nice with a beautiful entrance and Japanese style rooms. The onsen is also lovely, a decent size and great to relax in after a day of walking around Kyoto. The basic room has everything you need although they are quite small. If you are travelling with large suitcases they will take up most of the spare space in the room. In terms of location the hotel is about 10min walk from the main station and 8min from the closest metro stop. There is a fantastic ramen shop on the same street which gets long queues but is definitely worth the wait. There is a ‘tourism tax’ which you have to pay upon arrival - about 7€ per person. Overall the hotel was very nice and I would recommend staying there.

There are many things to like about this hotel but let me start with the most important- its people. I must give special thanks to the Front Office Manager- Yuki. On one of the nights, I had unfortunately developed a high fever- coming from abroad, I was in an anxious state about the care I may receive or what my next steps should be. All the hospitals in the surrounding area were full and could not accept walk ins. We rang the front desk and the manager Yuki reassured us that he would assist in ensuring I received proper medical attention asap. He made a few calls to his personal network and sure enough within minutes he had secured us a slot at a local hospital, arranging everything for us to ensure we were attended to immediately by the hospital staff and effectively treated. He went out of his way to help arrange the transport and did it all in the most warm, friendly demeanour. Just interacting with him had put me at ease and the extent he went to help was incredible. I had never experienced such personalised care from one of the hotel staff in my life and have stayed at multiple properties both locally and globally- Thank you Yuki, you were truly amazing and I hope to see you in Singapore! Location wise the hotel is situated pretty centrally - you've got access to multiple convenient stores, train station, bus stops and the area is relatively quiet and peaceful. Rooms were spacious enough and clean too.

Excellent location with superb cleaniness and polite/helpful front desk. However room is too small for 3 pax as sofa was converted to bed and hardly any space to move around without knocking each other.

지하철 옆 도보 10초거리에 위치해있지만 중심 시내와는 2정거장정도 떨어져있어 조금 아쉬움. 다만 주변에 맛집도 많고 조용해서 나름 추천. 정체모를 택스를 요구했는데 문의해도 스텝의 영어가 서툴러서 제대로 된 설명은 못듣고 걍 냈음(1박 400엔×3일). 조금 아쉬운 부분. 그외엔 다 좋았음. 방도 넓고 화장실도 깨끗하고 청소도 잘해줌. 1층에 카페도 아기자기하니 분위기 좋아서 한번 가보는걸 추천.

The hotel's architecture and interior design were a true reflection of Kyoto's aesthetic beauty. The moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and harmony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with traditional Japanese elements seamlessly integrated into the contemporary design. The serene garden views from the common areas only added to the overall charm and provided a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. The staff members at the hotel were the epitome of hospitality. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their genuine smiles and willingness to assist with any request created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Their knowledge of the local area and recommendations for sightseeing and dining were invaluable, enabling me to make the most of my time in Kyoto. The room I stayed in was a haven of luxury and elegance. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, it exuded a sense of serenity that allowed me to unwind after a day of exploration. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the comfortable bedding to the carefully curated amenities.

Easily the best hotel that we've stayed in Japan so far. Location is great as what everyone says. Right smack in a shopping district with full of eateries. Too bad I only booked 2 nights in Kyoto. Should have stayed longer. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Guided me through their self check in system which is user friendly as well. Will definitely come back to this hotel again.

I cannot compliment the Gate Hotel enough! Set in the heart of Kyoto, it’s 20-30 mins walk from major touristy spots! And on both sides of the hotel, it’s a foodie’s heaven as there’s heaps and heaps of restaurants surrounding! The hotel itself also has some very fancy restaurants overlooking the city with a fabulous view. In terms of service, I was amazed by the staff as this was the first hotel which not only had a check in time earlier than other hotels which is 3 pm but they said our room was already ready and even let us check in early without me asking. So far from my experience other hotels were quite strict to check in times and not allowing early check in. The room itself was also comfortable and spacious enough for 2 people and it was pretty good that they had the bathroom and shower seperate which is a bit convenient when more than one person is staying in the room. Furthermore, the hotel has monthly events on specific dates and we were lucky enough to experience an amazing show with the highest order of the Geisha’s giving us a spectacular performance which was also complimentary for the hotel guests. Generally, when I visit the same city twice I like to experience different hotels but it’s safe to say that on my next visit to Kyoto il definitely be staying at The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa by HULIC!! 7 on 5 rating easily

Location is great. Just a min walk from Nijo station. There are quite a few eateries ard the area. Room is clean and spacious. Breakfast has limited variety but is good quality. Gym is small (there are weights, treadmill and bike). Love the public bath too.
