Ulasan Ala Hotel Kyoto

There's an outdoor hot tub and an indoor one, plus a sauna. It's a bit small, but it wasn't crowded, so it worked out well. The room has a bathtub, and the bathroom is a wet/dry design. The toiletries are the same as those at Nagoya Airport, and they're quite good. The hotel is near Tokyo Tower, which makes dining options very convenient.

I've never encountered such a disgusting hotel. When I was checking out, I found blood on the duvet, which they had covered with a bathrobe. You wouldn't have noticed it without moving the bathrobe. When I reported it to the hotel, they refused to offer any compensation. This is by far the most appalling hotel experience I've had in Japan.

This hotel is super convenient, located just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. You'll find plenty of convenience stores, shops, and restaurants nearby. Both the facilities and service are excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Kyoto.

Cozy hotel with spacious rooms, and great onsen with indoor and outdoor shared bath. Place is clean and has a nice vibe to it. Walking distance from Kyoto station, but that’s also the closest subway station which is not ideal. Hotel is really strict with checkout, I have moved out of room right after 11, and while closing the door I could already hear the phone ringing. Each extra hour cost 3300 yen, which I think is crazy when you compare to the room rate. Other than that hotel has washing units separated by genders, a lot of vending machines and restaurant that serves Sukiyaki/shabu-shabu

My favourite stay during my January holiday! It’s so nice, cozy and comfortable! The hotel meets the expectation of 4-star hotels and is very convenient, being located basically next to Kyoto Station. It’s also located near some bus stops that are essential for travelling to Kyoto’s temples and shrines scattered across the city! Room sizes are generous for cities, with separate toilet and bathroom with bathtub. Service was great! Most definitely worth the money and won’t put a hole in your wallet! Lowkey didn’t want to check out 🤣

Super clean and nice room! Expected it because it is a new hotel! For a hotel in japan, this room is considered spacious and love the cleanliness. The public was awesome as well! Recommended!

I booked this for my parents last year, and they gave great feedback. So, this time, I booked it for my own trip. However, I didn't encounter the Chinese-speaking front desk staff my parents mentioned, but English communication was perfectly fine. The location is super convenient, right next to Kyoto Station, with a 7-Eleven just across the street. I highly recommend getting the breakfast; it's absolutely delicious! They have curry rice, oden, miso soup, and even matcha ice cream. The top floor has a free public bath, and it wasn't too crowded when I went. The hygiene was excellent, 100 times better than bathhouses in China. Room amenities are self-serve downstairs. I even borrowed a curling iron from the front desk, which required a 3000 yen cash deposit. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're traveling with seniors or children. The room size is quite generous for Japan.

The hotel is a nice stay but with some obvious shortcomings. The main drawback was breakfast. For a four-star hotel, the breakfast was underwhelming: bland taste, and things that should be hot, like tempura and harsh brown, were all cold. It was not vegetarian-friendly, esp in the hot savoury section. I mentioned this to the hotel, who confirmed their lack of accommodation for vegos. The window to the bathroom also stays slightly bright thru the night, so it might affect light sleepers. Otherwise the location is fantastically close to Kyoto station with many nice restaurants nearby, easy bus access to the shrines, and the onsen was pretty decent. Laundry is free as long as you purchase the detergent.

Amazing stay!! Room was spacious and super clean. Onsen was phenomenal, was very clean as well and always felt REFRESHED after onsen. Recommend this place to everyone!

This hotel was great, honestly the best service experience I've had at a hotel in Japan. They take your luggage directly to your room, and the breakfast has a huge variety and is absolutely delicious! The onsen is fantastic! Plus, the location isn't far from Kyoto Station.
