Ulasan HOTEL LiVEMAX BUDGET Kyoto Gojo

We often stay at Hotel LiveMax hotels in Japan, but this time it was really bad. The room had a strong odor, the bathroom floor was dirty with many black stains, and the sink was also filthy. The wardrobe where you hang clothes had broken wooden panels. I've never experienced anything this bad; other LiveMax hotels aren't like this! This time, there were four of us, and we even booked two rooms! On the plus side, the rooms here are larger compared to other LiveMax hotels. However, the hotel's location was inconvenient, requiring a longer walk to get around. The nearest convenience store also didn't have much selection, which was a drawback. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends!

I stayed here for a business trip to Kyoto. It's about a 10-minute bus ride from Kyoto Station, with several bus lines available. Since I stayed on a weekday, it was only 3,600 yen for one person, which was a really great deal! The bed was a double? or a twin, so it was spacious and comfortable. There's a Family Mart, restaurants, and bakeries nearby, which was very convenient. While the walls were a bit thin, the shower temperature was a little tricky to adjust, and there were some cleaning issues (like a can left on the floor), I can't complain considering the price! haha

The room was just okay. The soundproofing was terrible, so if you're sensitive to noise, don't even bother, you won't get any sleep. They don't even let you store luggage. It's also far from the subway station and there's nothing to eat nearby; the area is quite desolate and quiet.

When I booked, there were no non-smoking rooms available, so I reserved a smoking room and requested a non-smoking treatment. However, upon entering the room, I was appalled. The smell of smoke had deeply permeated every corner; it felt as if several people were smoking in the room simultaneously. I suffer from severe allergic rhinitis and am extremely sensitive to odors. I negotiated with the hotel to switch rooms, but it didn't solve the problem—the entire floor reeked of smoke. This completely shattered my previous impression of Japanese hotels, and I've traveled to Japan over 20 times. I then contacted Trip.com, who helped mediate. The hotel agreed to deodorize, but their solution was a small air purifier, which was completely ineffective. I asked to check out, but the hotel refused. Thankfully, I was moved to a non-smoking single room the next day. Although it was a downgrade, the smoke smell was gone, so I managed for a night. I want to caution anyone sensitive to smoke to be extremely careful when booking. Requesting smoke removal is simply impossible here, and the hotel's facilities are truly 'economy' level, yet the prices were very high for year-end.

Very nice inexpensive hotel walking distance to the train station and many tourist attractions if you don't expect luxury.

Nice, comfy hotel room with such a cheap price in Kyoto.However, that's a little bit far from JR/subway stations, rely on bus for transportation if you based on here.

The staff were polite. The laundry room was not clean. There was a sign with food dripping down. It was like that for over a day. The dryers do not get cleaned often, filters were full. Our room was nice and spacious but our bathroom was tiny. The curtains had horrible stains on them. The AC needs cleaning, air was stuffy. The hotel room really needs to be refurbished. I’ve stayed in other hotels with similar pricing and their level of cleanliness and comfort was much higher.

Uf, I stayed here cause no other affordable place was available. Bad price quality ratio. Very smelly carpet and bathroom, lack of ventilation, wc dropping water and fridge very noisy, very bad lighting. Table packed with stuff we are not going to use as microwave, tv, heater...but no room for personal use. The twin bed room size is big, but still smelly. It seems they haven't updated the hotel for 50 years.
