Villa di La Spezia

Non ho trovato l'hotel all'altezza delle 4 stelle. Pur avendo prenotato una camera superior non ho trovato le ciabattine in bagno ma neppure la carta igienica. La camera inoltre manca del tipico angolo bollitore e infusi che sarebbe stato senz'altro ancora più apprezzabile in inverno. Spiacevole anche il dover riaccendere circa ogni quarto d'ora le lampade che hanno uno spegnimento automatico probabilmente per risparmio energetico così come non ho trovato efficace un sistema di ricambio aria in bagno. Per il resto la posizione è ottima, in vicinanza sia al centro storico che alla stazione ferroviaria, ed il personale estremamente gentile. Colazione nella media, apprezzabile la possibilità di usufruirne fino alle 11:00 senza vincoli di fasce orarie.

There are no bells or whistles here. It is a very basic, clean no-frills hotel with an incredibly convenient location for accessing the Cinque Terre towns. We planned to spend 4 days at Cinque Terre but we had a car and we absolutely did not want to drive around the notoriously difficult Cinque Terre towns. Hotel Mary was a perfect solution. They reserved a car parking spot for us around the corner (street parking but free). We were able to leave our car for the next 4 days and didn’t have to go near it until we were leaving. The train station is directly opposite the hotel so each morning, we simply walked across the road, jumped on the train and got off at whichever CT town we’d picked for that day’s hike. It couldn’t have been easier. Despite the proximity of the station, we did not hear any train noise during the night. The station is elevated above the hotel so the noise doesn’t seem to travel. The main road outside is quite busy so there was some traffic noise but nothing excessive and it did not disturb us even though our room faced the road at the front of the hotel. The room was dated and the decor was old-fashioned but our room was spacious and large bags could be easily tucked out of the way. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. When I had trouble finding the allocated car spot, they walked with me back to my car to show me exactly where it was. An unexpected benefit was the number of restaurants within close walking distance which (unlike the Cinque Terre restaurants), stayed open late. This gave us the option of sometimes heading back to La Spezia and still being able to walk out for a late meal. Between the hotel and Piazza Garibaldi, there is a strip of lively restaurants and we ate here a couple of times. Overall, for price and location, this hotel was a good option.

On our tour of northern Italy, we stopped in La Spezia. We chose this location to visit Cinque Terre. We had booked a double room at the CDH Hotel La Spezia for one night from 17.7. to 18.7.22 via an online booking platform. The hotel is very centrally located, 10 mins to the train station and 10 mins to the port, on foot. The shopping street is just around the corner. The reception by the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided us with all the information about their house and La Spezia. The room was already ready to move into. That is positive. It is recommended to book a parking space. This costs 12 euros per night. There is a hotel-owned garage, which is not far away. You can also park in front of the hotel, free of charge if there is space. The room is functionally furnished and has everything you need. The room size was ok for us. The bathroom is a bit small but ok. The room is clean. The breakfast was very good for this class of hotel. Everything you could wish for was available. Enough space, fresh products etc. Even freshly squeezed orange juice. We can recommend the CDH Hotel La Spezia for 1 to 3 nights.

Hotel con buena ubicacion, nuevo y limpio. Cerca de la esacion , a 5 minutos de una avenida principal y a 15 minutos andando del puerto. Hotel ideal para visitar cinquè terre. Como observación a tener en cuenta, me aloje en la habitación 319 y el aparato del aire acondiciondo tiraba el aire directamente al cabezal de la cama, cosa que es muy molesta.

This is a fantastic homestay with spacious and tidy rooms, and a great balcony. The mini bar is excellent and the TV is smart and high-quality. The service is exceptional, with an early check-in option and patient explanations of sightseeing tips for the Cinque Terre area. The multiple door locks provide a sense of security. Questa è una fantastica casa vacanze con camere spaziose e ordinate, e un bellissimo balcone. Il minibar è eccellente e la TV è intelligente e di alta qualità. Il servizio è eccezionale, con l'opzione di check-in anticipato e pazienti spiegazioni di consigli turistici per l'area delle Cinque Terre. Excellent location, just at the train station. We booked through booking.com and got an excellent deal. We were 3 adults and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate families and a small group of friends. Please note that there is city tax to be paid on site. Also just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the staff. Amazingly helpful. Helped us to check in after hours and then when staying again, helped to order pizza 😊. And you can store your luggage. Breakfast is included. You will get a voucher which can be redeemed in 2 places. It's for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry. Typical light Italian breakfast. Delicious. Just a note, to make sure you go to the correct one, ask before. As there are 2. One has RED flower pots in front and the other has WHITE. The staff is very helpful, and can chat to via WhatsApp. Thanks again!!!
